Welcome to the National Center for State Courts, Budget Resource Center (BRC)
Through the years the National Center for State Courts (NCSC) has been a large contributor to the court community’s information on budgets and judicial salaries. In 2003, when courts faced a severe fiscal crisis, the NCSC formed a state budget working group led by Vice-President of Court Services, Dan Hall, to provide the state courts with the information they needed. Some of the products were a budget listserv, a survey assessing the extent of the fiscal downfall, and several seminal works on court budgets.
Now in 2008, courts are again hurting and as the budget crisis worsens, NCSC is producing this Website to provide critical information to the courts. Here you will find CourTopics, Court Executive Development Papers, Library Resources, Trends articles, Justice System Journal articles and Judicial Salary Information—everything NCSC has available on state court budgeting. Our goal is to provide comprehensive information on the topic of budgeting; all in one place.
As NCSC produces more information it will be added to this Website. If anyone has state information to share or comments on the site please do not hesitate to contact our staff. |
