Wyoming
Actions Underway
- Wyoming is both a state and locally funded court system. The state pays the salaries of the judges, court reporters, some other court personnel and the majority of operating expenses and the cost of automation. The counties pay for the district court clerks’ offices.
- Wyoming’s budget was not reduced in FY09. It is facing a $1.2 million reduction (greater than 8%) in FY10.
- Wyoming is eliminating out of state travel and reducing in-state travel. It is reducing purchases for the law library and reducing other operating expenses.
