Actions Underway

• Tennessee is both state and locally funded.  The State pays the salaries of general jurisdiction judges, court reporters and some other court personnel.  The state pays the costs of automation and travel.
  
• Tennessee’s budget was not reduced in FY09.  In FY10, Tennessee will take a $5 million recurring reduction, but will receive non-recurring restoration funds of $2.3 million to help bridge the loss.
  
• Tennessee has eliminated 29 positions.
