Kentucky
Actions Underway
- As of December 2008, the Kentucky Judicial Branch is not planning any furloughs or layoffs. Employees will get their 1% annual increment that the General Assembley approved in the 2008 budget session.
- Kentucky is a state-funded court system. Its budget was cut by $7.6 million (4%) in FY09. The FY10 budget has not been finalized.
- Kentucky is keeping some judicial and staff positions vacant but is holding off on decisions concerning furloughs or layoffs until its appropriation is finalized.
