Hannaford-Agor, Paula, and Nicole Waters. "Examining Voir-Dire in California."  (2004).  Voir dire is one of the least-studied aspect of jury trials. In this project, NCSC extracted panel information for nearly 7800 jury trials in 15 California counties to examine panel size, numbers of jurors excused for hardship, for cause, and by peremptory challenge in felony, misdemeanor, and civil trials.

Center for Jury Studies  (May 1987).  A Supplement to the Methodology Manual for Jury Systems.
