Evaluation of Pennsylvania's Protection from Abuse.

Sixty-two Pennsylvania counties were surveyed in regard to the Protection from Abuse Database (PFAD). Forty-two counties actively participated in PFAD and were asked to respond to items pertaining to implementation, PFAD usage, satisfaction with PFAD, advantages and disadvantages, and future plans. Twenty counties currently inactive in the PFAD program were surveyed to better understand the reasons for their lack of participation in PFAD. Five counties were excluded from the survey because they were currently undertaking training in PFAD. The survey was conducted by telephone during October, November, and December of 2003.
