- The Institute for Court Management and National Institute of Corrections, U.S. Bureau of Prisons, have begun discussions to develop an experimental workshop promoting evidence-based sentencing, a new, broad-scoped method to positively affect probationers based on behavioral science and proven results. The seminar will be offered to presiding judges, court executives and chief probation officers serving general jurisdiction trial courts.
- NCSC’s Court Consulting Services completed a constituency survey project for Napa County, Calif., and also has developed a strategic constituency service research model for limited jurisdiction courts. The methods measure public satisfaction with access and fairness, as well as find preferred solutions to constituents’ most commonly faced problems.
