Abstract:

Since 1994, Sierra Systems has provided information technology consulting to some of the largest courts in the U.S. and Canada. Sierra Systems helps Courts reach new levels of efficiency through Performance Management, Information Sharing and Public Access.

Description:

Examples of our work include:

• For a provincial level court, Sierra’s Business Intelligence Center of Excellence implemented advanced performance measures based on the NCSC Court Performance Standards.

• For the largest general jurisdiction court in the U.S., Sierra implemented an advanced document management solution that provides access to tens of millions of pages of court files over the Internet.

• For a large Northwest court, Sierra designed, developed and implemented an e-filing solution that was honored by Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government for innovation in government service.

• For multiple large County jurisdictions, Sierra has implemented NIEM based exchanges of various Justice and Public Safety information, including with courts at the municipal, district and superior levels.

• For a statewide administrative court office, Sierra is establishing a Project Management Office to support the evolution of the state’s case management systems.
