Description: Crowe has dedicated teams focused on key industry issues for state and local government. Crowe has extensive experience serving State and Local Government clients in a variety of project roles. Crowe is uniquely positioned to understand the specific needs of government clients, as well as the characteristics of government agencies that impact the public to whom it serves. What makes Crowe’s State and Local Government projects successful is the initial relationshipbuilding to understand each client’s distinct risks, resource constraints, political environment, stakeholder groups, and jurisdictional focus.
Our Peformance Group serves over 200 governmental organizations nationwide, including justice agencies, state universities, community colleges, cities, towns, counties, school and library districts, special service districts, state agencies and quasigovernmental building corporations, commissions, and joint action committees.
Within our Performance Services division, Crowe has a specific consulting group that provides services related to public safety and the criminal justice system. Through Crowes depth of resources, the Justice and Public Safety practice provides a complete range of services that would otherwise require state and local justice system officials to contract with at least three or more separate firms. Services offered by the Justice and Public Safety Practice include:
Justice system data collection and analysis,
Programmatic and diagnostic needs assessment,
System wide strategic and master planning,
Facility requirements definition and prearchitectural planning,
Operational and business process improvement/redesign,
Information technology and communications planning,
Budget and financial analysis/advisory,
Human resource management/staffing analysis, and
Project and Program Management including project management of implementation of case management systems, corrections and juvenile management software, and other technology solutions.
Crowe has a deep commitment to working with state and locallevel criminal justice systems and courts. In addition to recent and ongoing work with states and counties addressing management of correctional facilities and jails, Crowe has extensive experience managing projects involving court systems, the business of the courts, and the intersection of those business processes with the technologies used to support and enhance the work of the courts and the criminal justice system.
