Portable Media Messaging Profile:
The first of many possible messaging profiles to support and implement the core spec. Although it is unlikely that any court would actually implement this profile, it had three purposes. First, it meets a need to convey documents that are too large for the online filing system to handle. Second, it can provide a backup system when the online version is down. Third, it acted as a kind of thought experiment to verify that the modularity of the architecture is correct when separating the messages (with content) from the message profiles that deliver that content.

Document Signature Profiles:
This group of profiles supports technical requirements that were better separated from the messaging profiles. Signature Profiles are defined in section 6 of the LegalXML Electronic Court Filing 3.0 specification. A court can choose to implement one of many potential signature profiles.
