Court Technology Bulletin

Welcome to the all new online Court Technology Bulletin. The new Bulletin is continually updated by NCSC staff, always providing you with the latest court technology news and information.

The new Bulletin is available in several formats:

HTML

All posts are available as HTML-formatted web pages. In addition to viewing the posts, you can also see all posts by a particular author, as well as all posts in a certain subject area or article type. View the latest posts as HTML.

Plain Text

All posts are also available as plain text files. Plain text files are often easier to view via a PDA. They may also work better with software that may become confused by HTML formatting, such as screen reader programs. View the latest posts as Plain text.

RSS Newsfeeds

RSS is an XML-based format designed for distributing news articles. You don't usually view them using your browser. Rather, you use special programs that periodically checks on a newsfeed, alerting you when there are new articles. There are three major categories of RSS readers:

  1. Standalone Readers
These programs run in the background, periodically checking on newsfeeds. There are many available. Here's a free one:
  2. Plug-In Readers
These programs integrate with existing programs, such as Microsoft Outlook. These programs can list new news articles right alongside your e-mail and appointments. Here's an example:
  3. PDA Readers
These programs typically have two parts. One program sits on your desktop computer. The other sits on your PDA. Every time you sync your PDA, the desktop program downloads the latest articles and passes them to the PDA program. The PDA program then lets you view the articles on your PDA. Here's an example for Palm PDAs:

Once you have installed an RSS Reader, you simply provide it with this URL:
