COURT
ADMINISTRATOR: LARGE JURISDICTION GENERAL DESCRIPTION . (This is the
highest level court administrator and serves a large
jurisdiction) Summary: Under
administrative direction, manages all activities and facilities
and directly supervises subordinate management staff. Develops
and presents budget requests before legislative bodies and local
governments. Participates in short and long-term planning for
the court. Duties: Plans, organizes and coordinates functions related to
fiscal programs, budget, human resources, information systems
and various court programs. Hires, trains, evaluates, and
disciplines subordinate staff. Prepares and submits courts
operating budget. Analyzes court dockets and operations and

testimony to the state legislature. Oversees facilities
management and planning including allocating space, overseeing
maintenance and modifications, awarding service contracts and
negotiating leases. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or
related field and eight years experience in court management
including three years of supervisory experience. Knowledge of
human resource management, information systems and facilities
management; legislative processes; budgeting rules, regulations,
policies and procedures; auditing and financial management
methods; and customer service practices.
COURT EXECUTIVE 2B: Office of Trial Court Services, Municipal Court Services Division, AOC, Trenton, New Jersey. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an executive with strong leadership, organization, communication and customer service skills to manage the Municipal Court Services Division, Policy and Procedures Unit. Duties: The selected individual will report directly to the Court Executive 3b (Assistant Director – Municipal Court Services Division) and will be responsible for coordinating the development, statewide implementation, and quality control of uniform and efficient operating procedures of the State’s Municipal Court System. The selected individual will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Divisions Infonet Web site, which serves as the primary communication center between the municipal courts, municipal division management and the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). The selected candidate will also assume responsibility for the analysis of pending legislation and preparation of fiscal notes impacting municipal courts throughout the state. CIRCUIT COURT ADMINISTRATOR II: Third Judicial Circuit, Brookings, South Dakota. Summary: This position manages and directs administrative activities for the UJS, including budget and fiscal preparation and personnel, caseflow and jury management to relieve the presiding judge of administrative tasks for a 14-county circuit including six circuit judges, one magistrate judge, fourteen clerk of courts office, and court services staff. Directs and implements a system of caseflow management, schedules space and personnel for court hearing to ensure efficiency of court proceedings. TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Seventh Judicial District of Oregon, Gilliam, Hood River, Moro, Wasco, and Wheeler Counties. Duties: The Trial Court Administrator (TCA) position is statutorily created and responsible for the care, custody and control of court records. The TCA reports to the Presiding Judge and has full authority for all aspects of personnel, budget, financial accounting, management of information services, purchasing, capital asset management, and technical aspects of court operations such as accounting, security, case flow management, safety, facilities management, jury, court records and archives. The TCA is responsible for strategic planning, policy implementation, court operations including analyzing operating processes, administering of a budget in excess of $4.5 million biennially and managing approximately 25 staff located in five different locations covering an area of approximately 100 miles. The TCA supervises all staff, supervisors and lead clerks. The TCA is an integral link between the court and the Office of the State Court Administrator, local Bar, adult and juvenile probation departments, local law enforcement agencies, juvenile and adult services providers, and a variety of civic organizations, the public in general, and the media. The TCA is responsible for implementing and complying with laws and policies, promoting public awareness and education about the court system, ensuring integrity of the criminal, civil, and juvenile justice systems, initiating and evaluating new service delivery techniques, acting as liaison and presenter of information among the court’s four judges, local and statewide officials, service providers and civic leaders. The TCA is also an integral link with local, Judicial Department, legislative and state agencies to develop a clear vision of the Oregon court system and Judicial District 7 courts. The TCA is responsible to create and advocate for enabling legislation, and to work in collaboration and partnership with state and local agencies, the Bar and the public to promote justice services Qualifications: You must submit a Judicial Department application form to apply (This is not the same as a State of Oregon application form.) Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Court Administration, Business or Public Administration, or closely related field, and three years of recent management experience. TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Fourteenth Judicial Circuit, Panama City, Florida. Summary: Duties: The Trial Court Administrator (TCA) is an executive management position responsible for the administration of the trial court operations, programs and services including financial and budget services, strategic and operational planning, information technology, and communications, security, personnel, facilities, capital projects, and public relations/public information. The TCA prepares the circuit court budget for the state and county government appropriations, negotiates contracts with public and private vendors, manages a broad variety of court programs including case management, court reporting, court interpreters, drug court, mediation, plans and coordinates capital projects, and coordinates media access and serves as the public information office for the court. The TCA is also responsible for long range and strategic planning for developing and implementing court technology initiatives, and maximizing judicial resources. CIRCUIT COURT ADMINISTRATOR II: 6th Judicial Circuit, South Dakota Unified Judicial System, Pierre, South Dakota. Duties: We are looking for someone with fiscal and office management skills, significant experience in supervising the administrative functions of a trial court, and the ability to supervise a large court staff. This person will relieve the presiding judge of administrative tasks which include budget and fiscal preparation, personnel, facility, case flow and jury management as well as a liaison with other agencies. This position processes and responds to administrative-related documents and/or correspondence. Also, this position is challenged to maintain an efficient system and minimize personnel problems and problems with the public which can be difficult due to the number and diversity of position supervised, as well as the geographical area of positions supervised. TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: 22nd Judicial Circuit Court of Illinois, County of McHenry, Woodstock, Illinois. Duties: Currently, the administrator is charged with many of the basic duties normally associated with trial court managers, including but not limited to budgeting, facilities planning, special projects, adjudication support (interpreters, clerical staffing for judges), law library oversight, statistical analysis, policy and procedure development, human resources, and interaction with county, state and federal agencies. Expanded responsibilities targeted to be overseen by the court administrator include heightened management of a developing electronic integrated case management system, enhanced caseflow management analysis, development of problem-solving courts, and promoting customer improvements for jury operations, self-represented litigants, and Internet services to the public. Also, the court would like to see a closer, more formal relationship between court administration and court services (probation department), ending in a possible restructuring under the Trial Court Administrator. DISTRICT COURT ADMINISTRATOR: District Court, Spokane County, WA. Duties: Manages the administrative work of the Court to permit the maximum allowance of Judges’ time for judicial work. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: City of Glendale. Duties: Plan, direct and supervise all non-judicial operations, activities and procedures within the Glendale City Court including court services, fines administration, case flow and records management and budget administration functions; coordinate the activities of the Court with the Glendale City Council Office, Glendale City Manager’s Office and other departments; serve as Clerk of the Court. SUPERIOR COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Cobb County, GA. Duties: Oversees and directs Superior Court Administration operations, Juvenile Court and all programs of the Cobb County Superior Court. Summary: Duties: The trial court administrator is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the district and associate district judges of Tulsa and Pawnee Counties. The duties of the court administrator are to assist the presiding judge of the judicial district in the performance of his administrative duties. TRIAL COURT EXECUTIVE: First Judicial District, Logan, Utah. Summary: The Utah Courts are seeking an experienced administrator to serve as Trial Court Executive for the First Judicial District, based in Logan, which includes Box Elder, Cache and Rich counties. Duties: The Court Executive serves as the senior administrator in the district working closely with the Presiding Judge, Clerk of Court and Probation Chief in overseeing daily operations; as well as, interfacing with the statewide District and Juvenile Court Administrators ensuring that the best practices identified throughout the state are implemented within the district. The Court
Administrator is an executive level position appointed by and
serving at the pleasure of the six district court judges. This
position, in conjunction with the Chief Judge, has overall
management authority and responsibility for the non-judicial
components of the Court. Duties:
The Court Administrator provides strategic direction,
program and budget setting, and overall supervision for all
court departments and activities. Representative duties include:
Oversees and manages all court personnel through subordinate

Under the direction of the state court administrator, the
court administrator plans, organizes and directs court
administrative activities for all courts within one of the four

This position serves as a manager to a large staff
engaged in providing service to high volume and complex

juvenile, and court administrative services. As the senior administrative position within the
administrative unit, the position is responsible for providing

of Court is appointed by the Judges of the Southern District of
Florida and serves one of the largest federal trial courts in
the country. This is a high level management position which
functions under the direction of the Chief Judge. Duties:
The Court Administrator – Clerk of Court manages the

ADMINISTRATOR: Bismarck, ND. Summary: Under the
direction of the state court administrator, the court
administrator plans, organizes and directs court administrative
activities for all courts within one of the four state
administrative units. This
position serves as a manager to a large staff engaged in
providing service to high volume and complex caseloads including
comprehensive district-wide programs, juvenile, and court
administrative services. As
the senior administrative position within the administrative
unit, the position is responsible for providing leadership and
guidance in all administrative areas with emphasis on the
development and implementation of efficient and cohesive
administrative processes. Staff
oversight is provided through subordinate supervisors within the
administrative unit. Duties:
include, but are not limited to, the management of juvenile,
fiscal, docket and case flow, jury, records, personnel,
