Read what others think about ICM programs and courses

“My experience with ICM is quality training that is both useful for current court practices and that prepare court leaders for tomorrow. ICM has excellent instructors who balance established court management theory with tangible court management application.”

If you need a third sentence: “ICM Rocks!” And you can quote me on that. (Smile)

As a Court Manager in a small, rural area, I wear many hats and need expertise in virtually all areas of Court Administration. The core courses of the Court Management Program provided me with a sound knowledge base and applicable skills that assist me in dealing with the unique issues facing my court. These courses, along with the concluding seminar, were wonderful opportunities to network with other court professionals and grow both personally and professionally.

As a recent graduate of the CMP, I think this program provides a powerful and unique learning experience for court managers. The curriculum integrates core competencies in combination with practical instruction on functional responsibilities along with current leadership theories and practices – all specific and applicable to court managers. I finished the program with valuable “take aways” that I can use and pass on in my role as a court leader. I encourage court employees at all levels in the organization to participate in this program to develop themselves to be the next generation of strong and effective court leaders. Thank you National Center and ICM for continuing the ongoing revolution in court administration.

Through completion of the Court Executive Development Program, I now approach my work from a new perspective and with renewed confidence. The CEDP program has helped me examine the court system with a more critical eye, assisted in providing new ideas for improving court operations, and aided me in finding the confidence to initiate needed changes.

As we move further into the 21st Century, our court leaders, executives, managers, and supervisors are looking to move their courts forward. Before our ICM partnership, we had no foundation to give this group the needed tools to fine-tune their skills and abilities to assist in making the inevitable changes required. Nevada’s partnership with ICM to provide the core courses required for the court management program certificate has been an ideal avenue to nurture this effort. This contribution has led to the betterment of the separate courts as well as the Nevada judiciary as a whole. This partnership has also provided the opportunity for them to learn from each other and to share ideas. The comradery fostered through this learning atmosphere has had a profound impact on rural and urban representatives alike. We are very pleased with our ICM partnership and the many positive affects throughout the Nevada judiciary.
