Individual courts track mass tort cases through their individual case management systems. Quarterly reports on filings and dispositions are also submitted to the State Court Administrative Office by case type code. There are no individualized case type codes for mass tort cases, such as asbestos, that would allow for tracking by State Court Administrative Office.

Third Circuit Court (Wayne County) handles special litigation cases such as asbestos, gel implants, and other types of cases requiring specialized case management. The court also conducts pretrial activities for mass tort litigation filed in other MIchigan courts.
