The Alaska Court System provides information about mediation in Alaska. This site includes consumer information, a link to state bar resources, and downloadable court publications.

Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Alaska Court System, December 1997. This lengthy report includes summaries of state and federal programs, information on how cases are referred, qualifications of neutrals, funding, and proposals from the Alaska Judicial Council. 

Resolving Disputes Locally: A Statewide Report and Directory, April 1993. A “comprehensive overview of dispute resolution organizations functioning throughout rural Alaska in early 1993,” this report includes a history of tribal dispute resolution, directory, explanation of the interaction between state and tribal courts, and Alaska Judicial Council recommendations. Arkansas Judiciary, Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission: General information about the Arkansas Judiciary Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission and contains links to the Arkansas Judiciary and ADR legislation. Resolution Systems Institute: Excellent site with information about ADR in Illinois and across the country. Includes searchable database of rules, abstracted journal articles, legislation, cases, etc. 

The main site contains ADR rules and a list of registered mediators. The Commission for Continuing Legal Education is an Indiana Supreme Court agency that houses ADR programs as well as all other CLE/training for the state.

Alternative Dispute Resolution: The state of New Hampshire Judicial Branch Web site contains information about mediation and contact information. Among the programs are Probate, Civil, and Marital; each has a program description, court rules and roster online.

The Court Services Division offers “complementary dispute resolution,” or CDR, which is akin to ADR. Site describes programs, contacts, structure, definitions, and bar involvement information.   

Statewide Mediation Program:  Information about mediation from the New Jersey Administrative Office of the Courts.

The New Mexico Court of Appeals Pilot Settlement Conference Procedures site contains FAQs and the order implementing appellate mediation in New Mexico.

Dispute Resolution Commission: Site contains information about the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission and its programs, including the Mediated Settlement Conference Program for superior court civil actions; Family Financial Settlement Program; and Pre-litigation Farm Nuisance Program. Rules, forms, certification, roster of mediators, news, standards of conduct, pilot sites, history, 2005-2006 Fiscal Year Report, and statistics are all available online.

Alternative Dispute Resolution in North Dakota: Web site for the Supreme Court of North Dakota includes link to a statewide ADR neutral roster.

Supreme Court Dispute Resolution Office: This site contains links to the Supreme Court Committee on Dispute Resolution; information about meetings, training, and special events; rules and legislation; an agreement to mediate; contacts; models of funding for Ohio DR programs; reports; and project descriptions. Very comprehensive site, useful for researchers, courts, and the general public. 

The Ohio Commission on Dispute Resolution’s site:  This office and site is more expansive than that of the Ohio Supreme Court committee. One section, “Court & Community,” is devoted to court-connected ADR. This section includes information about truancy and other community-related programs, plus an introduction to mediation in Ohio, the Ohio Supreme Court case on confidentiality, and other links. 

The Hamilton County Municipal Court Mediation Service: Here one will find information about criminal, small claims, training, and general information about mediation. 

Alternative Dispute Resolution System of Oklahoma: One can access copies of the ADR office’s comprehensive annual reports, which include programs, statistics, training information, contacts, and a link to enabling legislation.

Rhode Island Judiciary Mediation Program: Link to the Rhode Island Judiciary Web site containing information about the Family Court Mediation Program.

The South Carolina Bar has added a Public Services Counsel to its staff to assist the Supreme Court’s Commission on Alternative Dispute Resolution (Commission) and Board of Arbitrator and Mediator Certification (Board) with the administration of court-annexed ADR programs in the current pilot counties, and ultimately in all counties, in South Carolina. Their Web site includes forms, training requirements, rules, FAQs, and links.

The Tennessee Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission’s brochure, newsletter, training schedule (including online seminars), and general commission information. 

The Administrative Office of the Courts has a Web page with information about Rule 31 mediators, including qualifications, approved trainers, CLE schedule, application and renewal forms, newsletter, court rules, ethics opinions, and a roster searchable by county and case type.
