In many cases, it is difficult for courts to self-evaluate
the techniques that they use to accommodate jurors during the time of
service. Consequently, some
courts have begun using juror exit questionnaires as a means of
collecting first hand information and evaluations on the jury systems
that they have in place. These
questionnaires enable jurors to voice their opinions on their service,
and give the court valuable feedback on things that they are doing well,
in addition to suggesting areas that may need improvement.
This module seeks to explore the use of juror exit questionnaires and
some questions surrounding them, in addition to looking at their
advantages and disadvantages.
