ASSISTANT CIRCUIT EXECUTIVE FOR ADMINISTRATION AND INTERNAL OFFICE MANAGEMENT: United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. Atlanta, GA. Summary: An upper-level managmenet position reporting directly to the Deputy Circuit Executive, exercising broad supervisory and administrative responsibility. Duties: Assisting the Circuit Executive in the exercise of duties outlined in Title 28, United States Code, Section 332m and those assigned by the Judicial Council and the Court of Appeals; establishing and enforcing operating procedures and standards; directly supervising a staff of five; and managing the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the Office of the Circuit Executive, including budgeting, procurement, property accountability, personnel management, special events and projects, conferences, and support of judicial officers. The position requires extensive analytical and writing responsibilities. Duties: Administer nonjudicial activities of the Court of Appeals and internal operations of the Office of the Circuit Executive. Lead, manage, and train assigned staff members. Coordinate staff efforts, comply with project deadlines, and evaluate and memorialize lessons learned during projects and operations. Maintain the Court Master Personal Property Record. Plan and coordinate operations and logistics for the biennial circuit judicial conference and special events such as investitures, dedications, and ceremonies. Negotiate contracts, and serve as liaison with hotel, speakers, staff, security, and members of the local bar and host committee for such activities. Qualifications: A minimum of six years of progressively responsible administrative, professional, or legal experience, including at least three years of substantial management responsibility is required. An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is required. A graduate degree in business, public, or judicial administration, or a law degree is preferred. Demonstrated, excellent written and oral communications abilities and strong interpersonal and analytical skills are essential. Experience working in a legal or court environment, particularly federal court, is desirable. COURT DISTRICT SUPERVISOR: Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino. San Bernardino, CA. Duties: Assigns, supervises, and coordinates the work of a court district or large division including civil, small claims, family law, traffic, juvenile and criminal; supervises the preparation of the court calendar; ensures the effectiveness of workflow. Trains, evaluates, and assists in the selection and discipline of employees; approves leave time and pay cards; coaches and mentors subordinate staff; determines and implements employee training schedules; discusses staff work performance with unit supervisors to ensure accurate assessment of employees. DIRECTOR OF STATE BOARD OF LAW EXAMINERS: Annapolis, MD. Summary: Advises the State Board of Law Examiners and the Court of Appeals of Maryland regarding all aspects of the Maryland bar admissions process. Duties: Assists the Board in evaluating the educational credentials, character and fitness qualifications, and legal competence of bar applicants. Provides administrative support to the Board in developing and grading bar examinations, conducting meetings and hearings, and developing policies and procedures. COURT EXECUTIVE 3B: Office of Trial Court Services, Municipal Court Services Division, AOC. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a dynamic leader with strong organizational, communication and customer service skills to direct the programs and staff of the Administrative Office of the Courts’ Municipal Court Services Division. This division provides strategic planning and management oversight of the state’s 526 Municipal Courts, which together process more than six million cases annually. Most citizens first come into contact with the judicial system and form their conclusions about the quality of justice in New Jersey through its Municipal Courts. The Municipal Court Services Division provides technical assistance and procedural guidance to the 15 Vicinage Municipal Divisions and develops and implements policies, procedures, management systems, operational standards and performance measures. Duties: The Court Executive oversees the administration of Municipal Court judge and employee training, customer service enhancements, legal research and the Automated Traffic and Automated Complaint Systems (ATS/ACS). These automated systems provide centralized integrated case management and court financial recordkeeping for the Municipal Courts and include an on-line traffic and parking ticket processing system, a hand-held parking ticket-issuing system, and a statewide electronic traffic and criminal warrant system. The division also provides staff support to various Supreme Court, presiding judge, management and ad hoc committees. DEPUTY DIRECTOR: Family Court Social Services, District of Columbia Courts. Summary: Incumbent assists the Director in carrying out the day-to-day responsibilities of the Division, as well as the operation of several branches within the Division and shares with the Director the confidentiality of all office matters. Supervises designated Program Managers and interacts with the judiciary, other court system staff and juvenile justice stakeholders essential to maintaining cooperative relationships supporting public safety. Duties: Provides leadership and guidance in critical areas including senior management of contract monitoring and purchase of services, information and technology enhancements, monthly progress and statistical reports generated through use of IJIS, Excel and/or Access, monthly/quarterly fiscal reports, development of the annual budget, participation in capitol development projects, oversight of physical plant, and analysis of emerging legislative measures impacting juvenile probation. BRANCH SUPERVISOR COURTROOM SUPPORT BRANCH: Criminal Division, D.C. Courts. Summary: Incumbent manages the operations and supervises staff of Courtroom Support Branch, by assigning, directing and reviewing work, evaluating and assessing staff skills, planning and providing training, and recommending selection, promotion and disciplinary actions. Duties: Submits recommendations and procedures to improve the Branch’s overall operation. Instructs staff members on new policies and procedures. DEPUTY IN CHARGE: Pocatello, ID. United States District and Bankruptcy Court for the District of Idaho. Summary: This position will be located in the United States Courthouse in Pocatello, Idaho. The District of Idaho currently supports two District Judges, two Bankruptcy Judges, four Magistrate Judges and three 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Judges. Incumbent will act as resident authority for the office in a variety of areas, including any of the following: courtroom services, calendaring, facilities coordination, jury administration, automation maintenance, finance, procurement, and construction project management. Incumbent will work closely with the court executive, chief deputy, deputies-in-charge and department managers, but must be comfortable carrying out responsibilities and making decisions with minimal supervision. The incumbent will supervise divisional office personnel. Duties: Manages and oversees the operation of a divisional office which currently includes seven deputy clerks. Provides leadership and direction essential to the effective management of staff in the administration of operations for the office. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B: Information Technology Division, Monmouth Vicinage. Freehold, NJ. Summary: The Monmouth Vicinage Judiciary is seeking an individual with strong leadership and managerial skills to develop a partnership with members of the Monmouth Vicinage and supervise/lead professional staff in our local and wide area network environments with the opportunity to use state of the art technology including Windows 2003 service and XP clients, Active Directory and Cisco switches and routers. This position will be responsible for a team of technology staff providing first level support for server-less remote office local area networks, including wide area network connectivity. The Guardian Ad Litem Program Coordinator is responsible for
statewide leadership, program development and support, resource
development, education and some training for local guardian ad
litem (GAL) programs, consistent with the program standards in
Idaho Juvenile Rule 35. Duties: Program and Resource

court appointed volunteer advocacy of abused and neglected
children. Work in partnership with local GAL programs to

SERVICES PROGRAM MANAGER:
Travis
County, Austin, TX. Duties: Manages and
assigns the work of the Juvenile Probation Department Legal
Services Unit. Plans and develops policies, procedures and
programs. Prepares reports and monitors department workload to
ensure policies, procedures, laws and regulations are followed
and goals are met. Conducts work flow analysis and establishes
department systems to ensure the efficiency and quality of

MENTAL
HEALTH THERAPEUTIC COURT TEAM MANAGER: Spokane County Human
Resources Department. Duties: Manage the fiscal, budget,
personnel and other administrative functions of the program.
Research available funding opportunities and develop or oversee
the development of grant and other funding requests. Oversee
operations of the teams in accordance with established policies
and procedures for providing integrated treatment and criminal
justice case management to mentally ill defendants. Develop and
maintain written policies to guide the operations of the court(s)
support team. Develop Memoranda of Agreement among various
partners in the court(s) treatment community. Develop, maintain
and distribute a current Participant Handbook of policies,
procedures and requirements of the court(s)/program. Provide
guidance to involved Agencies and to other stakeholders and the
public as to eligibility criteria for participation. Oversee the
completion of the application process for prospective
participants including gathering of application materials and
communicating with attorneys, assessment professionals and
probation officers. Oversee necessary participant identification
and other data to support determination of eligibility for
participation and assure that information is accurately
communicated to and considered by the team. Oversee the
collection and recording of participant historical data. Compile
reports on participant compliance with conditions of program
participation and assure that it is accurately communicated to
and considered by the process team staff. Attend court staff
meetings and court hearings as required. Oversee the maintenance
of accurate files of participants in mental health court and
their compliance with court requirements. Oversee the
maintenance of accurate files of court actions related to each
participant and progression through the designated phases.
Oversee efforts to identify community resources and organize
efforts to provide a full continuum of needed treatment
services. Compile and/or submit monthly reports. Schedule and
provide support to regular court team meetings. Provide public
information on operations and outcomes of the court(s).
Participate on community and/or statewide committees or
workgroups related to the planning, development, management,
funding and evaluation of therapeutic court(s) as directed.
Participate in specialized training or educational sessions. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology
or a related human services field and five years of experience
in social service case management including at lest three years
at the administrative/supervisory level. Master’s degree is
preferred. Experience in the coordination or supervision of a
program having significant interdisciplinary or interagency

the presiding judge. Duties: Directs a calendar services staff consisting of a
supervisor and administrative support employees responsible for
preparing calendars for judicial divisions and overseeing court
case management activities. Develops division policies and
procedures to achieve compliance with court case management
goals. Monitors caseload and event statistics, recommends
appropriate changes to the deputy and court administrator and to
the proper bench presiding judge. Coordinates the development
and implementation of court case management software and process

the court and external agencies, government agencies, lawyers,
and judicial divisions regarding court case management issues.
Participates in planning sessions with the court administrator,
deputy court administrator, judges, division directors, and unit
supervisors to develop and implement new court case management
procedures. Identifies and evaluates significant trends and
develops procedural changes and/or recommendations to court
administration and the appropriate bench. Manages
the division by effectively allocating to staff workload
assignments. Participates in the recruitment, selection,
training, performance evaluation, and counseling of staff.
Coordinates the development and implementation of training
programs for staff and other court employees responsible for
court case management activities. Communicates regularly with
staff concerning court case management and procedural changes,
and other issues that may affect the division’s performance. Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
with a major in public or business administration, criminal
justice or a related field, AND
five years of professional experience in court case management
or in a legal setting, INCLUDING
two years supervisory and/or management experience. Preference will be given to applicants that have relevant court case
management experience in a trial court setting of general
jurisdiction. In addition, preference may be given to candidates
who have completed an Institute for Court Management
