Project/Program Coordinator

GUARDIAN AD LITEM PROGRAM COORDINATOR: Idaho Judicial Branch. Summary: The Guardian Ad Litem Program Coordinator is responsible for statewide leadership, program development and support, resource development, education and some training for local guardian ad litem (GAL) programs, consistent with the program standards in Idaho Juvenile Rule 35. Duties: Program and Resource Development: Support court appointed volunteer advocacy of abused and neglected children. Work in partnership with local GAL programs to develop and implement statewide strategies to: increase the number of GAL volunteers; increase number of abused and neglected children served by local GAL programs; increase public awareness of GAL/CASA programs; and, promote cultural competency. Develop statewide program procedures and policies and provide program direction. Write or assist with writing of grants to support work of local GAL programs. Conduct annual site visit to each GAL program to maintain program accountability and compliance with IJR 35 and National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association (NCASAA) standards. Coordinate at least two meetings per year for district program executive directors and appropriate others. Encourage and create opportunities for communication among GAL programs, Idaho Supreme Court Child Protection Committee and CASA Advisory Council. Supervise criminal records checks of program volunteers, staff and members of board of directors, pursuant to IJR 35 and ICAR 47. LANDLORD & TENANT SECTION SUPERVISOR: District of Columbia Courts, Civil Division. Summary: Incumbent is responsible for management and day-to-day supervision of the Clerical Section of the Landlord and Tenant Branch. Duties: Plans and assigns work schedules to ensure an even flow and distribution of work. Trains section employees on section, branch and division policies, procedures and guidelines. GUARDIAN AD LITEM MANAGER: Minnesota District Court, First Judicial District, Hastings, MN. Summary: The First Judicial District seeks a Program Manager to manage and supervise the First Judicial District Guardian ad Litem program. The First Judicial District includes the seven southern metro counties of Carver, Dakota, Goodhue, Le Sueur, McLeod, Scott, and Sibley. COURT SERVICES OFFICER 1/TRAINEE: Middlesex Vicinage, New Brunswick, New Jersey Duties: The individual will be responsible for the management of cases from docketing through disposition; analyzing, monitoring, and processing cases in accordance with court rules and established practices; working with the Judges and team leaders to set priorities; assist in creating and maintaining credible trail calendars; organizing workload to ensure efficiency; screening cases for possible referral to a complementary dispute resolution program; reviewing cases to determine discovery and/or case management needs; monitoring cases to ensure compliance with discovery deadlines and case management orders; responding to inquiries from judges, attorneys and other interested parties regarding procedures and/or the status of cases; and other related duties as required.  Qualifications: Court Services Officer 1: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree.  One year of experience in case management involving gathering and analyzing case-related information which shall have included the exercise of judgment and discretion, reviewing cases to identify case management and involving gathering and analyzing case-related information which shall have included the exercise of judgment and discretion, reviewing cases to identify case management and discovery needs, coordinating with judges and attorneys to resolve case issues, and or/preparing reports of findings and recommendations.  Applicant who do not possess the required education may substitute experience as indicated above on a year-for-year basis.  Court Services Officer Trainee: Current New Jersey Judiciary employees who do not possess the required education may substitute experience in case management involving gathering and analyzing case-related information which shall have included the exercise of judgment and discretion, reviewing cases to identify case management and discovery needs, coordinating with judges and attorneys to resolve case issues, and or/preparing reports of findings and recommendations.  This experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.  Salary: Court Services Officer 1: $36,025.61 - $59,021.95, Court Services Officer Trainee: $33,604.94 - $52,970.30 (2007)

COURT SERVICES SUPERVISOR 2 (Team leader/Supervising PO): Superior Court of New Jersey Union Vicinage/Various Divisions, Elizabeth, New Jersey Duties: Under the general direction of the Presiding Judge and/or Court Executive 2B (Division Manager) or other high level supervisor, is responsible to instruct, lead, evaluate and monitor work activities of a team composed of professional and support staff.  Responsible for providing Human Resources functions within the team including team meetings, performance appraisals, training, discipline, grievance resolution and staff planning. Responsible for caseload regulations inclusive of backlog, aging, clearance, time to termination, best practices compliance. Responsible for team-based client services, calendar development and Court/Judicial coordination. Implement Court programs; establishment; listing and disposition processes; Court procedures; reports and systems monitoring. Does related work as required. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Three years of increasingly responsible professional experience, one year of which shall have included experience in case management; supervision; calendar management; or program administration including development, analysis, implementation, administration or research. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B (Family Division Manager): Superior Court of New Jersey, Ocean Vicinage, Toms River, New Jersey  Duties: Under the general direction of the Assignment Judge and Court Executive 3b (Trial Court Administrator), plans, directs and administers the work of the Family Division.  The Court Executive oversees Vicinage XV court operations; formulates and directs the implementation of Judiciary Plans, programs, policies and procedures; and manages Judiciary resources. Prepares and analyzes case processing statistical reports and case flow; prepares and administers the budget; prepares supervisory staff performance evaluations; recommends disciplinary and/or employee recognition actions; and determines goals and objectives. Other tasks include assessing training needs and requirements to enhance skills and abilities of assigned staff; assigning of personnel; and interviewing job or team applicants. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B (General Operations Manager): Superior Court of New Jersey, Union Vicinage, Operations Division. Duties: Under the supervision of the Court Executive 3B (Trial Court Administrator) is responsible for the management and coordination of inter-divisional functions such as jury management, court facilities and courtroom services, law library, including management of staff.  Works with the Trial Court Administrator to coordinate general operations and implement programs in order to meet the operational requirements of the vicinage.  Is responsible for management of vicinage wide general administrative functions, including court interpreting, court reporting, transcripts, sound and video recording, maintenance of operations, vehicle fleet coordination, and telecommunications systems.  Oversees the maintenance, retention, storage and integrity of all court records.  Responsible for emergency management, workplace violence programs and ensuring that barriers to public access (including access for disabled persons) are identified through planning and management.  Performs related duties as required.
