COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Greene County Circuit Court, 31st District, Springfield, Missouri. Summary: The Greene County Circuit Court, 31st District is seeking a Court Administrator. The work of this newly created position is performed under the general direction of the Presiding Judge and the Court en banc. Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Court, Public, or Business Administration or its equivalent. Juris Doctorate degree or experience working in or for a court system preferred. Ten years of responsibility in management/administrative experience, including five years of government-related management. Management experience gained from work in a large organization. DEPUTY COURT ADMINISTRATOR III, BUSINESS SERVICES AND FACILITIES: Superior Court of the State of California , Hanford , CA. Duties: The Superior Court, County of Kings , has an immediate opening for a Full-time Business Services and Facilities – Deputy Court Administrator III; this is established as an Exempt position located at the Hanford site. Under limited direction, this management level position is responsible for the daily operations of the Court’s business services, and facilities programs, functions and operational needs of the court. The incumbent plans, organizes and manages the purchasing, facilities and store operations; court security; develops and implements policies and procedures. This supervisory position also plans, organizes, trains, and supervises the work activities of custodial personnel. Qualifications: An educational level equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in court administration, business or public administration, political science, economics or a closely related field. COURT DISTRICT MANAGER: Superior Court of California, County of San Bernardino. Summary: The Court District Manager functions as a member of first level management. Court District Managers, under general direction, plan, organize, direct and coordinate the non-judicial activities and operations of a large court district or two or more smaller districts. Incumbents may be assigned to any Court District within the County. Duties: Typical duties include, but are not limited to: Plan, organize, direct and coordinate the work of court district(s) that includes filing and processing of legal documents, courtroom operations support, and preparation of court calendars; monitor the effectiveness of division operations; implement teamwork strategies to achieve organizational objectives. Act as liaison between the assigned court/division and other divisions within Superior Court, and with other courts, county, state and community agencies, as necessary confer with judges on administrative and procedural matters; support Superior Court goals, policies and procedures. Select, train, evaluate and supervise staff, directly and through subordinate supervisors; encourage staff to increase skills and understanding of court operations. Prepare and monitor division budget; authorize and monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with fiscal policies. Answer complex inquiries and complaints within area of expertise from public, judges, attorneys and others. Prepare, monitor and analyze management statistical information and reports, conducts research, manage, coordinate or perform work in support of special projects. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: City of Dublin, OH. Duties: Responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing administrative practices, policies, and procedures for the Court and its assigned personnel; overseeing the probation, diversion and community service programs and records management function; facilitating the scheduling and administration of the Court docket; serving as liaison between the Division of Police, Department of Law, Mayor, Vice Mayor, and/or Magistrate and Court staff; arranging and directing appropriate security measures for the Court; and serving as a member of the City’s Records Commission. TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR 2: Polk County Circuit Court, Oregon Judicial Department (OJD). Summary: As the Trial Court Administrator (TCA) for the Polk County Circuit Court, the incumbent will provide administration of all non-judicial court services mandated by statute and OJD’s Policy for the Circuit Court in Polk County. The TCA position is statutorily created and responsible for the care, custody, and control of court records. The TCA reports to the Presiding Judge and has full authority for all aspects of personnel, budget, financial accounting, management of information services, purchasing, capital asset management, and technical aspects of court operations such as accounting, security, case flow management, safety, facilities management, jury, court records, pretrial release, and archives. The TCA is responsible for strategic planning, policy implementation, and court operations including analyzing operating processes, administering a budget of approximately $3.5 million biennially and managing a staff of 22. Duties: The TCA supervises all court operations staff for the Polk County Circuit Court, including judicial support staff, 1 supervisor, and lead clerks. The TCA is an integral link between the court and the Office of the State Court Administrator, local Bar, adult and juvenile probation departments, local law enforcement agencies, juvenile and adult services providers, and a variety of civic organizations, the public in general, and the media. The TCA is responsible for implementing and complying with laws and policies, promoting public awareness and education about the court system, ensuring integrity of the criminal, civil, and juvenile justice systems, initiating and evaluating new service delivery techniques, acting as liaison and presenter of information among the court’s three judges, local and statewide officials, service providers and civic leaders. The TCA is also an integral link with local, Judicial Department, legislative and state agencies to develop a clear vision of the Oregon court system and the Polk County Circuit Court. The TCA is responsible to create and advocate for enabling legislation, and to work in collaboration and partnership with state and local agencies, the Bar and the public to promote justice services. In addition to these duties, the position is also responsible for performing the more complex work of the court as well as all administrative duties. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in court administration, business or public administration or closely related discipline and two years of recent management experience preferably gained in managing/performing court operations. A Juris doctorate or Master’s degree in Court, Public or Business Administration may substitute for one year of the Required experience. Applicants without the relevant educational background may substitute recent professional-level court administration or management experience on a year-for-year basis. Preference may be given to applicants with recent professional-level court administration, extensive supervisory, or managerial experience; and who possess a working knowledge of (“hands-on” experience with) multiple areas of court operations within the Oregon Judicial Department or another similar state court system. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Unified Judicial System, Grand Forks, ND. Summary: Under the direction of the state court administrator, the court administrator plans, organizes and directs court administrative activities for all courts within one of the four state administrative unites. This positions serves as manager to a large staff engaged in providing service to high-volume and complex caseloads including comprehensive district-wide programs, juvenile, and court administrative services. As the senior administrative position within the administrative unit, the position is responsible for providing leadership and guidance in all administrative areas with emphasis on the development and implementation of efficient and cohesive administrative processes. Staff oversight is provided through subordinate supervisors within the administrative unit. Duties: Include, but are not limited to: The management of juvenile, fiscal, docket and case flow, jury, records, personnel, facilities, data processing and various district or state-wide functions. Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree in judicial administration, public administration or a related field and four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a court or legal setting. TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: North Carolina Superior Court, District 4A & 4B (Onslow, Duplin, Jones, and Sampson Counties). Summary: The NC Judicial Branch seeks a qualified individual to work as a Trial Court Administrator. Duties: Duties include the administration of case management and calendaring systems for civil cases in both Superior and District Court; administration of the jury management system; preparation of various statistical reports; and supervision of staff personnel. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Judicial Administration, Public Administration, Business Management, or related field and at least three years of progressively responsible experience in public service, business, or the courts with at least one of the three years experience in managing people and/or programs; or Master’s degree in related field (or law degree) with at least one year experience managing people and/or programs. Duties: Provides administrative support to judges, manages support operations including 30+ professional and technical staff, special services, budget, facilities, probation services, and court security. Serves as liaison with government agencies, the bar, news media and the community. Qualifications: The successful candidate will posses a B.S. Degree & 6 years of related management experience or graduate degree in judicial or public administration, law or related field plus 4 years experience, or an equivalent combination of education & experience. Knowledge of court procedures, case management, HR management practices, accounting/budgeting procedures, information technology, contract negotiation/administration and legislative processes is necessary, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills. COURT SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR: Superior Court, Athens-Clarke County, Georgia. Summary: The purpose of this job is to provide a broad range of management and administrative services to the Superior, Juvenile, State, Magistrate, Probate, and Municipal Courts. Duties: Supervising assigned staff, designing, developing, monitoring case management systems and implementing Court Programs. Additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public Admini8stration, Court Administration, or five years administrative or supervisory experience in public sector management, court administration, or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. A Masters degree in Public Administration is preferred or can be substituted with a successfully completed course of study provided by the Institute for Court Management, National Association for Court Management, National Center for State Courts or other accredited programs. Supervisory experience required. Must have a valid State of Georgia driver’s license. CRIMINAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Tarrant County District Courts, TX. Duties: Implements Differentiated Felony Case Management (DFCM). Manages office of attorney appointments, grand jury bailiffs, auxiliary district court coordinators, DIRECT program staff and mental health diversion program staff. Supervises attorney for indigent clients appointment projects (SB7). Attends, represents or acts as liaison for criminal judges at meetings of Commissioners Court, IT steering committee, telephone sub-committee, Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee, Bail Bond Board, and Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Acts as liaison with County departments – CSCD, IT, Juvenile Probation, District Clerk, County Clerk, Sheriff’s Facilities, and Pretrial Release. COURT EXECUTIVE OFFICER: Superior Court of California, Mendocino County. Summary: The Court is seeking a highly qualified individual to direct administration of non-judicial activities. Duties: Under authority of Mendocino Court judges, and supervision of the Presiding Judge, the person appointed to this position will be responsible for administration of non-judicial staff and will serve judges in execution of Court business. The Court Executive Officer (CEO) will also function as Clerk of the Court. Qualifications: Any combination of education/experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities including the knowledge of administrative principles and practices and a full understanding of the functions, organization and processes of a court and the judicial system is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: an educational level equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in court administration, public administration, public or business administration, criminal justice or closely related field and: Five years of progressively responsible court administration experience which includes considerable supervisory experience (at least four years) and which demonstrates possession of and competency in requisite knowledge and abilities. Included in this is an in depth knowledge of fiscal and budgeting knowledge and experience. A minimum of one year courtroom experience is desirable. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years. The CEO should bring management knowledge and experience to court operations. The CEO is expected to provide innovative and creative leadership to ensure court operations are conducted in an effective, efficient, and economical manner, complying with California law and policies. The CEO position requires strong leadership, management, organization and communication skills. Applicants should have knowledge in the following areas: California trial court operations; applicable statutory authorities; budgeting, facilities; security; technology management; and administrative areas such as fiscal and human resource management. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: New Mexico Judicial Branch, Third Judicial District Court. Summary: The Third Judicial District Court is accepting applications for the position of Court Administrator 3. Duties: This is an unclassified full-time position which works under administrative direction from the Chief Judge, manages all administrative activities and facilities of a district court, including the management of court programs and the clerk’s office, human resource management, fiscal administration, budgeting, and speaking before legislative and local government bodies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration or related field, with seven years of advanced managerial experience that includes budgeting, finance, procurement, human resources and contracts administration, including three years of supervisory experience. Experience may be substituted for education. (One year of experience equals 30 semester hours). Education may not substitute for supervisory experience. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: (General Description) (This position serves in a small to mid-sized jurisdiction.) Summary: Under administrative direction, manages all activities and facilities of a court and directly supervises subordinate staff. Develops and presents budget requests before legislative and local governments. Participates in short and long-term planning for the court. Duties: Plans, organizes and coordinates the work and hires, trains, evaluates and disciplines staff. Prepares and submits courts operating budget. Analyzes court dockets and operations and develops and implements processes to improve case management and court services. Develops local rules, policies and procedures. Serves as a liaison to the state legislature, county and city governments, law enforcement agencies and the media. Provides testimony to the state legislature. Oversees facilities management and planning including allocating space, overseeing maintenance and modifications, awarding service contracts and negotiating leases. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or related field and three years experience in court management including two years of supervisory experience. Knowledge of human resource management, information systems and facilities management; legislative processes; budgeting rules, regulations, policies and procedures; auditing and financial management methods; and customer service practices.

COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Tenth Judicial District, Elk River, Minnesota. Summary: The position serves as the administrative head of the court system in the county and has primary responsibility for ensuring that all elements of the system function effectively and efficiently. Work is performed independently and requires legal and technical knowledge as well as advanced administrative skills. Qualifications: Five to eight years of progressively responsible management/administrative level experience with at leaves three years in supervisory capacity in court administration, public administration, or a related field. A degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred, with course work in Business/Public/Judicial Administration, or related field. DISTRICT COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Position in Ingham County District Court, Mason, Michigan. Duties: Under general direction of the Chief Judge, has responsibility for research, development and implementation of all non-judicial court policy. Produces reports, statistical analysis, long and short range plans  as well as budget preparation and monitoring. Supervise District Court staff including the Probation Department. Will be responsible as the liaison to and for the court in making contacts and presentations to county offices, legislative bodies, court agencies, criminal justice agencies, media, bar association groups and the general public. Will be responsible for employee and labor relations functions involving recruitment, hiring, training, staff assignments, discipline, and grievance procedures. May be asked to take part in collective bargaining negotiations within the court. Will develop and oversee the “on-line computerization” of District Court operation. Manages actions related to court appointed attorneys, jurors and records management. DISTRICT COURT ADMINISTRATOR: 20th Judicial District, Pennsylvania. Duties: The senior management position is responsible for the management of administrative functions of the 20th Judicial District including fiscal management, personnel management, case flow management, jury utilization and management, research and planning and public relations. Selected candidate will exhibit flexibility, creative leadership, and an ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously. Work is performed with a high degree of independence while exercising sound judgment under the general direction of the Presiding Judge. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Judicial, Business, or Public Administration; and two years experience in court management or three years carried office management work including experience in budgeting, procurement, and personnel management. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: St. Clair County Court in Port Huron, Minnesota. Duties: Under the direction of the Chief Judge, manages all administrative functions of the Court. Directs staff responsible for the processing of traffic, civil and criminal cases, assist coordination of court security and fulfilling other non-judicial functions. Responsible for personnel management, fiscal management, case flow management, jury utilization, research and planning, facilities management, and other important administrative functions. The Court Administrator is also responsible for the supervision and implementation of court appointed attorney process in providing services to indigent defendants charge with misdemeanor offenses as directed by the Chief judge. Qualifications: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in a related field or a Juris Doctor in addition to three years of experience in responsible management position, including training in administration; also acceptable is four years of progressively responsible experience in Court Administration, preferably District Court Administration.(2004)
