COURT EXECUTIVE 2B: Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division, Camden Vicinage. Summary: Under the supervision of the Court executive 3b (Trial Court Administrator) oversees all civil court operations. Incumbent will formulate and direct the implementation of Judiciary plans, programs, policies and procedures and manage Judiciary resources. ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST 4: Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen Vicinage. Summary: The Bergen County Municipal Division is seeking an organized, highly motivated and energetic Administrative Specialist 4 with solid administrative skills, who can complete assigned work in a timely manner consistent with established standards. Under the general direction of the Municipal Division Manager, the selected individual will work with 72 Municipal Courts and their staff, mentor and coach other administrative employees, as well as establish and administer procedures to ensure efficient operation of the municipal courts and quality standards. Duties: The selected individual will also conduct training sessions and facilitate discussion among federal, state, vicinage, county or local officials, and keep up-to-date with current trends, laws and rules. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B (OPERATION DIVISION MANAGER): Superior Court of New Jersey, Cumberland County, Bridgeton, NJ. Summary: Under the general direction of the Assignment Judge and Court Executive 3b (Trial Court Administrator), plans, directs and administer the work of the Operations Division which includes oversight of ombudsman; records management; tapes and transcripts; interpreting services; jury management; volunteer programs; law library; complimentary dispute resolution; security and facilities issues. Duties: Formulates and directs the implementation of Judiciary plans, programs, policies and procedures; and manages Judiciary resources. COURT ADMINISTRATOR III: Minnesota District Court, Carver County, MN. Summary: The First Judicial District is accepting applications for the Court Administrator III position in Carver County District Court.  District Court facilities are located within the Carver County Justice Center. Carver County is a fast growing southwestern metro county with three resident judges. This position is responsible for the overall management and supervision of all aspects of court operations. Duties: Overall management and supervision of various case processing activities of the court. Strategic planning and implementation.  Interprets and executes statutory mandates, rules of court and judicial polices and procedures. Develops, administers and manages local budget. Manages financial aspects of local court operations including collections, fines and fees, bonds and escrow. MUNICIPAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: City of Billings, MT. Summary: Ability to analyze problems, formulate recommendations, empower people and foster change.  Must have enhanced organizational skills and the ability to plan, direct and supervise non-judicial functions within the Court. Duties: Responsibilities include case flow management, records management, jury management, budget management and accounting functions, statistical analysis and projections, public relations, and personnel management. Requires problem solving skills as well as considerable initiative and independent judgment within the framework of Court policy guidelines. DEPUTY COURT ADMINISTRATOR II: Eleventh Judicial District Court, Aztec, Farmington, Gallup, NM. Summary: The Eleventh Judicial District Court is seeking a Deputy Court Administrator 2. Duties: The successful candidate will assist the Court Administrator in developing, planning, directing, and organizing all of the administrative services of the court; budget preparation; program and caseload statistics; management reports; human resources; information technology; facilities and security. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, judicial administration or a related field and five years of court experience including three years of supervisory experience. Experience may substitute for education at the rate of 30 semester hours equals one year of experience. ASSISTANT COURT EXECUTIVE OFFICER: Superior Court of California, Napa County. Summary: Assist in the management of administrative, fiscal and operation functions of the Napa Court. Duties: Assist the Court Executive Officer (CEO) in the planning and directing of non-judicial activities and serve as Chief Financial Officer. Make recommendations regarding the organization, financial management and procedures; assist in the management of workload and staff; and act for the CEO in that person’s absence. Duties also include overseeing the management of court staff in Administration and Operations; direct court strategic initiatives; direct the implementation of programs in the areas of Administration (HR, IT, and Fiscal) and Operations (Civil, Court Services, Criminal, Traffic and Minor Offense, Courtroom Clerks, Court Reporters, and Family Court Services). Also, an education equivalent to graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major in court administration, public or business administration or a closely related field; advanced degree preferred. ASSISTANT CLERK/ADMINISTRATOR: (General Description) Summary: Under direction, assists the administrator in directing, organizing, planning, and controlling the supportive functions of the court system; does related work as required. Qualifications: Graduation from a four (4) year course at an accredited college or university. One (1) year of responsible supervisory and/or administrative experience in varied phases of business, industrial, governmental, or military service which shall have involved the organization, direction, planning, coordination, or control of significant programs or activities. COURT EXECUTIVE 1B (OMBUDSMAN): Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris/Sussex Vicinage, Morristown, New Jersey. Summary: The Morris/Sussex vicinage is seeking a pro-active leader with a keen organizational awareness, exceptional interpersonal and conflict management skills and an ability to think creatively under stressful circumstances to serve as Court Executive 1b (Ombudsman). COURT EXECUTIVE 2B (General Operations Manager): Superior Court of New Jersey, Union Vicinage, Operations Division. Duties: Under the supervision of the Court Executive 3B (Trial Court Administrator) is responsible for the management and coordination of inter-divisional functions such as jury management, court facilities and courtroom services, law library, including management of staff. Works with the Trial Court Administrator to coordinate general operations and implement programs in order to meet the operational requirements of the vicinage. Is responsible for management of vicinage wide general administrative functions, including court interpreting, court reporting, transcripts, sound and video recording, maintenance of operations, vehicle fleet coordination, and telecommunications systems. Oversees the maintenance, retention, storage and integrity of all court records. Responsible for emergency management, workplace violence programs and ensuring that barriers to public access (including access for disabled persons) are identified through planning and management. Performs related duties as required. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B (MUNICIPAL DIVISION MANAGER): Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris/Sussex Vicinage, Municipal Division. Summary: The Morris/Sussex Vicinage is seeking a creative thinking individual with a keen organizational awareness who possesses strong leadership, sound decision-making and conflict management skills to serve as Court Executive 2b (Municipal Division Manager). The selected candidate must also be committed to providing quality service and exhibit solid communication and writing skills. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 3b (Trial Court Administrator), this position serves with the Presiding Judge of the Municipal Courts as the executive component of the Municipal Division of the Superior Court. The Municipal Division Manager ensures that the Vicinage’s 56 Municipal Courts operate in compliance with the New Jersey Court Rules and with directives and policies established by the Administrative Office of the Courts and the Vicinage Assignment Judge. DEPUTY CIRCUIT COURT ADMINISTRATOR -  JUVENILE DIVISION: Lansing, MI. Summary: Under general direction of the Circuit Court Administrator the Deputy Court Administrator, Juvenile Division, is responsible for all administrative aspects related to operation of the Juvenile Division including the Ingham County Youth Center. Duties: Updating Court procedures as changes in law occur; serving as liaison to the Board of Commissioners and federal, state, and local agencies; representing and responsible for the direction of all departments of the Juvenile Division. Responsible for the full range of personnel functions including interviewing, hiring, supervision, discipline, staff training and development. Responsible for budget preparations, presentations, implementation, and oversight of the County General Fund and State Child Care Fund. Authorizes and signs all vouchers submitted to the Juvenile Division. Prepares written reports, and speaks for the Juvenile Division to the Board of Commissioners, other County departments, public and private agencies, other Court systems, and the State Court Administrator’s Office. Designs, develops, and oversees the implementation of programs. Directs, monitors, and evaluates the effectiveness of all Division policies, procedures and programs. Plans, develops, negotiates, and monitors all contractual programs for budgetary and data compliance. Conducts staff meetings to ensure each division is operating efficiently and update staff on new polices and procedures. Supervises services provided by Court staff to children and families who are under Court jurisdiction as well as services provided by state and private agencies.  Responsible for personnel functions such as payroll, records maintenance and contractual agreements between employees and the County. Conducts and attends meeting with representative from DHS, State Court Administrator’s Office, public, and private agencies. Represents the Juvenile Division to the media. Investigates and resolves problems and complaints that are referred by Judges, staff, clients, Commissioners, other State and County departments or the general public. Performs related duties as assigned by the Circuit Court Administrator, Presiding Judge, Family Division, Chief Circuit Judge, or other Judges. Attends and participates in Judges meeting and meets with Judges as needed. Ensures the Chief Judge and Circuit Court Administrator are advised on budget matters, security issues and program needs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services related fields and majors required. Desired areas of study include: Social Science, Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Work, and Family Life Sciences, or other related areas. DEPUTY CIRCUIT COURT ADMINISTRATOR - FRIEND OF THE COURT: Downtown Lansing, MI. Summary: Under the direction of the Court Administrator, manages and coordinates the functions of the Ingham County Friend of the Court. Duties:  Responsibilities include preparation, presentation, implementation and monitoring the Friend of the Court’s budget; short and long range planning leading to policy development and implementation; hiring; training, and supervising the clerical, professional and managerial staff; updating Court procedures as changes in law occur; serving as liaison to the Board of Commissioners and federal, state and local agencies. Performs the full range of personnel functions including interviewing, hiring, supervision, discipline, staff training and development. Supervises and directs the operation of complex computer programs. Conducts general and supervisory staff meetings to discuss problems and ensure each division is operating efficiently and updates staff on new policies and procedures. Supervises the quality and quantity of casework services administered to  families who are under Court jurisdiction. This includes overseeing the work of Court staff as well as services provided by the state and private agencies. Investigates and resolves problems and complaints that are referred by Judges, staff, clients, Commissioners, other County departments or the general public. Fulfills all statutory functions mandated for the Office of Friend of the Court. Performs related duties as assigned by the Circuit Court Administrator, Presiding Family Division Judge, Chief Circuit Judge, or other Judges. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Administration, or other closely related fields of study. ASSISTANT COURT ADMINISTRATOR: District Court and Las Vegas Justice Court. Duties: Assists in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the Court in coordination with the Court Administrator and the associate judges; assists in the preparation and administration of the department's budget. Plans, organizes, administers, reviews and evaluates the work of staff through subordinate supervisors. Oversees or provides for the selection, training, professional development and discipline of staff. Contributes to the overall quality of the department's service provision by developing and coordinating work teams and by reviewing, recommending and implementing improved policies and procedures. Acts as liaison with and provides professional assistance to judges and other County departments in functional areas of responsibility; represents the court and the County with other agencies, litigants and their representatives and the public. Monitors changes in legislation and technology, confers with court management regarding legislation, operational and facility planning, policies and administrative programs and procedures; evaluates proposed changes and facilitates implementation after approval. Oversees the maintenance of accurate records, including the automation of the calendaring and record keeping systems; directs the preparation of and prepares a variety of statistical and narrative reports for local use or submission to various agencies. Conducts studies, analyzes information, evaluates alternatives and makes recommendations; prepares narrative reports of findings; develops, revises and implements policies and procedures. Serves on a variety of committees and task forces as a representative of the court and the department. Acts as staff and provides technical support to judges, committees and similar justice groups. Uses standard office equipment, including a computer, in the course of the work. Must be able to commute to Court offices in outlying areas and to attend meetings in other County locations. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Government, Criminal Justice, Business or Public Administration or a field related to the work; AND Six (6) years of full-time administrative/professional level experience in a public agency setting, three (3) years of which were in a full-time management capacity. Possession of an advanced degree in appropriate field is desirable. Equivalent combination of formal education and appropriate related full-time experience may be considered. Court Executive 2b: Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth Vicinage. Summary: The Monmouth Vicinage is seeking an individual committed to the provision of quality service, with strong leadership, administrative, communication and writing skills, to serve as Court Executive 2b (Municipal Division Manager). Duties: Under the general direction of the Court Executive 3b (Trial Court Administrator), this position serves with the Presiding Judge of the Municipal Courts as the executive component of the Municipal Division of the Superior Court. DEPUTY COURT ADMINISTRATOR 2: Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court, Administration Division. Duties: Assist the Court Administrator in developing, planning, directing and organizing the administrative services of a metropolitan court. Provide fiscal, information technology and property management support to the Court. Manage Fiscal Director and Court Accounting, Purchasing, Budget and Audit/Reports Divisions. Manage Information Technology and Facilities Management Divisions. Work closely with court judges, law enforcement representatives, the Metropolitan Detention Center and city and county officials. May testify before legislative committees. Participate on statewide committees. May perform other duties in order to meet the operational needs of the Court. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, finance or closely related field and five years of administrative experience in budget, procurement, property management or information technology, of which three years must have been as a supervisor. Experience may substitute for education at the rate of 30 semester hours equals one year of experience. Preferred skill sets include: Knowledge of human resource management and information systems; legislative process; governmental budgeting rules; GAAP, GASB, auditing and financial management methods; and customer service practices. DEPUTY COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Superior Court, Kingman, AZ. Duties: Under administrative direction, performs professional and administrative work providing management assistance in the areas of fiscal and budget management, facilities, procurement, contract and grant administration and other court program/operational areas as may be assigned. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with major course work in court management, business or public administration, accounting or related field AND three (3) years of relevant, progressively responsible governmental accounting, budgeting and financial management experience preferably in a court or justice-related organization including at least one (1) year of management or supervisory experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. The ACEO should bring management knowledge and experience to court operations and is expected to provide innovative and creative leadership to ensure court operations are conducted in an effective, efficient, and economical manner, complying with California law and policies. The ACEO position requires strong leadership, management, organization and communication skills. Applicants should have knowledge in the following areas: California trial court operations; applicable statutory authorities; budgeting; facilities; security; technology management; and administrative areas such as fiscal and human resource management. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION MANAGER): Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth Vicinage. Summary: The Monmouth Vicinage Judiciary is seeking an individual with strong leadership and managerial skills to develop a partnership with senior and executive management and lead the organization in technology. Duties: Under the direction of Court Executive 3b (Trial Court Administrator) this manager will function as an internal consultant, conducting annual needs assessments to identify strategic planning initiatives.
