ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR 4: Office of Trial Court Services, Probation Services Division, Child Support Enforcement Services, AOC. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated administrative professional for the Probation Child Support Enforcement Services Unit in the AOC. Duties: Reporting to a court executive, the Administrative Supervisor 4 will be the lead technical supervisor responsible for coordinating automated support and new technologies for central office and vicinage child support enforcement operations. Responsibilities include working with Judiciary, Department of Human Services, other state agencies and contractor staff to implement and support a new statewide automated child support system (NJKiDS). Other responsibilities include but are not limited to supervision of professional staff, coordinating NJKiDS enhancements and maintenance, providing technical support, coordinating internet/intranet site maintenance, conducting research, performing analyses, and developing recommended procedures designed to enhance the enforcement of child support. PROBATE EXAMINER: Superior Court of California, Marin County. Summary: Under direction, reviews, examines and analyzes probate, conservatorship and guardianship files and documents in pending matters set for hearing in court; ensures that all documents provided are accurate, legally and procedurally sufficient and that adequate information is available for the Probate Judge and Commissioner to make an appropriate ruling; performs related work as required. Duties: Reviews files to ensure that documentation is legally and procedurally sufficient and in compliance with appropriate local rules; assures files have no outstanding issues; ensures appropriate distribution of assets against the will, and reviews cases for final discharge. Reviews petitions for conservatorship and guardianships; notes deficiencies and contacts attorneys and petitioners to resolve problems and issues. Reviews reports prepared by Conservatorship Investigators and requests additional information as needed. Prepares written analyses and calendar notes for judicial officers; sets forth the facts of each petition; determines which cases may be granted without review by the Probate judicial officers; summarizes the legal factors and relevant issues, and makes recommendations for action. Reviews the probate calendar with the Probate judicial officers, records tentative decisions and provides information regarding complex, contested or otherwise difficult cases. Reviews attorney fee requests for reasonableness, following established guidelines, recommends payment or reductions as appropriate; reviews and approves applications from private conservatorship fiduciaries. Provides information to attorneys, investigators, the public and others regarding the probate process, procedures and specific issues regarding cases in question; advises attorneys and petitioners regarding requirements which must be met prior to the court proceedings; works with attorneys and petitioners to resolve deficiencies and discrepancies in pending probate matters. Performs a variety of legal research and briefs the Probate judicial officers regarding unusual case issues prior to hearings. Qualifications: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, accounting, political science or a field related to the work, and two years of responsible experience in legal and financial documentation and analysis which included direct experience working with documents and procedures related to probate, conservatorship and guardianship cases. COURT SERVICES SUPERVISOR 4: New Jersey Judiciary, Office of Trial Court Services, Probation Services Division, AOC. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a detail-oriented individual for the River Regional Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) Office of the Probation Services Division, Intensive Supervision Program. Duties: The position entails supervising the activities of ISP Court Service Officers, support staff and consultants assigned to assessment duties in the Intensive Supervision Program and assist the Regional Supervisor in the management of the regional office. COURT EXECUTIVE 2A: New Jersey Judiciary, Office of Trial Court Services, Probation Services Division, AOC. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a manager to join the Probation Services Division, Intensive Supervision Program (ISP). The Court Executive 2a will be responsible for implementing procedures to meet ISP’s expansion goals. COURT EXECUTIVE 2A:  Office of Trial Court Services, Probation Services Division, Intensive Supervision Program, AOC. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a manager to join the Probation Services Division, Intensive Supervision Program (ISP). SUPERVISORY PROBATION OFFICER – PRE AND POST DISPOSITION SUPERVISION: Family Court Social Services, Location varies. Duties: Incumbent is responsible for managing one of the Pre and Post Adjudicated Probation Supervision Units. Ensures timely dissemination of juvenile cases to probation officers, effective investigations, validation of the initiation of cases in the juvenile social file, facilitation of family group conferences, development of pre-trial reports to support sound case management, service coordination and supervision (including home and school visits and curfew checks), as well as consultation with the Office of the Attorney General and defense counsel and families of youth throughout all phases of adjudication. SUPERVISORY DRUG COURT PROBATION OFFICER: Family Court Social Services, 409 E Street, NW, Washington, D.C. Summary: Duties: Incumbent is responsible for managing the Juvenile Drug Court Treatment and Supervision Unit. Monitors and supervises a team of substance abuse counselors, probation officers, one deputy clerk and interns, providing guidance, training, and evaluation, and ensuring compliance with division and branch policies, procedures, goals and objectives. Serves as an experienced member of a supervisory management team, lending assistance and support in accomplishment of branch and division objectives. Ensures all substance abuse services, referrals and written and oral interpretations of therapeutic services are carried out in a manner consistent with established guidelines and protocols governing substance abuse treatment as set by the D.C. Department of Health’s Addition Prevention and Recovery Administration. Ensures probation supervision/monitoring (including home and school visits, curfew checks, pre-trial plans, progress reports and social studies) are conducted consistent with established guidelines and standards set by the division. Identifies need and plans and conducts training programs for staff. Ensures staff members are abreast of cutting-edge theories and practices in the delivery of substance abuse treatment and prevention, as well as alternative community-based services to ensure continuity in services delivery to youths and families. Qualifications: A master’s degree in social sciences, plus four years of experience managing social service programs geared toward juveniles and their families. Appointees to this position must not have passed their 37th birthday in the month of appointment in order to qualify for mandatory law enforcement separation/retirement at age fifty-seven. Previous qualifying law enforcement experience under CSRS or FERS may be counted toward eligibility. Additionally, appointees must have current Level II Certified Addiction Counselor certification to practice substance abuse counseling and clinical supervision in the District of Columbia, and the ability to acquire a Master Addiction Certification (MAC) within no less than two years following acceptance of the position. PROGRAM MANAGER – PRE & POST PROBATION SUPERVISION: Family Court Social Services, 409 E. Street, NW, Washington, D.C. Duties: Incumbent manages the Pre and Post Disposition Probation Supervision Branch of the division, and is responsible for ensuring effective accomplishment of duties and responsibilities necessary to accomplish timely and effective case processing, dispositional recommendations, case management and supervision, as well as additional activities relative to assigned goals and objectives. Interacts with the judiciary, juvenile justice stakeholders and other court systems staff to achieve cooperative relationships and ensure proper workflow across satellite offices including: pre-trial investigations, home and school visits, curfew monitoring, collateral interviews, case management, service referrals, community supervision, and public education on division initiatives. Serves as an experienced member of the branch responsible for cases assigned and designated to appropriate satellite offices, based on criteria established for all satellite offices and police service areas. PROBATION OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR: Probation-Mohave County . Duties: Under general supervision, oversees, manages, supervises and administers the day-to-day and overall operations of one or more work units of the Mohave County Probation Office. Serves as a working supervisor in handling a case load. Participates in a variety of probation-related personnel management, fiscal management, records management, office management, space and equipment management, public education, research and advisory services and intergovernmental relates related to probation operations and services. Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree with a preference in the behavioral sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university (as required by Arizona Revised Statute A.R.S. 8-203 and Part 6, Chapter 1, Section 6-106 of the Arizona Code of Judicial Administration) AND four (4) years experience in the fields of corrections or probation, or working with offenders or delinquents in some equivalent capacity with one (1) year in an administrative or supervisory capacity OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge and skills have been achieved.
