JUVENILE DETENTION TEACHER (SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER): Juvenile Detention. Kingman, Arizona. Summary: Performs professional and administrative work in the basic and special education programs for students in the year round Goal Oriented Learning Development School in the Juvenile Detention Facility. Qualifications: Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field, current Arizona teaching certificate, and two years of increasingly responsible experience in developing curricula, group and/or individual lesson plans and teaching special and basic education. Experience working with special education and/or at-risk children and teaching endorsement in developmental disabilities is preferred. DEPUTY PROBATION OFFICER I: Mohave County Probation Offices. AZ. Summary: Deputy Probation Officers are responsible for the supervision and investigation of adult or juvenile offenders. Duties: This involves reviewing and investigating cases, interviewing offender and families, preparing court reports and recommendations, and supervising adult and/or juvenile probationers. Qualifications: Successful applicants must be 21 years of age and must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferably in the behavioral or social sciences, a valid Arizona driver’s license and be of good moral character. COURT SERVICES SUPERVISOR 2 (Team Leader, Supervising PO): Burlington Vicinage, Probation Division, Supervision Services Unit, Juvenile Team. Mount Holly, NJ. Summary: The Burlington Vicinage seeks a motivated, organized, and self-directed individual to serves as a Court Services Supervisor 2 in the Probation Division. Duties: Under the general direction of the Court Executive IB (Vicinage Assistant Chief Probation Officer), the successful candidate will monitor, assign, coordinate, evaluate, review, lead and supervise the work activities and staff resources of a team consisting of professional employees who are responsible for enforcing orders of the Court. PROBATION OFFICER: Probation Division, Drug Court, Somerset County Courthouse, Vicinage 13, Superior Court of New Jersey. Somerville, NJ. Summary: This is a reassignment opportunity. Under the direction of the Court Executive 2B (Vicinage Chief Probation Officer) or other supervisory personnel, the selected individual will administer the day-to-day operations of a supervision caseload of drug court offenders while working in a strong team-like environment of consensus decision making. PROBATION OFFICER: Court Social Services, District of Columbia Courts. Summary: Supervises and monitors pre and post adjudicated juveniles placed on probation in the community as well as those detained during adjudication through direct case management, coordination of an array of supportive services, tracking of re-arrests, etc., in accordance with Division case classification standards. Duties: Visits home to conduct home status visits and curfew monitoring (consistent with law enforcement classification), school, community agencies and service providers. Analyzes and investigates critical information to produce comprehensive written reports for the judiciary. Provides oral presentations and recommendations in formal court hearings. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Appointees to probation officer positions must not have passed their 37th birthday in the month of appointment in order to qualify for mandatory law enforcement separation/retirement at age fifty-seven.
