ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR 3/4: Office of Management and Administrative Services, Support Services Unit, Administrative Office of the Courts. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a highly motivated professional to work in the Facilities Management unit. Duties: Under the general supervision of the Chief, Facilities Management, the selected individual will oversee the Judiciary's voice telecommunications programs for the Central Office and Vicinages. The selected individual will oversee analysis of existing telecommunications systems, writing the scope of work for new telephone systems and the review and analysis of vendor proposals for new systems. The selected individual will be responsible for the overall installation of all new telephone systems. Additional work will include the supervision of staff who process requests for adds, moves and changes and programming changes in existing telephone systems. This entails coordinating interaction among court managers and staff, vendors and others. In addition, the selected individual will be responsible for telephone billing, managing Centrex telephone line inventories, providing ongoing technical support to vicinage courts, providing recommendations on cost savings, and represent management at various meetings. COURT EXECUTIVE 3B: Office of Management and Administrative Services, Support Services Unit, Administrative Office of the Courts. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual with strong Court Access, Court and General Security, Facilities Management, and Health & Safety Skills to be responsible for the daily operation of the Support Services Unit, Management Services Division at the Administrative Office of the Courts. Excellent management and administrative skills are needed for this position as the Court Executive 3A will oversee a support unit and will report directly to the Assistant Director of the Management Services Division. Duties: Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Overseeing the Court Access Services Unit including statewide court security, court access, continuity of operations planning, and ADA accommodations, statewide health & safety audits and issues, fleet management and office services; overseeing the Facilities Management Unit including both the central office and the vicinage facilities, telecommunications, and construction projects, central office print shop, and central office stock room. CHIEF CAPITAL PROJECTS MANAGER: Capital Projects and Facilities Management, District of Columbia Courts. Washington, DC. Summary: Incumbent manages, directs and coordinates the operations of the Capital Projects Branch of the Capital Projects and Facilities Management Division. Duties: Provides guidance on all elements involved in the initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and close out of Courts capital projects: construction or programmatic. Shares responsibility for development and submission of the Courts’ capital budget which includes projects in progress, future projects, and analysis of strategic and resource implementation plans. Assures scheduled Capital Projects are funded, contracted, and executed per the requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulations and the DC Courts Strategic Plan Goal of Public Accountability. BUILDING OPERATIONS MANAGER: Capital Projects and Facilities Management, District of Columbia Courts. Washington, DC. GENERAL OPERATIONS DIVISION MANAGER: Superior Court of New Jersey Morris/Sussex Vicinage. Morristown, NJ. Summary: Under the general direction of the Assignment Judge and the Trial Court Administrator, the Court Executive 2b (General Operations Division Manager) is responsible for the management of Morris County Courthouse operations and facilities including space allocation, renovations, relocations and maintenance. Duties: The selected candidate will oversee the administrative functions of court interpreting services, court reporting, transcripts, courtroom technology including sound and video recording, court security, jury management and vehicle fleet coordination. Responsibilities also include overseeing emergency management, workplace violence programs, health and safety, the identification and removal of barriers to public access (including access for disabled individuals by serving as ADA Coordinator) and overseeing the maintenance, retention storage and integrity of all court records. BUILDING MAINTENANCE MECHANIC: Capitol Projects & Facilities Management, District of Columbia Courts. Washington, DC. Summary: Incumbent is responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the central air conditioning plant, the central heating plant and various steam reducing stations, air handling units, pumps, fans and related equipment. COURT SERVICES GENERALIST: United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, Court Services Unit, Clerk’s Office. Detroit, MI. Summary: The employee performs a combination of manual, mechanical and clerical duties with primary responsibility for receiving and distribution of supplies, furniture, equipment and all other procured materials. The work is physically demanding and involves heavy lifting, moving boxes and furniture, unpacking crates, etc. and the use of a hi-lo and electric pallet jack on a daily basis. A majority of work is performed at the loading dock areas resulting in exposure to the elements. Work is also performed in an office setting or in various storage locations. Duties: Receives, unpacks and examines incoming shipments, checks the condition of the goods that are sent to the Court. Rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with contracting officer to rectify damages and shortages. Compares the original order form, bill, or invoice with the merchandise to see that the order has been filled correctly. Responsible to trace lost or delayed shipments and make arrangements with contracting officer for prompt shipment. Maintains electronic tracking sheet as items are received. Compares reports/packing slips to purchase orders in the FAS4T system for completeness; appropriately annotates and communicates status to assigned procurement clerk or supervisor. Maintains automated inventory of disposable supply stock, furniture and equipment on a perpetual basis. Responsible for making the arrangements to move the items received to the stockroom, warehouse, or appropriate department. Prepares and packages supplies, equipment and furniture for shipment. Routes supplies, equipment and/or furniture to requesting office with direction provided by procurement staff or supervisor. Initiates requisitions for replenishing stock according to policies and procedures. METROPOLITIAN COURT FACILITIES DIRECTOR: Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court, Facilities Management Division. Albuquerque, NM. Summary: Primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the day-to-day facility maintenance and parking garage operations for the Court. Duties: Manage the contracts for cleaning, parking garage management, elevator maintenance, electronic surveillance and other services provided as part of the Court’s operation. Forecast needs and costs for the facility and maintenance of the courthouse, parking structure and leased space to be considered in the budget. It is designed to ensure that all court facilities are maintained in the highest of standards in their operation, maintenance and repair. Duties: Incumbent is responsible for assisting in implementation and coordination of maintenance, repair, and renovations for four Court-owned and leased facilities. Assists the Facility Manager in completing surveys and monitoring the conditions of Court-owned buildings with regard to interior repair and improvements. DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF COURT FACILITIES MANAGEMENT: New York Unified Court System. Summary: Under general direction of the Director of Court Facilities Management, the Deputy Director of Court Facilities Management is responsible for coordinating the alteration of existing court structures and for participating in the design, engineering, and construction phases of new court facilities, and performs other related duties. Duties: Plans and coordinates work schedules; assigns work and establishes completion dates; establishes training procedures and guidelines; trains subordinate staff; evaluates staff performance; develops work performance standards and reviews work for compliance with instructions and procedures. SUPPLY/INVENTORY CLERK: District of Columbia Courts, Administrative Services. Washington, D.C. Duties: Incumbent performs clerical duties which include: assisting in the receipt of furniture, equipment and supplies; preparing forms and performing research on the value of surplus property being transferred to the DC Courts; and assisting in reconciling all property accounts to ensure that property received is inventoried. Incumbent also performs duties of a physical nature including: the delivery of furniture, equipment and supplies to the requisitioning office; moving and placement of all property currently within the DC Courts’ supply system; storing unused property; and assisting in the completion of inventories of fixed assets using bar coding and other technology. LEAD OFFICE SUPPLY/INVENTORY CLERK: District of Columbia Courts, Administrative Services. Washington, D.C. Duties: The Lead Office Supply/Inventory Clerk performs multiple management duties which include, but are not limited to: personnel management; fiscal responsibilities pertaining to inventory maintenance such as preparation of an annual cost and available supply balance, distribution and reporting, operational management; and management of inventory facility. The Lead Office Supply/Inventory Clerk prepares requisitions for replenishment activities, oversees accurate cataloguing of office supplies, and implements office supply inventory management which includes inventory control, system design and maintenance. The Lead Office Supply/Inventory Clerk researches vendors for the most appropriate sources to be secured for the DC Courts. Qualifications: A high school diploma or General Equivalence Diploma (G.E.D.) and at least four years of administrative or clerical experience. MATERIALS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST: Administrative Services, District of Columbia Courts. Washington, D.C. Duties: Incumbent is responsible for managing, regulating, coordinating, and exercising control over supplies, equipment, and other material e.g. furniture. Duties includes one or more phases of material management including initial planning, provisioning and requirements determination, acquisition and distribution, accountability, and ultimate issue for consumption, retention, and disposal. The incumbent is also responsible for the operations, coordination and control inventory and systems of inventory and supply management. Qualifications: Seven years of experience in the operations, coordination and control of inventory and systems of inventory and supply management, as well as storage issues and disposal processes; or a bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, or a related field, plus three years of experience in the operations, coordination and control of inventory and systems of inventory and supply management, as well as storage issues and disposal processes. Under the direction of the Director, Court Facilities
and/or the Facilities Services Manager, the Custodial Supervisor
plans, organizes, supervises and coordinates the cleaning and
maintenance of Court buildings and facilities and performs other
related work as required. Duties:
Plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, inspects and evaluates the work of
subordinate custodial employees and contract custodial agencies;
Trains custodial staff in appropriate methods to perform
custodial duties in a safe, efficient manner, and ensures that
staff follow the correct procedures; Inspects interior and
exterior of buildings and facilities for appearance,
cleanliness, and sanitary conditions; Orders and arranges
delivery of supplies
and equipment and ensures that they are available as needed;
Checks equipment for safety, and instructs personnel in the safe
and proper use of custodial equipment; Ensures that the
equipment is properly maintained, replaced, and available as
needed; Meets with customers or Facilities Management to review
service levels and to resolve complaints; Oversees window
washing, recycling, and/or moving operations; Lifts and carries
supplies and equipment which weigh in excess of 75 lbs; Responds
promptly and accurately to job-related questions and complaints
from subordinate employees and keeps higher level management
informed of any potential problems; Prepares and maintains
reports and records of maintenance problems, employee
timekeeping, labor hours assigned; Works flexible hours
in order to oversee both day and night shift staff. Qualifications:
Three (3) or more years’ full time or its equivalent
custodial experience in commercial, industrial or public agency,
performing the full range of custodial duties, including the use
of industrial vacuums, buffers, and rug cleaning equipment. One
(1) year of the above experience must have been in a lead or
