Summary: Essex Vicinage is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the above position in our Information Technology Division. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSTEMS ANALYST/PROJECT LEAD): District of Columbia Courts, 500 Indiana Ave, NW, Washington, D.C. Summary: Incumbent will perform systematic study of an existing business situation, identification of problems and opportunities, and specification of the requirements for the solution. Duties:  The analyst will study the information problems and needs of the organization to determine how to best solve the problems and accomplish improvements using information technology. The systems analyst/project leader will create and maintain required documentation and specifications as deemed necessary by the initiative. Incumbent will be responsible for leading the projects and well as overseeing the analysis phase of the SDLC. Will participate in all SDLC phases. ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR 4: Information Technology Office, AOC, Trenton, New Jersey. Duties: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual to supervise/lead a professional MVS Systems Programming staff in our IBM mainframe SYSPLEX environment running z/OS 1.8 with the opportunity to use multi-platform technology as well as develop requirements, analyze, program, test, implement and resolve technical problems associated with the New Jersey Court systems. This position will be concentrated on, but not limited to, work in mainframe systems programming support, maintenance, capacity planning, hardware implementation, and disaster recovery. Duties: The selected individual will be analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems associated with information systems including Windows 2003 servers, Windows XP and Vista desktops, and LAN/WAN connectivity. The selected individual should be able to deploy software using automated methods; create test and deploy security enhancements using group policy objects; assist in the maintenance and enhancement of a Window 2003 network. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT: Court Administration/Information Technology Division, Circuit Court, Upper Marlboro, MD.  Summary: The Information Technology Consultant is responsible for assessing the overall court’s information technology system. Duties: The incumbent provides direct consultative support and training to staff on information technology-based systems, court applications software, multimedia, database resources, network support, hardware consultation and application support.  Provides consultative support and services to the Court Administrator, Deputy Court Administrator, and the Director of Information Technology to ensure problem resolution, system/data access, and optimal system performance. Provides consultative support to users in the development or use of applications, software packages, and their features. Evaluates applications, networks, databases, and other systems.  Provides advice and assessment on staffing need. Must interact professionally with Judges, Public Officials, Court Personnel, and other court-related agencies. SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR: Information Technology, 500 Indiana Ave, NW, Washington D.C. Summary: Duties: Incumbent serves as the senior specialist in systems administration, playing a key role in defining, building and supporting Courts’ enterprise infrastructure. Ensures the integrity, dependability and availability of systems, networks and data through planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of information systems programs, policies, procedures and tools. Implements and administers operating systems, enterprise applications and related hardware and software environments to provide reliable and timely support to Courts’ employees and customers. Shares responsibility to define and validate proper and reliable tape and disk backup schedules to recover data in case of hardware and software failures. Researches, introduces, implements and maintains new technologies to support current and future Courts’ IT operations. Applies firmware and software patches, replaces and upgrades hardware parts to maintain and support state of the art systems. Works with security personnel to implement programs to ensure that systems, network and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures. COURT SYSTEMS ANALYST I/II: Administrative Office of the Courts, Supreme Court of Nevada, Carson City, NV. Summary: This position is with the Administrative Office of the Courts, Judicial Branch Technology Project Support Section and will support the state-sponsored trial court Case Management System (CMS) and other software applications. Duties: Under the direction of senior level management, the successful candidate will enhance, test, implement, train and support the CMS as well as other software applications; work with users to determine on-going system requirements; develop training materials, including written documentation, educate court staff in the use of the various software applications through personal contact and helpdesk support, and perform other related work as assigned. This is a journey-level position and the incumbent is required to be fully competent to independently perform assigned duties.
