Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual with strong leadership skills and commitment to the provision of quality service. This individual is responsible for the design, development, administration, and continuous improvement of systems and applications supporting the State of New Jersey court system. PC MANAGER: United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, Atlanta, Georgia. Duties: The incumbent reports directly to the Assistant Circuit Executive for Information Technology and will be responsible for supervising a team of automation specialists in overseeing the operation and maintenance of desktop support in a WinXP/Win2K3 environment. INFORMATION
TECHNOLOGY MANAGER (DEPUTY CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER): State of Oregon, Judicial Department, Office of the State
Court Administrator, Enterprise Technology Services Division,
Salem, OR. Summary: Under
the direction of the CIO, the Deputy CIO is responsible for
managing the day to day functions of the Enterprise Technology
Services Division (ETSD). Duties: The areas of direct responsibility include the applications
development, infrastructure and customer relationship groups.
The advancement of technology in the judicial branch is
facilitated through a central technology governance committee
structure consisting of members representing the trial and
appellate courts, administration, and the Oregon State Bar. In conjunction with the CIO, the Deputy CIO is
responsible for executing policy recommendations made by the
committee as affirmed by the Chief Justice and State Court
Administrator, which affect the day to day operations of ETSD.
Comprehensive technological planning and operational support for
the appellate courts is provided by the Enterprise Technology
Services Division. For the trial courts, with direction and
input from the CIO and appropriate court committees, the Deputy
CIO conducts needs assessments regarding functional
requirements, establishes standards, develops plans and
statewide policy for implementation at the local level, and
reviews annual operational plans developed and submitted by the
circuit courts. The Deputy CIO may be responsible for developing
and managing regional support centers to provide technology
support for local trial courts that request these services. The
Deputy CIO will coordinate and provide advanced support services
for all levels of Oregon Judicial Department approved software
and hardware. Support to end users by researching, developing,
delivering and managing all resources including hardware,
software, and personnel. This position is a hands-on position
and may perform systems analysis, project management, and
technical support oversight. It also collaborates with and
provides backup IT functions for the trial courts. The Deputy
CIO in conjunction with the CIO will develop, maintain and
enforce procedures and policies for ETSD day to day functions,
computer operations, applications development and customer

bachelor’s degree in computer science,

The selected individual will lead development work in the
web and client server environments supporting court case
processing individual web development, electronic filing and
document imaging functions. Our software database environments
include: JAVA, WASD, XLM, Websphere, JAVA Script, MQ series,
Visual Basic, Kofax, the Rational Unified Process, DB2 and
Content Manager. Responsibilities include leading the
documentation of business and technical requirements, defining
workflow processes, architecting and developing application
solutions and conducting technical research on new technologies.
Other responsibilities include hardware and software

SYSTEMS ENGINEER: Seattle, Washington. Summary: This
position is responsible for systems engineering and operational
management of the Department’s core business systems,
including the Electronic Courts Record system; a highly complex,
distributed system serving multiple Departments, external
agencies, and the public for the submission and management of
Superior Court case filings; composed of approximately forty
Windows-based servers, including application hosting servers,
multiple high-volume transactional RDBMS database servers, a
multi-million document/multi-terabyte records repository,
and numerous Windows and web-based client applications. Duties:
Full lifecycle administrative management of all servers,
operating systems, and peripheral devices such as document
scanning systems, optical jukeboxes, and storage subsystems in
the ECR system, including development, test, production, and
failover servers and equipment. Administrative management of
commercial and custom software related to the ECR system,
including installation, configuration, and maintenance for
Internet Information Server, Microsoft Message Queuing,
Component Services, FileNet Image Services, SQL Server, and

COMPUTER SERVICES COORDINATOR: Olympia, Washington. Duties:
As the principal assistant to the Washington State Law
Librarian, the Library Computer Services Coordinator is
responsible for a variety of administrative matters and
projects. This position will provide administrative support for
maintaining and developing the law library's portion of
Innovative Interfaces (III) as well as the development and
delivery of data processing systems and user support functions.
The position is responsible for the information technology
requirements for the Law Library, including maintenance of
