Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a detail-oriented professional to perform professional tasks associated with the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), Human Resources Division position classification responsibilities. ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR 3 (CONFIDENTIAL): Office of Management and Administrative Services, Human Resources Division, Administrative Office of the Courts. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources professional for the Payroll and Benefits Unit in the Administrative Office of the Courts. Duties: Reporting to the Chief of Payroll and Benefits (Court Executive 2b), the Administrative Supervisor 3 is responsible for oversight of three employees who provide support and guidance to statewide vicinage Human Resources staff on a full range of issues including payroll and benefits activities in both the classified and unclassified service, policies and procedures, database integrity, and timekeeping. JUDICIARY COORDINATOR 2: Mercer Vicinage, Human Resources Division. Trenton, NJ. Summary: Under the direction of the Human Resources Supervisor, this position will function in a hybrid capacity: partially as a generalist in human resources and partially as a training coordinator. Duties: This position will perform general human resources functions, including employee problem resolution (in areas such as benefits, employee relations and labor relations,) cross training of staff, health and safety coordination/reporting and special projects.  The position will also develop, present, facilitate, and coordinate training sessions for the vicinage. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B: Office of Management and Administrative Services, Human Resources Division, Administrative Office of the Courts. Trenton, NJ. Summary: This position supervises staff in the Administrative Office of the Court’s Placement and Classification Sections and provides recruitment and classification guidance to the 15 vicinages (trial court) Human Resource Offices. Duties: The selected individual will oversee recruitment/selection policies and procedures to ensure that unclassified and classified (Career Service) vacancies are appropriately recruited for and filled on a timely basis; deve.lop new recruitment initiatives to attract quality candidates based upon analysis of recruitment and retention data, including exit interview surveys; coordinate with the New Jersey Civil Service commission (CSC) regarding Career/Civil Service testing and appointment procedures; oversee all central office recruitments as well as statewide law clerk recruitments and appointments; and in the event of layoffs in any Appointing Authority would oversee implementation in accordance with Civil Service and Judiciary procedures. Duties: Provide day-to-day personnel and payroll support for chambers and clerk’s staff. Prepare and process a variety of human resource and payroll actions. Maintains reports and records using automated human resources management information system. Maintain time and attendance and audit leave tracking system. Maintain, file and scan all personnel-related documents. Participate in recruitment, prepare related records, create and classify position descriptions and assist with new employee orientation. COURT HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER: Second Judicial District Court. Washoe County, NV. Summary: This position would perform high level human resource/personnel work; plan, develop and train on human resource policies and programs; develop goals and objectives; gather trends and analyze data, would develop a comprehensive court human resource program, supervise professional, technical, and clerical staff in the areas of recruitment, selection, classification, compensation, policy development, training, records maintenance, EEO, and other duties as assigned. Duties: Develop human resources related programs, policies, and procedures for the Court that are in compliance with Federal, State, and EEOC guidelines and best business practices. STAFF DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST: United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District of California. Los Angeles, CA. Summary: The Staff Development Specialist is responsible for planning, recommending, developing, and implementing a strategic and comprehensive training program for the court. This position requires a combination of strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Duties: The Staff Development Specialist performs the following duties: identifies court training needs on a continuous basis through analysis and surveys; develops local training policies and procedures; coordinates and maintains master schedule of training programs and courses; coordinates the use of equipment and space and facilities; develops and presents training programs; serves as liaison to external resources who provide training to the court; gathers and analyzes training data; prepares graphs, tables, and writes reports. Occasional travel to other divisional offices may be required. HUMAN SERVICES SUPPORT SPECIALIST I: Family Services, Second Judicial District Court. Washoe County, NV. Summary: This on-call position will be responsible for monitoring visits of families court ordered to participate in a program of supervised visitation at the Family Peace Center located at the District Court at 75 Court Street. The Family Peace Center is a program of the Family Services Division of the Second Judicial District Court. Duties: Monitor visits between children and parents and/or other relatives; prepare visitation area; observe and record interactions between family members; prepare and enter reports into the FPC database and forward information to appropriate staff. Ensure that procedures for record keeping and confidentiality, risk assessment and intake are rigorously followed. Identify high risk and emergency situations; make referrals to appropriate agency staff when neglect or abuse is suspected. Follow security protocols to ensure the safety and well-being of those using the Peace Center. Participate in training on supervision practices. Perform enrollment and verify required check-in proceedings for program clients; report on progress and non-compliance issues to the Family Services Program Manager. Assist clients to understand and follow visitation protocols. DEPUTY DIRECTOR: District of Columbia Courts, Human Resources. Washington, D.C. Summary: Incumbent serves as Deputy Director to the Director of the Human Resources Division, and operates with full administrative (in the absence of the Director) and specific delegated technical authority for the comprehensive operating human resources management programs of the D.C. Courts. Duties: Incumbent supervises and is responsible for the performance of human resources management activity in the areas of: recruitment and employment; classification and pay compensation; employee relations and employee benefits; and work force planning. As assigned, serves as COTR for Human Resources contracts. Provides human resources management advisory services to the divisions and branches of the courts, participating in conferences and meetings, and advising in the planning of new and revised operating programs on personnel related issues. Summary: Incumbent serves as a senior level personnel staffing specialist for recruiting and testing applicants for vacant non-judicial positions in the DC Superior Court, the DC Court of Appeals, and the Court System. Duties: Performs job analyses and develops valid, job-related, non-discriminatory selection procedures. Designs, develops and implements recruitment, staffing and selection projects and programs. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B: Office of Management & Administrative Services, Human Resources Division, Labor and Employee Relations Unit, AOC. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual with strong management and legal skills to serve under the general direction of the Court Executive 3b (Assistant Director of Human Resources). Duties: The selected individual will represent management in labor and employee relations matters, including representing the Judiciary in all matters pertaining to the negotiation and administration of Judiciary labor contracts. The position requires an understanding of management principles and prerogatives, including the practical implications of contract proposals and legal advice on operational responsibilities. This position directs the staff and operations of the Administrative Office of the Courts' Labor and Employee Relations Unit within the Human Resources Division. HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST: U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. Detroit, MI. Summary: This position is located in the Human Resources department in Detroit and reports to the Human Resources Manager. The employee is responsible for performing and coordinating administrative, technical, and professional work related to human resource programs and activities, including planning, developing and ensuring compliance with the appropriate guidelines, policies, and approved internal controls.
