FINANCIAL SERVICES ANALYST: Olympia, Washington. Duties: Reports to Financial Services Business Manager and is responsible for performing procurement functions as well as providing professional financial services accounting, payroll and/or auditing duties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, government auditing standards and regulations and Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) procedures.  Work is performed independently within defined areas. Work performed is generally routine and includes analysis, review and interpretation of reports, preparation of reports, and recommendations for enhancement of business processes. Work products are subject to review and approval by managerial and senior professional level staff. Processes accounts payable including but not limited to: contracts, use tax, travel reimbursements, encumbrances, and refunds. Responsible for the review and verification of critical information including but not limited to: budget code, approval signature, proof of receipt, social security number, payment type, etc. in accordance with established procedures and accounting standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely allied field to include 10 Semester or 15 quarter hours of college level accounting; OR   Two (2) years or more of fiscal bookkeeping or recordkeeping tasks AND 10 Semester or 15 quarter hours of college level accounting. A combination of relevant education and experience demonstrating a working knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of the Financial Services Analyst may be considered in the meeting the qualification baseline. FINANCIAL SPECIALIST, SENIOR: Idaho Judicial Branch. Summary: Under the guidance and direction of the Financial Executive Officer, performs a full range of advanced financial duties requiring the application of accounting and/or auditing theory, principles and practices; performs related word. Duties: Independently manage advanced financial functions; performs complex financial functions; performs equivalent-level functions in which advanced professional financial skills are clearly required.  Contact with individuals in other agencies to respond to inquiries; resolve sensitive and complex problems; may supervise staff and financial activities; develops budgets for various conferences; develops and maintains accounting systems’ prepares complex financial documents; plans and review financial operations; handles difficult or sensitive financial matters; supervise or may conduct audits; conducts research into the financial needs of the agency; performs other duties as assigned. COURT OPERATIONS MANAGER: Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus.  Duties:Manages and participates in the daily operation of a division; develops and implements goals, objectives and procedures for the division consistent with Court policies; develops standards against which to evaluate performance and level of service; recommends changes in policies and procedures. Identifies and projects budget needs for the operation of the division; writes justifications for funding requests; monitors expenditures to assure compliance with budget; assesses the cause of, and accounts for, variances between projected and actual expenditures; formulates budget requests; prepares operational reports, financial statements and other materials; makes presentations, as required. FISCAL TECHNICIAN: Superior Court of California, County of Tuolumne, Sonora, CA. Summary: Duties: Under general direction, incumbents assigned to this position provide technical-level assistance in tracking, reconciling, and maintaining the Court’s fiscal and related accounting activities, including coordination of Court facility needs with external vendors.  Posts transcripts and reconciles ledgers and other accounting records to accounting systems.  Computes obligations and collects and verifies supporting documentation and approvals for payables. Prepares accounting systems documents [e.g. vouchers, encumbrances, warrants, and checks] for approval and distribution. Processes, verifies, and reconciles bail, fine, and fee receipts and collection reports. Reviews, audits, and enters invoices using an automated financial system. Reviews documents for data integrity, availability of funds, and proper approvals.  Performs month-end reconciliations of a wide variety of accounting records. Audits and verifies cashier cash receipts and makes deposits. Matches invoices to the proper purchase orders and contracts. Maintains encumbrance register, and initiates adjustments to encumbrances and performs associated reconciliations. Assists with the preparation of fiscal year-end reports. Prepares claim schedules, contracts, and purchase orders for approval and maintains related files files. Processes revolving fund check requests. Prepares and types memos and correspondence as assigned. Provides backup operational assistance as needed. Coordinates the court facilities maintenance needs with external vendors and suppliers. Performs other related duties as assigned. SENIOR FINANCIAL SERVICES MANAGER: Superior Court of California, County of Contra Costa. Summary: The Superior Court in Contra Costa County is seeking a finance/accounting professional to fill a vacant Senior Financial Services Manager position.  Senior Financial Services Managers report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and may supervise clerical, professional and managerial employees assigned to the Financial Services Division.  The person appointed to this position will assist the CFO in the administration of the Court’s $70 million dollar annual budget. Duties: The Senior Financial Services Manager’s management responsibilities include but are not limited to: preparation and ongoing monitoring of the Court’s annual budget; assists in the development of fiscal policies and procedures; monitors fiscal operations to assure conformance with policy, procedure and legal requirements; prepares accounting reports and statements; oversees the distribution of fines and fees and the accounting aspects of court case management; represents the Court in contacts with representatives from the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) and other agencies; trains, mentors and develops subordinate clerical and accounting staff; and, acts as Chief Financial Officer in his or her absence. Summary: This position is located in the Payroll Branch of the District of Columbia Courts’ Budget and Finance Division. Duties: Responsibilities include the development of compensation and benefits reports; review and development of responses to internal and external inquiries regarding payroll records and transactions; compilation and analysis of financial related compensation and benefits reports (e.g., Cumulative Salaries by division and branch), Fiscal Year (FY) to Date Personal Services budget versus actuals by position; productive versus non-productive time. Summary: Under the direction of the Court Executive 2b (Finance Division Manger) or other supervisory personnel, answers inquiries from the public. Duties: Reviews legal documents for completeness of format, grammar or spelling; verifies records for accuracy, completeness or conformity; verifies requisitions, vouchers, bank statements, or financial transactions for accuracy; codes information or documents for entry into computer terminal; and checks inputs or outputs of data processing unit for accuracy. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual with strong clerical skills to perform support tasks in the Financial Services Division. Duties: The selected individual will be responsible for analysis of statistical or financial data, verification of records for accuracy, analysis of reports for distribution or action, calculating statistical information for reports, data entry, filing and file organization, copying and other tasks as required.
