COURT REPORTER: Sixth Judicial Circuit. Pierre, SD. Summary: Position performs stenographic work in recording and transcribing verbatim court proceedings, hearings and conferences. Duties: This position is located in the Information and Technology Division of the DC Courts. The position is part of Central Recording Branch (CENR). Incumbent manages the day-to-day operations of the Recording Technicians in the performance of their duties. Plans and assigns work schedules to ensure an even flow and distribution of work. Summary: An official court reporter is responsible for the verbatim reporting of proceedings held before United States District Judges and Magistrate Judges and for the transcription of those proceedings upon request. Duties: The successful candidate must possess excellent organizational skills to permit the production of transcript within strict time limitations, work well under pressure, be willing to work as part of a team of reporters under the direction of the Courtroom Services Supervisor in fulfilling the needs of all judicial officers of the court and possess excellent communication skills. In addition, the candidate must possess tact, judgment, poise, initiative, and maintain a professional appearance at all times. Qualifications: An applicant for appointment as an official court reporter in a United States District Court must possess as a minimum requirement at least four years of prime court reporting experience in a court, or in the free-lance field of service, or a combination thereof, and have qualified by testing for listing on the registry of professional reporters of the NCRA or passed an equivalent qualifying examination. Catalogues CDs and log notes; and maintains their proper storage. OFFICIAL COURT REPORTER: Superior Court. Kingman, Arizona. Summary: The Superior Court seeks to establish a hiring register of qualified candidates for the position of Official Court Reporter. Duties: Position is responsible for utilizing specialized equipment while performing professional verbatim reporting and transcribing services for all court proceedings, hearings, and conferences; reading back testimony from stenographic notes and transcripts, and replying to correspondence related to transcripts of proceedings. The position of Official Court Reporter is an unclassified position serving at the pleasure of a Superior Court Judge. STATE REPORTER: New York Unified Court System. Summary: Under the general supervision of the Court of Appeals, the State Reporter is responsible for all operations of the New York State Law Reporting Bureau. The State Reporter develops policy, implements work procedures, supervises all professional and clerical staff, and performs other related duties. Duties: Bids, negotiates and implements print and electronic publishing contacts. Develops the agency's budget, administrative procedures and policies. Manages the agency's day-to-day operations. Reviews editorial work prepared for inclusion in the official reports, and supervises the composition of indices and the compilation and publication of weekly advance sheets. REPORTER OF DECISIONS: Washington Courts, Supreme Court. Summary: Reporter of Decisions is a constitutional officer of the Washington Supreme Court responsible for the accurate and timely editing and publishing of appellate court opinions in both hard copy (52 advance sheets and 9 bound volumes per year) and on the Internet. The reporter also oversees publication of the Cumulative Subject Index. Approximately half of the reporter’s work is accomplished for the Court of Appeals. Duties: Supervises the day-to-day activities of the reporter’s office employees and monitors many of the duties of the private publisher’s employees assigned to the Washington official reports project. REPORTER SUPERVISOR: District

Summary: The Court
Reporter Supervisor assigns Official Court Reporters to

available. Duties: The
incumbent is responsible for monitoring the timely production of
