DUI COURT CASE MANAGER: Personnel Services Department, Forsyth County. Cumming, GA. Duties: Coordinates and organizes DUI court calendars; participates on the DUI court team which assesses and monitors participants; attends and participates at DUI court sessions; monitors defendants placed into DUI court; advises defendants of program requirements/conditions; conducts visual observations of defendants; confirms defendant’s residences, employment, or other situations; collects urine and saliva samples for drug and alcohol testing; administers drug and alcohol testing and interprets test results. Reports violations or cases of compliance/non-compliance to the court. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary, Hudson Vicinage, is searching for a self-starter to join the case management team in the Civil Division. CASE COORDINATOR: Central Intake Center, Family Court. 500 Indiana Ave., NW, Washington, D.C. Summary: Incumbent researches, identifies, reviews, and documents the existence and status of all cases presented in the Family Court Operations Division. Duties: Reviews abuse and neglect cases for compliance with federal and local Adoption and Safe Families Act (ASFA) with special focus on child abuse and neglect cases. Coordinates and facilitates the assignment of newly filed cases, serving as liaison between Judges, Magistrate Judges, the Clerk’s Office, Family Court Attorney Advisors, and Mayor’s Liaison Office as assigned. Monitors the progress of Family Court cases regularly and periodically reports to the Family Court Attorney Advisor regarding compliance with established ASFA guidelines. ELECTRONIC COURT REPORTER OPERATOR/CASE ADMINISTRATOR: United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona. Phoenix, AZ. Summary: This position is located in the Clerk’s Office of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona. The Electronic Court Recorder Operator/Case Administrator is responsible for making a verbatim recording of court proceedings and arranging for the production of written transcripts, as requested and manages a number of bankruptcy cases and related adversary proceedings from opening to final disposition, in accordance with approved internal controls, procedures, and rules. The incumbent also interacts with the public in person and on the telephone, judges and their staff, other clerk’s office staff and members of the bar. The start date is approximately April 27, 2009. Duties: Makes a verbatim record of court proceedings on PC based digital recording system. Creates detailed log notes of court proceedings and participants involved in court proceedings using an automated program. Receives and processes CD/tapes duplication and transcript production request orders. Catalogues CD/tapes and log notes and maintains their proper storage. Manages and maintains courtroom recording and sound equipment by monitoring operations of same. Performs cleaning and minor adjustments and notifies automation staff of needed repairs. Assists the courtroom deputy with courtroom duties, such as swearing-in witnesses, handling exhibits and calling the calendar. Efficiently manages bankruptcy cases and related adversary proceedings from opening to closing, including chapter conversions. SPECIAL CIVIL PART OFFICER: County of Hunterdon, Special Civil Part, Superior Court of New Jersey. Duties: To serve summonses and complaints in landlord/tenant actions and perform lockouts in eviction cases as ordered by the court. The officer will also serve post-judgment collection papers issued by the court and will post and conduct sales of goods and chattels. Requires maintenance of general ledger accounting records and disbursement of funds to creditors. All of the court officer’s activities must comply with the time restrictions contained in Part VI (Special Civil Part) of the New Jersey Rules of Court and the Administrative Directives. Qualifications: Appointee will have completed a minimum of 60 college credits with no less than 15 credits in criminal justice, business law or accounting or fulfill at least one of the following: employed full time no less than two years by an officer/process server of a New Jersey court; employed full time no less than two years as a police officer, probation officer, sheriff’s officer or equivalent in the State of New Jersey. DRUG COURT COORDINATOR: Montana. Summary: Performs professional advanced level work by providing support and managing projects for Montana’s drug courts. Work includes providing technical assistance to drug courts; collecting and analyzing drug court data; developing and coordinating training programs for drug court personnel; and serving as liaison with multiple state agencies to meet common objectives in providing services for those served by the drug courts. Work is performed under the supervision of the court services director. The employee is expected to exercise initiative and independent judgment in the management, coordination, administration, oversight, and evaluation of the drug court functions and activities in accordance with established statutes, court rules, policies, procedures, and regulations. Does not supervise other staff. Duties: Plans and develops statewide initiatives for drug courts. Identifies service needs or issues and develops appropriate responses. BRANCH SUPERVISOR COURTROOM SUPPORT BRANCH: Criminal Division, D.C. Courts. Summary: Incumbent manages the operations and supervises staff of Courtroom Support Branch, by assigning, directing and reviewing work, evaluating and assessing staff skills, planning and providing training, and recommending selection, promotion and disciplinary actions. Duties: Submits recommendations and procedures to improve the Branch’s overall operation. Instructs staff members on new policies and procedures. Supervises coverage of approximately twenty-eight (28) courtrooms daily. The incumbent must also analyze and interpret laws, and court procedures related to cases handled by the Division. IDENTITY CONSOLIDATION COURT: Clerk of the Superior Court, D.C. Courts. Summary: As a member of the newly established Identity Consolidation Unit of the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court, incumbent works with the court’s case management system, Courtview, and the Integrated Justice Information System to analyze cases and records to identify duplicate records and consolidate multiple identity records into a single identity record. Duties: Researches multiple identities by demographic information, and consolidates cases based on established criteria and independent judgment. Manages priority situations and sensitive issues, and cases requiring expedited information or action for managerial or judicial inquiries. Maintains, compiles and reports statistical information for review and evaluation. Enters case sensitive information on case identities to update the computer automated database. Assists staff from operating divisions, judicial officers and other government entities in confirming identities of cases known to the court, and provides ongoing information when requested. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, public or business administration, liberal arts, or a related degree or three years of relevant experience. COURT SERVICES MANAGER: U.S. District Court, Detroit, Michigan. Summary: This position is located in the Court Services department in Detroit, Michigan. The Court Services Manager reports to the Deputy Court Administrator and is responsible for providing administrative services to all Court units (Clerk’s Office, Probation Department and Pretrial Services Agency), judges and chamber’s staff. The administrative services include Procurement, Space and Facilities, and Finance. Duties: Supervises Court Services Specialist who provides administrative services to the Court Services Manager, Court Services Supervisor, Financial Supervisor and Space and Facilities Coordinator. Recommends personnel actions for those listed above including appointment, promotions, disciplinary actions and termination. Ensures that Court Internal Controls are accurate and audited on a regular basis. Makes recommendations for changes when necessary. Serves as senior liaison with the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Administrative Office (AO) with respect to the acquisition of additional space for tenant alterations and other reimbursable services by GSA. Supervises the Financial Supervisor who is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Financial Department and supervision of the Financial staff. Responsible for reporting and accounting for all money received in and processed through the Clerk’s Office in compliance with the Court’s internal control procedure. RELIEF COURTROOM DEPUTY: United States District Court, Southern District of Florida, Miami, FL. Summary: Duties: This position assists District and Magistrate Judges on a relief basis, as a substitute Courtroom Deputy when a Judge’s regular Courtroom Deputy is unavailable. Maintains control of records of cases assigned to the Judge. Examines all papers filed to determine that they conform with rules of practice. Calendars and regulates movement of cases by fixing, or resetting dates and times for hearings; and notifying counsel and other parties concerned. Prepares calendar and acts as liaison between the Judge and counsel. Prepares special reports for the Judge and Clerk’s Office on status of cases. CALENDAR COORDINATOR: Criminal Division, 500 Indiana Avenue, NW. Duties: Ensures all cases scheduled for Court have been updated completely and correctly by reviewing the Judicial Calendar in case management system (CourtView) by comparing docket entries and updates made to records. In cases of manually generated forms, ensures that the information on form and in Courtview matches. Generates daily quality control reports to track unresolved events, incomplete sentences/dispositions and cases with no disposition or no future event. Responsible for the daily accountability of defendants on lock-up and jail lists, ensuring proper processing of all defendants. Coordinates the accurate and timely preparation of lock-up lists and Prisoner Transfer Requests. Reviews and certifies Judgment and Commitment Orders. Qualifications: Six (6) years of clerical experience in a court or other criminal justice or legal environment, including at least two (2) years dealing with criminal matters. ARRAIGNMENT COURT COORDINATOR: Criminal Division, 500 Indiana Avenue, NW. Duties: Oversees the daily operations of C-10 arraignment/presentment court and the Intake Office, coordinating work assignments and assuring smooth, orderly and expeditious administration of courtroom operations. Orientates staff regarding new policies and procedures. Monitors work of staff for compliance with the division’s standards and goals. Makes assignments for deputy clerks, courtroom clerks and performs evaluations of work. Identifies and addresses training and development needs of the staff. Plans work schedules and shift rotations. Summary: The
Case Management Program Coordinator is responsible for
conducting a court initiated and legislatively authorized two
year pilot program for assessing the effectiveness of

Jersey, Cumberland/Gloucester/Salem Vicinage. Duties:
Under the general direction of the Division Manager and/or
Assistant, manages and coordinates the diversified work
activities of a team composed of professional, paraprofessional
and support staff working within a case processing division. The
selected individual will motivate and develop members of the
team in order to encourage cooperation, foster commitment, and
team spirit so that customers receive results in a timely
manner. This person will also identify and analyze problems in
order to implement and enforce court orders; supervise and
monitor offenders and manage caseloads. Performs related work as
required. Travel within the tri-county vicinage may be required.
Qualifications: Graduation
from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s
degree. Three years of increasingly responsible professional
experience, one year of which shall have included experience in:
Case management; or Supervision and Monitoring and Intervention
with offenders; or Enforcement of Court Orders; or Calendar
Management; or Program Administration including: developing,
analysis, implementation, administration or research. Applicants
who do not possess the required education may substitute
experience on a year-for-year basis. A Master’s degree may be
substituted for two years of general experience as indicated
above. Salary: $49,339.28 - $85,663.28. (2006)
COURT
EXECUTIVE 1B: Superior
Court of New Jersey
, Counties of Atlantic and Cape May. Summary: The
Judiciary of New Jersey, Atlantic/Cape May Vicinage, is seeking
an individual committed to the provision of quality service,
with strong leadership, administrative, communication and
writing skills, to serve as Court Executive 1b. Under the
general direction of Municipal Division Manager, this individual
assists in the administration and coordination of activities for
36 vicinage municipal courts, with concentration within
Cape May
County. Duties: Specific
duties include monitoring case processing and case flow
management; reviews municipal court budgets, provides training
and technical support, responds to public complaints; analyzes
programs to determine effectiveness or efficiency; conducting
quantitative or qualitative research of processes, programs or
projects, assisting in objectives for work performance and
explaining judiciary policies and procedures. Performs related
duties as required. Qualifications:
Graduation from
an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree.

planning, organizing, and coordinating program or case related

Arizona
Superior Court in Pima County. Summary: Directs
the calendar services division of court administration in the
Superior
Court
of
Pima
County. Plans, develops, coordinates, and directs court case
management issues in conjunction with the deputy court
administrator, court administrator, bench presiding judges and
the presiding judge. Duties:
Directs a calendar services staff consisting of a
supervisor and administrative support employees responsible for
preparing calendars for judicial divisions and overseeing court
case management activities. Develops division policies and
procedures to achieve compliance with court case management
goals. Monitors caseload and event statistics, recommends
appropriate changes to the deputy and court administrator and to
the proper bench presiding judge. Coordinates the development
and implementation of court case management software and process
improvements. Develops the annual division budget and monitors
the performance to budgetary guidelines. Acts as liaison between
the court and external agencies, government agencies, lawyers,
and judicial divisions regarding court case management issues.
Participates in planning sessions with the court administrator,
deputy court administrator, judges, division directors, and unit
supervisors to develop and implement new court case management
procedures. Identifies and evaluates significant trends and
develops procedural changes and/or recommendations to court
administration and the appropriate bench. Manages
the division by effectively allocating to staff workload
assignments. Participates in the recruitment, selection,
training, performance evaluation, and counseling of staff.
Coordinates the development and implementation of training
programs for staff and other court employees responsible for
court case management activities. Communicates regularly with
staff concerning court case management and procedural changes,
and other issues that may affect the division’s performance. Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
with a major in public or business administration, criminal
justice or a related field, AND
five years of professional experience in court case management
or in a legal setting, INCLUDING
two years supervisory and/or management experience. Preference will be given to applicants that have relevant court case
management experience in a trial court setting of general
jurisdiction. In addition, preference may be given to candidates
who have completed an Institute for Court Management
certification, or a Masters degree in a relevant field. Salary:

Texas. Summary: Performs
highly advanced consultative and technical assistance work. Consults with and provides technical assistance on court
administration matters to judges, clerks, court personnel, and
other county officials and staff, with primary emphasis on case
management. Conducts
case flow management system reviews in district and county-level
courts. Assists
courts in developing and implementing improved case management
systems. Provides
case management training. Develops
and implements court improvement projects and programs. Markets OCA
's technical assistance services, case management review
services, and court improvement projects and programs. Provides information on innovative court programs. Identifies emerging problems and trends in judicial
administration. Duties: Provides technical
assistance and consulting services to judges, clerks, court
personnel, and other county officials and staff on court
administration matters, with primary emphasis on case
management. Conducts on-site case management system reviews in
district and county-level courts, and prepares reports detailing
the findings and recommendations of the reviews. Assists courts
in developing and implementing improved case management systems.
Develops and provides training in case management principles,

the courts or to increase the accessibility of the courts.
Markets OCA
's technical assistance and consulting services, case management
review services, and court improvement projects and programs to
the courts. Identifies and contacts courts/counties for OCA
's technical assistance and consulting services, case management
system reviews, and court improvement projects and programs.
Assists in
OCA
's clearinghouse function by providing information on best
practices and innovative court programs in Texas
and other states. Identifies emerging problems and trends in
judicial administration. Analyzes quantitative and qualitative
data. Prepares detailed and comprehensive reports and memoranda.
Performs related work as assigned. Qualifications: Graduation
from an accredited four-year college or university. Major course work in judicial administration, public
administration, business administration, or a related field.
Experience may be substituted for education on a
year-for-year basis; and Six
years experience in court case management. Salary:
