ANALYST: (General Description) Summary: Produces a
wide range of complex projects that involve planning,
researching and analyzing court administration and operations
that result in improving and increasing the efficiency of court
operations. Duties: Analyzes court administration and operations and identifies
problems and solutions. Provides recommendations, prepares
reports and designs systems and procedures. Assists in
developing proposals and projects and making recommendations for
improving and increasing the efficiency of court operations.
Researches and develops grant proposals and requests to fund
special projects; and may participate in these projects, monitor
their progress and provide fiscal grant management. Conducts

recommendations. Staffs and participates in court committees,
task forces and work groups. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, court, business or public
administration or related field and four years of experience
involving data collection, research, analysis planning and
report writing. Knowledge of policy analysis and program
evaluation; grant research and proposal writing; data collection
and statistical analysis; and methods of short and long-term
planning.
TEMPORARY PROGRAMMER ANALYST: U.S. District Courts, Eastern District of Michigan. Detroit, MI. Summary: This position is located in the Information Technology (IT) Department of the Clerk’s Office located in Detroit, Michigan. The employee will develop applications for managing local data systems, custom interfaces for national systems, analyze manual processes and propose automated solutions within the Court. The employee will be a member of a group of IT support personnel and report directly to the Director of IT. Duties: Utilizes current technology in JavaScript, VBScript, PERL, CGI, Cold Fusion, PHP and Java programming to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of local and nationally developed systems of the Court family. Writes command language scripting in both Windows and Linux Redhat operating environments. Develops SQL scripts and shells to make effective use of information in existing systems databases. Teaches and coaches Court personnel in the effective use of automated resources. Assists in the installation of new or revised releases of national software. Monitors day-to-day operations of the locally and nationally supported programs and applications. Acts as the technical expert in solving computer application problems and assists the group with backup and recovery of applications as necessary. Prepares and maintains user manuals, user and technical documentation for locally-developed software used at the Court. Under the guidance and coaching of the Director of IT, advises Court managers on how to meet needs for sorting, recording and retrieving automated information, including the time and cost of processing the data; as well as identifying and developing applications to enhance effectiveness of personnel within the Court. Maintains a continuous improvement dialogue with IT personnel from other locations for the purpose of staying informed about new developments, techniques, and programs that might enhance the automation of the Eastern District of Michigan. Provides follow-up maintenance and support for existing applications in use within the Court system. Supports the conversion of existing local applications from older technologies and non-supported technologies using a defined project plan. Evaluates established Court processes and makes recommendations for automating processes. Works with Court staff to enhance web and other current applications. Provides guidance and oversight to others performing the automation of manual processes. Assists IT staff and unit managers with the creation of one-time and recurring reports. MANAGEMENT ANALYST: U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. Detroit, MI. Summary: The position is located in the Office of the Court Administrator of the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. The employee is a member of the management staff and reports directly to the Court Administrator. The employee provides a full range of administrative services to judicial officers, court unit executives and other management staff. Duties: Reviews, researches, develops and recommends policies for the Court; develops and administers procedures for implementing policies approved by the Court. Advises senior managers on administrative and procedural matters. Analyzes new and proposed legislation, changes in federal rules, Judicial Conference mandates and Administrative Office plans, policies and directives to identify necessary changes to local rules, policies or procedures. Qualifications: To qualify for the position of Management Analyst, a candidate must possess knowledge of general legal terminology, principles and practices, knowledge of the rules governing state and federal court practice and procedure; the ability to organize and summarize a wide variety of material and information; ability to draft correspondence and reports; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to organize and prioritize workload; ability to understand and follow written and oral directions; ability to work well with all levels of employees, management, and the public; and the ability to perform legal research and to present findings in a clear and concise manner. COURT SYSTEMS ANALYST: Judicial Branch Technology Project Support Section, Supreme Court of Nevada, AOC. Carson City, NV. Summary: This position is with the Administrative Office of the Courts, Judicial Branch Technology Project Support Section and will support the state-sponsored trial court Case Management System (CMS) and other software applications. Duties: Under the direction of senior level management, the successful candidate will identify enhancements, test, implement, train and support the CMS as well as other software applications; work with users to determine on-going requirements; develop training materials, including written documentation, educate court staff in the use of the various software applications through personal contact and helpdesk support, and perform other related work as assigned. This is a journey-level position and the incumbent is required to be fully competent to independently perform assigned duties. COURT ANALYST: New York Unified Court System. Summary: Court Analysts work under direct supervision, individually or on project teams, performing confidential analysis, research, planning, and other related duties in one or more of the following areas: budget development and court finance; personnel administration; resource allocation; and court system management and administration. ASSISTANT COURT ANALYST: New York Unified Court System. Summary: Assistant Court Analysts provide professional level assistance to Court Analysts and higher level personnel in the Analyst Series in projects involving personnel administration, resource allocation, budget development and court finance, administration and policy formation. They may perform as part of a project team where they may be assigned entering level professional tasks which, under supervision of a Court Analyst or Senior Court Analyst, are designed to enhance the professional growth of the employee. Junior Court Analysts participate in the analytical and decision making processes as a member of a team of Court Analysts and higher level personnel. ATTORNEY 1: Office of Trial Court Services, Municipal Court Services Division, AOC, Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an Attorney to work under the direction of the Court Executive 2b (Chief Municipal Court Services, Judiciary) or other supervisory personnel. Duties: This individual will review and analyze new legislation; assist in developing an “Electronic Municipal Court Bench Book”; prepare reports of findings from legal research; and review ordinances, statutes and regulations for inclusion in the ATS/ACS schedule via JUATS. COURT OPERATIONS ANALYST II: State Court Administration, Court Services Division, St. Paul, MN. Summary: Seeking a professional level analyst to provide support, information and advice to State Court Administration (SCAO) leadership, District Administrators, District court staff and Judicial Branch committees and workgroups. Position will primarily be assigned to mandated services programs (i.e., psychological services, jury management, interpreter programming, guardian ad litem and IFP) but may also be assigned to other projects or programs as the needs of the Branch dictate. Duties: Support and advise Judicial Branch committees and workgroups regarding mandated program policies, standard operating procedures and budget allocation and practices. Activities involve reporting findings on mandated program status and making recommendations for the development of statewide policy and standard practices. Staff committees and workgroups. ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST: Supreme Court, Oregon. Duties: The Chief Justice of the Oregon Supreme Court is the administrative head of the Oregon Judicial Department and appoints the State Court Administrator (SCA) to assist in its administration and carry out certain statutory functions and programs. Many of the administrative responsibilities and programs are further handled by the six Offices of the State Court Administrator (OSCA) divisions. The OJD operates as a centralized entity for state budget and resource management; however, has a decentralized statewide organization with court administration also carried out by local presiding judges appointed by the Chief Justice and trial court administrators appointed by the presiding judges. OJD places an emphasis on balancing local court and community needs while at the same time meeting the statewide duties and responsibilities of the Department as a state entity and branch of government. This position is located in the City of Portland and serves as a part of the professional staff of the Fourth Judicial District (Multnomah County). The Fourth Judicial District is presided over by the Hon. Jean Kerr Maurer, Presiding Judge. The Presiding Judge appoints the Trial Court Administrator. This position reports to the Trial Court Administrator for the Fourth Judicial District. This position operates under the supervision of the Trial Court Administrator and: Provides leadership and direction for the development, testing and maintenance of the three separate security, business continuity and emergency preparedness plans for the Fourth Judicial District. ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST 2: Appellate Court Operations Manager, Oregon Court of Appeals, Salem, OR. Duties: Typical job duties include, but are not limited to, the tasks listed below. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate work load and organizational needs. Participate as a member of the court’s senior management team; research, analyze, provide information and recommendations on administrative goals; develop forms, policies and procedures to achieve identified goals of the court. SENIOR
COURT SERVICES ANALYST: Court Interpreters Program, California Judiciary
San Francisco, CA. Summary: Become
a part of a dynamic program supporting language access to justice in the
most linguistically diverse state in the nation. The Senior Court Services
Analyst in the Court Interpreters Program of the Executive Office Programs
Division, Administrative Office of the Courts, will perform advanced
analytical and consultative work on a variety of court interpreter related
projects or services. Duties: Act as a lead on assigned projects,
ensuring that individual and team projects are completed on schedule and
within budget, and provide status updates to the CIP supervisor/manager;
Provide lead direction, training, and work review to other CIP staff.
Conduct and oversee studies and initiatives, including gathering data,

BUSINESS
ANALYST SPECIALIST V: Court
Services Department, AOC, Phoenix, AZ. Summary: This position
provides support to courts through project management, organizing, planning,
testing, rolling out and training new releases and modules of automated
court case management systems. Duties:
Essential functions include reviewing completed Remedy documentation and
solutions provided about and for the court case management system which
involve court operational procedures and ensuring that the answers and
solutions provided are correct, taking corrective action when necessary. Assisting
in standardizing the solutions portion of the systems. In-depth
research of problems courts encounter using court automation software.
Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining operational
procedures that will guide and assist courts in using court automation
software, testing these procedures, and publishing them on the web for easy
access. Other duties include assisting in table data definition,
testing new versions of AZTEC, and recommending procedures to be documented
for the courts. Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s
degree in Public or Judicial Administration, Criminal Justice, or related
field, and five years of relevant experience or the equivalent. The
ideal candidate will have professional level oral and written communication
skills, be able to multi-task, and possess the ability to provide highly
responsible administrative and technical work independently with minimal
supervision. The position requires travel to courts and training sites

A good working knowledge of AZTEC or case management systems, court

COURT
ANALYST: Douglas
County District Court, Omaha, Nebraska. Duties: Monitors and evaluates
caseflow-management policies and procedures. Prepares and oversees
case-management reports and analysis of case flow and delay reduction.
Monitors progress and disposition of District Court cases (a) assigned to
judges of other courts within the Fourth Judicial District and (b) assigned
to district-court judges from outside the Fourth Judicial District. Prepares
narrative and financial reports for various federal and state grants and
funding authorities. Assists Court Administrator with preparation and
monitoring of District Court budget, including review of expenditure
reports. Prepares written reports for various specialized court programs,
including fee collections and restitution payments. Provides oversight for
the District Court website, with responsibility for information content and
periodic updates. Prepares presentations, reports, and correspondence for
the Court. Performs general and legal research. Provides assistance and
support for court technology. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Prospective candidates should have a minimum of three years of
progressively responsible experience in case management, record keeping,
data collection and review, and statistical analysis. Familiarity with legal
terminology, court and government operations, and demonstrated ability to
understand and apply a body of rules, regulations, directives, or laws are
essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Judicial
Administration, Statistics, Systems Analysis, Political Science, or Criminal
Justice is required. A graduate degree in any area cited above, or a Juris
Doctor degree, is preferred. Successful completion of a pre-employment
drug-screening test and a criminal history background check is required.
BASIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: This position carries with it a great
deal of responsibility and requires a self-motivated person with a
professional attitude and the ability to work collaboratively. Court
Analysts provide professional level assistance and report directly to the
District Court Administrator on a daily basis. The candidate must have the
ability to organize, analyze, and interpret technical data regarding case
