COURT EXECUTIVE 2B: Information Technology Office, AOC, Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual with strong leadership skills and commitment to the provision of quality service. This individual is responsible for the design, development, administration, and continuous improvement of systems and applications supporting the State of New Jersey court system.   Duties: There will be broad opportunity to develop and implement project work schedules, define business strategies, manage diverse work groups, provide oversight of major systems development initiatives and participate in technology policy and strategy planning efforts.  Experience offered in multiple environments including enterprise servers, client-server, internet, intranet, and electronic commerce.  The selected individual will play a key role in transforming the organization making use of the latest technology and web-based solutions.  Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Five years of professional program management experience in information technology, three of which shall have included supervision of information technology staff and full project life cycle responsibility including: development requirements, analysis, design, testing, implementation; and associated staffing to accomplish project objectives. WEB SERVICES MANAGER: AOC, Carson City, Nevada. Summary: This position is with the Administrative Office of the Courts, Information Technology Web Services Division.  Reporting to the Judicial Branch Chief Information Officer (CIO), this position is responsible for the management and oversight of the Supreme Court’s internal and external Web sites and web portal capabilities. Duties: This includes the design, technical management, function, and visual integrity of the site.  This position contributes to the overall strategy of the Information Technology Web Services Unit and is responsible for recommending and implementing changes in content, visual design, and navigation. The Manager of Web Services works closely with the Web Managing Editor in the Public and Governmental Affairs Unit as well as with support personnel within Information Technology, and will perform other work as assigned.  This position is located in Carson City, Nevada. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with major course work in computer science or information systems, or equivalent.  To work within the existing framework of the intranet and internet websites, the candidate must possess a minimum of five years of professional experience with:  Windows Server, Apache HTTP Server 2.0, XHTML, CSS, PHP 4 or greater, Macromedia Studio, Dreamweaver, MYSQL, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, JavaScript, and XML/XSLT.  Also must have experience with editing HTML and image editing, an understanding of information architecture and Web usability principles, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure. MIS DIRECTOR, AOC: Supreme Court of Oklahoma, State Office, Oklahoma City.  Summary: Immediate opening for the position of Director of Management Information Systems for the Oklahoma Supreme Court.  Duties: At the direction of the Chief Justice and the Court Administrator, the MIS Director plans, directs and coordinates activities of information services to ensure that goals or objectives of this service are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.  The MIS department is responsible for planning, developing, and managing systems that support case flow, office automation, special programs, and management operations.  The Department designs and administers system configuration and architecture including hardware and software, network operations, desktop systems, and system security.  The MIS Director coordinates statewide Court information technology and business life-cycle management activities, including building and maintaining an information technology infrastructure, directing future IT investments including the selection and implementation of a new statewide case management system, providing leadership for the Court’s IT planning, and ensuring interoperability of the Court’s systems.  The MIS Director will advise the Court on IT planning, acquisition, management, use, control, and alignment with organizational strategies and priorities.  The MIS Director will also provide overall executive leadership for the MIS Department.  Qualifications: A successful applicant will possess a relevant B.A. and computer related expertise and experience, at least two years of which should be in a supervisory capacity. INFORMATION ANALYST 1, 2, 3: Information Technology Office, AOC, Trenton, NJ. Duties: The selected individual will work in a client server and an enterprise service zOS 1.8 SYSPLEX environment with the opportunity to install and maintain multi-platform technology including but not limited to: TSO/E, SMP/E, SDSF, DFSMS, WLM, Parallel Sysplex, FDR, FDRABR, DSF, Workload Manager, CICS/DB2, OMEGAMON, RMM, ICF Catalogs, RACF, HDS 9900, IBM SHARK, IBM VTS/ATL, Mainframe UNIX, Tivoli Workload Scheduler. COURT SYSTEMS ANALYST I/II: Administrative Office of the Courts, Supreme Court of Nevada, Carson City, NV. Summary: This position is with the Administrative Office of the Courts, Judicial Branch Technology Project Support Section and will support the state-sponsored trial court Case Management System (CMS) and other software applications. Duties: Under the direction of senior level management, the successful candidate will enhance, test, implement, train and support the CMS as well as other software applications; work with users to determine on-going system requirements; develop training materials, including written documentation, educate court staff in the use of the various software applications through personal contact and helpdesk support, and perform other related work as assigned. This is a journey-level position and the incumbent is required to be fully competent to independently perform assigned duties. Incumbent will work on other major projects as part of a team and may be solely responsible for smaller projects. COURT SYSTEMS ANALYST III: Administrative Office of the Courts, Supreme Court of Nevada, Carson City, NV. Summary: This position is with the AOC, Judicial Branch Technology Project Support Section and will primarily support the advancement of technology at the local level. Duties: Under direction of senior level management, the successful candidate will provide daily assistance in the assessment, operation, documentation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and enhancement of two mission-critical software applications, the Multi-County Integrated Justice Information System (justice information exchange application) and the Nevada Courts System (data management software), the incumbent will analyze, design, develop, test, document, maintain and implement justice information exchanges between courts and state agencies. Qualifications: Candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree with major course works in computer science or information systems, and/or related professional certification(s) and three years experience in software analysis, design and development, database and system administration and implementation of large technology projects. Five additional years of experience may be substituted for college degree. Court experience is desirable. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of XML and its related technologies. DEPUTY STATE COURT ADMINISTRATOR FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: Administrative Office of the Courts, Lincoln, NE. Summary: The person in this position will be responsible for developing long-range plans and programs related to overall policy directions and organizational goals and will oversee the development, integration, and maintenance of the Nebraska Supreme Court’s complex information technology systems. Duties: Manage the information systems staff responsible for supporting the State's multiple jurisdiction courts including the selection, supervision, training, and evaluation of professional staff. Work to implement best practices from lessons learned and coach and mentor other project team members. Develop tactics and strategies to enhance information technology efficiency and effectiveness, research new or emerging technology, initiate innovative uses and integration of data systems and advocate for required changes in the areas of principles, policies and design. Establish and maintain an infrastructure to support information systems within the Court and with other local, state, and federal agencies where appropriate. Develop, implement, and maintain the Court's policies and procedures covering information technology, the privacy and security of all protected information, and appropriate access to public information. Oversee software procurement, development and documentation. Develop and administer the informational technology plans and budgets for the Court and identify and seek funding, including grants, for program activities. Draft product specifications, negotiate the purchase and oversee the testing and implementation of new products. Undertake specified projects and direct task forces for the Court and/or Probation Administrator or designee, including program evaluation and policy analysis. Qualifications: Graduation from a 4 year college or university with major course work in Information Systems Management, computer science, public administration, business management, political science, or criminal justice AND Six(6) years professional level experience in information technology, project management, system modeling and design, data base administration or systems analysis and operations, INCLUDING four(4) years in supervisory capacity; demonstrated knowledge in program or project management methods; sound knowledge of technology and justice area; ability to work effectively with a variety of constituents; considerable experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work in a public or private organization, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, and procurement; advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Management Information Systems or a related field, and graduation as an ICM Fellow preferred. Qualified candidates should have 5-7 years of experience in IT preferably in a justice/legal environment. DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION SERVICES: State of California, Administrative Office of the Courts. Summary: Under policy direction, directs the personnel and programs of a division of the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC); performs related work as assigned. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ANALYST 3: New Jersey Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection, AOC, Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual to manage computer operations for the New Jersey Lawyers’ Fund for Client Protection. COURT EXECUTIVE 3A: IT Office, AOC, Trenton, New Jersey. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary offers an opportunity for an experienced technical manager to join our Information Technology Office. Reporting to senior IT management, this key leadership position will hold responsibility for large-scale IT application development and new technology reengineering projects in support of the operations of the New Jersey courts. Duties: The selected candidate will oversee several large project teams that are actively engaged in a challenging transition to web based applications. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking individuals to work in developing enterprise level applications using object-oriented analysis and design techniques within a structured life cycle methodology. Duties: The selected individuals will develop web and client/server applications supporting court case processing, attorney electronic filing and document imaging functions. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a candidate to work under the direction of the Court Executive 2b, Manager IT Operations or other supervisory personnel. Duties: The selected individual will support the Network Control Center in our 7/day 24/hour Data Center in a Statewide Frame Relay and ATM Network utilizing Cisco routers and switches and HP Openview. CJIS PROGRAMMER: Administrative Office of the Courts, Twentieth Judicial Circuit, FL. Summary: Develops / Modifies CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Systems) computer reports and administers daily production processes of CJIS applications and server systems in support of the Consortium. Duties: The CJIS Programmer works on projects analyzing user requirements to design Crystal Reports and data merged MS Office documents; prepares technically detailed documentation for user instructions, production processes, and other programming documentation. DIRECTOR, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DIVISION/CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER (CIO): IT Division, Office of the State Court Administrator, Oregon. Summary: The CIO provides technology leadership and vision for the Oregon Judicial Department (OJD). The CIO oversees policy development collaboratively sets priorities for investment, and leads strategic planning and implementation for enterprise information technology initiatives. Duties: The CIO is responsible for the technology planning and development processes and reporting requirements for the judicial branch. The advancement of technology in the judicial branch is facilitated through a central technology governance committee structure consisting of members representing the trial and appellate courts, administration, and the Oregon State Bar. The CIO is responsible for executing policy decisions made by the committee as affirmed by the Chief Justice and State Court Administrator, and for the proper planning, design, development, and execution of technological resources within the judicial branch to provide the judiciary with secure access to relevant information from multiple local, state, and federal sources. As the OJD’s CIO, the incumbent will ensure that information technology resource planning and execution takes place in a collaborative and coordinated manner through the OJD. In this role, the incumbent will lead OJD’s statewide enterprise IT strategic and tactical planning by identifying and ensuring that IT business requirements, strategic plans, and solutions are properly integrated with the overall mission and needs of the OJD.
