ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST 1 (CONFIDENTIAL): Office of Management & Administrative Services, Human Resource Division, Administrative Office of the Courts. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a detail-oriented individual to perform a variety of administrative clerical tasks in the Placement Section of the Human Resources Division. Duties: The selected clerk notices of vacancy to approximately 120 ABA-approved law schools; compile and distribute volumes of qualified law clerk resumes to justices and judges; prepare and process new hire packages for all newly hired law clerks on the budget payroll; advise managers, staff and applicants of the appropriate application of specific rules and policies regarding the program; provide information and assistance to managers, staff and applicants regarding all aspects of law clerk recruitment. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B: Office of Management & Administrative Services, Human Resources Division, Labor and Employee Relations Unit, AOC. Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual with strong management and legal skills to serve under the general direction of the Court Executive 3b (Assistant Director of Human Resources). HUMAN RESOURCE ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR: Administrative Office of the Courts, Olympia, Washington. Duties:   Responsible for the management of the Human Resource section for the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). Responsibility includes providing consultation and recommendation on organizational management issues to the Administrative Office of the Courts Leadership Team, the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Clerk’s Office, Commissioner’s Office, Reporter of Decision’s Office and the Law Library.  Serves as a member of the AOC Leadership Team. Reporting to the State Court Administrator, responsible for the management, support, development and implementation of human resource programs, policies and procedures, consultation and recommendations for organizational management issues for the Administrative Office of the Courts.    Provides consultation and assessment of human resource issues and organizational management issues to the Supreme Court Personnel Committee affecting the Supreme Court and its departments. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree with focus on business, human resources, social or organizational behavioral sciences, or related field AND ten years of broad-based professional human resource experience, including facilitating organizational development or change, and advising and consulting on human resource issues. Relevant professional human resource related experience may be substitute year for year for education requirement. HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT: Idaho Judicial Branch. Summary: Provides administrative assistance to the Human Resource Manager. Duties: General duties (answer telephones, field and respond to calls/inquiries; schedule meetings/teleconferences; take minutes; type minutes and reports, arrange travel & accommodations; coordinate schedules; maintain files; transcribe dictation; schedule committee meetings, etc.). Provides information and forms for employment applicants; assists with screening applications; sets up interview dates and time; and checks references. Processes applications for leave and documents for new hires, promotions, terminations and reclassifications.  Maintains personnel files; assists with coordination of new employee orientation; coordinates benefits enrollment, payroll processing, and balancing leave accruals.  Verifies employee attendance records for accuracy and appropriate documentation.  Assists new employees with preparation of forms and orients them on benefits and policies.  Answers employee questions regarding insurance, retirement, employee assistance and other benefits. Scans or creates image documents.  Prepares spreadsheets, reports and forms used for payroll tracking, budget analysis, personnel data, and management. HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER: AOC, Idaho Judiciary. Summary: Under guidance and direction of the Administrative Director of the Courts and the Deputy Administrative Director of the Courts, directs the human resources function for the Idaho Judiciary, including recruitment and retention of court employees, compensation, classification, and benefits administration, workforce planning, fair employment practices, employment law compliance, and organizational development. Duties: Creates and implements rules, policies, procedures, and programs necessary to the effective operation of the Judicial Branch; communicates and gathers input from appropriate agencies and staff and reviews results; facilitates collaboration from all involved. SUPERVISOR I: Colorado Judicial Branch, Combined Clerk of Court Office Fort Collins, CO. COURT EXECUTIVE 2B (HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER): Administrative Office of the Court, New Jersey Judiciary, Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a customer-service oriented human resources manager with strong analytical and communication skills to direct recruitment and classification for the Judiciary’s 9,000 employees. This position supervises staff in the Administrative Office of the Court’s Placement and Classification Sections and provides recruitment and classification guidance to the 15 vicinage (trial court) Human Resources Offices. ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR 3 (CONFIDENTIAL): Office of Attorney Ethics, AOC, West Trenton, New Jersey. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary, Office of Attorney Ethics, is seeking a supervisory professional possessing strong administrative, financial management and communication skills. This individual will be expected to coordinate and oversee human resource functions, support staff operations, facility issues and purchasing; as well as recommend and implement improvements in administrative procedures and effectively manage multiple and diverse projects. Duties: The selected individual will assist Human Resources (HR) representatives with clerical tasks and payroll and benefits issues, and will be responsible for completing and processing position and employee transactions through the Personnel Management Information System (PMIS) and the Judicial Human Resources Information System (JHRIS). The successful candidate will be responsible for interacting with Judiciary employees; answering routine employee inquiries involving payroll and benefits issues and procedures; typing routine letters, correspondence and forms; and maintaining accurate logs for timely processing and tracking of forms and documents. Additional duties include salary verification for promotional increases and new hires; recording the use of leave in the Time and Leave Reporting System (TALRS) for the Unit; assisting in other TALRS duties and report distribution as needed; and assisting in the maintenance and purging of employee personnel files in accordance with Judiciary records management guidelines. Qualifications: One year of experience in an office environment performing a variety of clerical and support services to include keyboarding and one or more of the following: document or information processing, handling payments for fees, recording monies received, transcribing information, reconciling balances or accounts, scheduling meetings or appointments. Applicants scheduled to interview must pass an appointing authority administered examination to demonstrate keyboarding skills at the Judiciary standard of at least 25 wpm, or must have otherwise demonstrated this competency as detailed below. They keyboarding authority administered examination is waived for the following applicants who have been deemed to possess keyboarding skills at the Judiciary standard of 25 wpm: All applicants who possess a current typing proficiency certification issued by the New Jersey Department of Personnel; Judiciary staff who have permanent status in a career service title requiring a keyboarding, typing or stenography test. Judiciary staff in unclassified titles requiring a keyboarding, typing or stenography test. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access, New Jersey State Centralized Payroll procedures and computer applications, and the Department of Personnel’s PMIS system, as well as the ability to work independently are helpful. ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST: Office of Management and Administrative Services, HR Division, AOC, Trenton, NJ. Summary: The AOC Human Resources Division is seeking a self-motivated analyst with strong analytical and organizational skills, an eye for detail, a customer service philosophy and the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment. Duties: This position, located in the Classification Section, is responsible for planning the implementation of broad-band classification system projects and programs including: conducting organizational and individual classification surveys; analyzing data from human resources and classification data bases and recommending changes as required; creating and administering classification data bases and administrative control systems; developing and maintaining job specifications; preparing presentations and other training and education materials and programs; and other related duties. Qualifications: Administrative Specialist 4: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Five years of professional experience in the area of Human Resources: classification; salary administration; labor/employee relations; training; selection/recruitment; payroll processing; benefits administration; or Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action. Salary: $54,180.62 - $84,438.98. Administrative Specialist 3: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree. Salary: $40,866.94 - $66,283.96. Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute paraprofessional and professional experience for education on a year-for-year basis. A master’s degree may be substituted for one year of experience as indicated above. A law degree may be substituted for two years of experience as indicated above.
