Center for Families, Children & the Courts has a temporary
Senior Business Applications Analyst opening in the Southern
Regional Office of the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC).
This Senior Business Applications Analyst position will work on
the California Court Case Management System (CCMS), which is a
statewide initiative to bring the courts together to use one
application for all case types. Development began in 2002 and
implementation is planned through 2012. The CCMS application
includes Criminal and Traffic, Civil, Small Claims and Probate;
and Family Law, Juvenile and Mental Health case types. Duties:
Under the supervision of the CFCC Supervising Research
Analyst and joint direction of CFCC and CCMS management, this

COURT
SERVICES ANALYST: Court Interpreters Program, California Judiciary
San Francisco, CA. Summary:
Become a part of a dynamic program supporting language
access to justice in the most linguistically diverse state in
the nation. The Senior Court Services Analyst in the Court
Interpreters Program of the Executive Office Programs Division,
Administrative Office of the Courts, will perform advanced
analytical and consultative work on a variety of court
interpreter related projects or services. Duties: Act as
a lead on assigned projects, ensuring that individual and team
projects are completed on schedule and within budget, and
provide status updates to the CIP supervisor/manager; Provide
lead direction, training, and work review to other CIP staff.

ANALYST SPECIALIST V: Court
Services Department, AOC, Phoenix, AZ. Summary:
This position provides support to courts through project
management, organizing, planning, testing, rolling out and
training new releases and modules of automated court case
management systems. Duties:
Essential functions include reviewing completed Remedy
documentation and solutions provided about and for the court
case management system which involve court operational
procedures and ensuring that the answers and solutions provided
are correct, taking corrective action when necessary. Assisting
in standardizing the solutions portion of the systems.
In-depth research of problems courts encounter using court
automation software. Additional responsibilities include
developing and maintaining operational procedures that will
guide and assist courts in using court automation software,
testing these procedures, and publishing them on the web for
easy access. Other duties include assisting in table data
definition, testing new versions of AZTEC, and recommending

Jersey Judiciary is searching for a candidate to join a case
processing team in the Appellate Division. The selected
individual will be responsible for the management of a caseload
of appeals from docketing until ready for calendaring and post
judgment activity; analyzing, monitoring and processing appeals
in accordance with court rules and established practices;
setting priorities and organizing work to ensure efficiency;
processing motions and issuing appropriate orders; maintaining
the automated docket for all appeals; responding to inquiries

is responsible professional work performing complex analytical

variety of court management studies and projects. An employee
assigned to a position in this class is responsible for
research techniques and design, data collecting and selecting
the methods of data collection and presentation. Duties: Recommendations

delivery of court services. A Senior Court Analyst II may also
act as a project leader in developing and implementing new
court programs, and providing technical assistance to the

SENIOR
COURT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST: Arizona Supreme Court, Phoenix,
Arizona. Summary: This
position administers a wide range of complex
projects that involve planning, researching and
analyzing court administration and operations in
order to implement statewide strategic agenda
initiatives. This position will provide high
level support, perform research and provide
information to committees as directed. This
position will work in tandem with a second Sr.
Court Management Specialist to coordinate the
implementation of CourTools; work with the court
community to implement programs that will
guarantee the availability of qualified language
interpreters for non-English speaking litigants;
and staff a new state level committee on
victim's rights. Duties:
Some
essential functions of the job include analyzing
court processes to identify problems, providing
recommendations and preparing reports,
developing projects to improve court operations,
researching and developing grant proposals,
conducting studies involving data collection and
analysis, developing statewide training
curriculum, and serving as an educational
faculty or facilitator. In addition, this
position fosters and maintains cooperative

of Trial Court Services, Municipal Court Services Division,
AOC, New Jersey Judiciary. Duties: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual to design
reports and analyze municipal court data including data
required under N.J.S.A. 26:2B-35; draft budgets and quarterly
reports for grant administration; attend various committee and
subcommittee meetings and prepare minutes as necessary. The
selected individual will also respond to requests for
technical information from Judges, Division Managers, court
staff and the public; and assist with the design and

Websites. Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a

RESEARCH ANALYST:
Judicial
Council of California, Office of Court Research,
Executive Office Program Division, San
Francisco, California. Summary: The Research Analyst position, in the Office of
Court Research, with the Executive Office
Programs Division, will work on a wide range
of projects including studies of workload, the
development of performance measures, data
improvement, jury management, the utilization of
court interpreters, and drug-court evaluation.
In consultation with subject matter experts,
analysts are expected to design research
strategies, develop questionnaires and surveys,
manage and evaluate projects. Duties:
Research Design-This involves meeting with subject-matter
experts to learn about policy questions
currently under consideration and develop
research strategies to address these
questions. Research design requires
creativity in constructing surveys to
collect primary data and/or identifying
existing data sources that can guide policy.
Understanding the strengths and weaknesses
of different methodologies and working
within tight timeframes is critical; Data
Collection and Data Management: This
includes conducting data collection via
different qualitative and quantitative
modes; providing training for court staff in
data collection requirements, developing
analysis plans, designing and managing
specified databases, and establishing data
quality control practices and procedures;
Collaboration in the Development of Research

with other analysts as well as
subject-matter experts in all phases of

account data limitations and time

COURT
PROGRAMS AND MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST: AOC, Raleigh, North
Carolina. Summary: The
person in this position will provide court administration and
management services to the trial courts of North Carolina
through operational and policy analysis; program design,
development and oversight; and technical assistance and
consultation regarding case management and court operations.
The person in this position evaluates program
administration and court management practices that affect the
function of the trial courts such as Family Courts, Drug
Treatment Courts, Interpreter Services, Child Custody and
Visitation Mediation Services, Court-Ordered Arbitration, and
jury management. Duties:
Provide
analysis, workflow and management technical assistance, and
assistance in implementation to trial court officials for
statewide directives and local projects; perform workflow
studies in clerks of court offices; assist trial court officials
to design and implement Family Courts; provide statewide
oversight and monitoring of specialty courts and specialized
services; assist court officials and specialty court staff to
develop local rules, and operating and/or policy guidelines;
design and assist in presenting educational programs on case
management and best practices models for specialty courts for
AOC staff, court officials, and their respective support staff.
The position requires frequent state-wide travel.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s
degree in court administration, public administration, human
services, political science or business administration and six
years of experience in court or related program administration;
prefer a juris doctorate or master’s degree in court
administration, human services or public administration, and
five years of experience in court administration or related
program administration.

SENIOR COURT
MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST: Arizona Supreme Court, Phoenix,
Arizona. Summary:
This
position administers a wide range of complex
projects that involve planning, researching and
analyzing court administration and operations in
order to implement statewide strategic agenda
initiatives. This position will provide high
level support, perform research and provide
information to committees as directed. This
position will work in tandem with a second Sr.
Court Management Specialist to coordinate the
implementation of CourTools; work with the court
community to implement programs that will
guarantee the availability of qualified language
interpreters for non-English speaking litigants;
and staff a new state level committee on
victim's rights. Duties:
Some
essential functions of the job include analyzing
court processes to identify problems, providing
recommendations and preparing reports,
developing projects to improve court operations,
researching and developing grant proposals,
conducting studies involving data collection and
analysis, developing statewide training
curriculum, and serving as an educational
faculty or facilitator. In addition, this
position fosters and maintains cooperative
working relationships within the criminal
justice community and other governmental and
private agencies in order to achieve general
organizational and specific project goals.
Successful candidates should have the ability to
staff, coordinate and facilitate Supreme Court
committees comprised of Judges, Court
Administrators, Clerks of Court, as well as
other criminal justice system stakeholders and
the public. Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a related field and
graduation from an accredited four year college
or university with a major in public or judicial
administration, criminology, systems analysis,
political science or a related social science.
Seven years experience in a variety of court
management positions, including three years
experience in court administration, operations
or consulting; knowledge of management planning
and research principles, methods and techniques;
excellent oral and written communication skills;
and excellent project management skills and
experience. Graduation from the NCSC Court Executive
Development Program (CEDP); mid-to higher-level
management experience in a general jurisdiction
court; and knowledge of the rights afforded to
victims in the court system. Salary: $75,000.

ASSOCIATE: Virginia
Supreme Court, Richmond, VA. Duties:
working with project teams to develop
statistical models of judicial sentencing
practices, to identify risk factors associated
with the likelihood of offender recidivism, to
conduct impact analysis of proposed policy
changes, to develop sampling, data collection
and analysis plans for special projects, and to
present qualitative and quantitative research
results using various software
applications. Qualifications:
Proficiency in the theory and application of
multivariate statistical analysis techniques and
social science research methods, experience with
the application of statistical analysis software
such as SPSS or SAS, and ability to effectively
communicate, both orally and in writing, complex
information to various audiences. An advanced
degree in a social science discipline is
desirable. Prior experience working with large

Court of Nevada. AOC. Duties: This
position is an executive position within the Administrative
Office of the Courts (AOC), a division of the Nevada Supreme
Court. Under the
direction of the AOC Director, this position is responsible
for the Planning and Analysis division, and the Court Services
unit of the AOC, their functions and operations.
The incumbent will oversee the Uniform System for
Judicial Records, Court Improvement Projects, Court
Interpreters, Judicial Council Committees, Domestic Violence
and other tasks and activities related to the general and
limited jurisdiction courts. Other related position responsibilities may include
representing the AOC and Supreme Court to the Legislature and
other government entities; developing and implementing
policies of the AOC and Supreme Court; developing and
administering grants; and representing the Director of the
Administrative Office of the Courts in his absence; and other
responsibilities and tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Equivalent
to possession of a bachelors degree in a related field
(criminal justice, court, business or public administration)
and 8 years of increasingly responsible experience in a
relevant field, including a minimum of 5 years of increasingly
responsible management experience. Experience in a related field may be substituted for
the education on a year-for-year basis.
Court experience and possession of a post-graduate
degree in an appropriate field is desirable.
