ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST 1 (CONFIDENTIAL): Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen Vicinage. Duties: Under the direction of a Court Executive, this customer service and detail-oriented individual will provide clerical and administrative support to any umber of functions within the vicinage’s divisions. JUDICIARY CLERK 3: New Jersey Judiciary, AOC, HR Division. Summary: The Human Resources division, Placement Section, is seeking an individual with strong customer service and organizational skills to perform clerical tasks associated with the recruitment and selection process. ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST 2: Superior Court of New Jersey, Union County. Duties: Under the direction of the Court Executive 2b (General Operations Division Manager) provides technical, specialized functions related to Pro Bono assignments to attorneys and fee-generating matters for the Union vicinage. Coordinates activities for interpreters unit as well as maintenance of the Pro Bono database. Compiles statistical reports on programs assigned. Answers questions from both internal as well as external customers. Prepares vendor payment vouchers and maintains accurate account payments. Serves on committee or task forces as necessary. CLERICAL ASSISTANT: Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth Vicinage. Summary: The Monmouth Vicinage is seeking a dynamic customer service oriented individual to provide a variety of administrative and clerical services related to the vicinage EEO/AA program. Duties: Under the direction of the Court Executive 1b (EEO/AA Officer), the selected candidate will assist with organizing recruitment and community outreach efforts and special projects; develop a calendar of events; provide support to committees; perform customer services duties to include interacting with judges, court personnel and the public at large; assist with preparing statistical data and research reports; assist in the creation of a web page. Duties: Performs a full range of supervisory and advanced level legal office work for the Clerk of the Superior Court’s office. Qualifications: Requires any acceptable combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation or GED and four years of progressively responsible administrative support experience. Desire a minimum of 3 years experience in the Clerk of Superior Court’s office or related work environment. OFFICE ASSISTANT SENIOR – OPTION A (GENERAL): Mohave County Probation, Kingman, AZ. Duties: Advanced journey level position providing specialized office support for the Mohave County Probation department. Qualifications: Successful candidate should possess high school diploma or equivalent, three years of progressively responsible office clerical experience, and the ability to keyboard at 60 wpm. The successful candidate should possess excellent customer service and organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and maintain confidentiality. Duties: Under the direction of the Division Manager or other high level supervisory officer, performs specialized court functions relating to the management of the judge’s calendar and the procedural stages of case processing, including but not limited to attendance at Court. Performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and support tasks in connection with proceedings instituted before the courts of justice or programs administered under the supervision of the courts. ACCOUNT CLERK: Billings Municipal Court, MT. Summary: Billings Municipal Court is seeking a friendly, dynamic, customer service-oriented individual to provide administrative support in the Court Clerk’s Office. Duties: Duties will include assisting court customers, handling incoming telephone inquiries, accepting and posting payments, facilitating enrollment in court-ordered programs, scheduling, courtroom support, filing and docket maintenance. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent education and minimum of two years customer service-related experience required. Clerical, cash-handling and multi-phone line experience preferred. RECORDS TECHNICIAN: Court Services, Alachua County, FL. Qualifications: Graduation from high school or equivalent, and one year general office/clerical and/or customer service experience; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. College course work will substitute for experience on a year for year basis. This position requires a net passing speed of 35 wpm on the County’s typing test and the completion of the Microsoft Word standard skills check. Successful completion of a criminal history background investigation is required prior to employment. FCIC Certification must be obtained within six months of hire date. COURT SUPERVISOR: Winchester, Colorado. Summary: This position is responsible for supervisory and technical work with primary duties in the reporting of the Court financial and collections records. In conjunction with the supervisory team this position is responsible for directing day-to-day activities of the Municipal Court staff. Duties include but are not limited to cashiering, coordinating and overseeing computer operations and procedures of NCIC/CCIC records through CBI, assisting with the development and maintenance of the Court records management system, public contact and assistance with the daily operations of the Municipal Court. Duties include all financial aspects of the court including investigating defendants for eligibility for payment plans on monies assessed by the Court and balancing all daily receipts and preparing daily transmittals for the Finance Department. Work involves responsibility for organizing, directing and coordinating, under the direction of the Court Administrator, the activities of staff engaged in processing all Municipal Court cases. Work is performed independently and requires considerable use of initiative and judgment. Work is reviewed by the Court Administrator through conferences, observations and evaluation of results obtained. Duties: In conjunction with the Deputy Court Administrator and Probation Services Coordinator, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of staff employed in the operation of the Municipal Court under the direction of the Court Administrator. Oversee that policies and procedures set by Municipal Court Judge, Court Administrator, state statutes and local ordinances are adhered to in the daily operation of court. Interview and recommend hiring of personnel that the position supervises. Supervise, instruct and train in policy and procedure, evaluate staff and initiate disciplinary action. Review procedures and operations and make recommendations for modification and/or improvements. Serve as back up for Deputy Court Administrator including supervision of staff. Act as NCIC/CCIC coordinator for Municipal Court according to the guidelines of the Colorado Bureau of Investigations. Oversee training of staff and operations of CBI/NCIC/CCIC. Prepares and maintains related reports, files and records as necessary. Performs related work as required. Qualificatons: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Accounting, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Court Management or an equivalent of related education and experience is required. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: City of San Antonio, Texas. Summary: Under direction, is responsible for performing a wide variety of professional administrative duties in support of the activities and services of an assigned department; coordinates office services and provides information and assistance to the public regarding the assigned department or division. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I (Unclassified) - New Jersey Judiciary - Middlesex Vicinage, New Brunswick, NJ.  Duties: Under direction of the Vicinage Finance Manager, acts as principal assistant to ensure effective and efficient financial operations within several court divisions.  Oversees the collection of court revenues and escrow funds, assists in the development of financial policies and procedures, prepares periodic financial reports and reconciliations, assists in preparing the annual budget and spending plans, and performs related work as required.  Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a bachelor's degree.  Experience: Three years of professional experience involving the development, implementation, coordination, analysis and evaluation of fiscal, personnel, organizational and/or administrative support systems.  Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional experience as indicated above on a year-for-year basis.  A master's degree in business administration, public administration, management or other closely related field may be substituted for one year of non-supervisory experience.  Annual salary range:  $37,000 - $62,000. (1998)

COURT ADMINISTRATION TRAINEE (ASSISTANT MANAGER) -- Civil Trial Division, Court of Common Pleas, First Judicial District of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.  Summary: Provides administrative, clerical and secretarial support to the Civil Trial Division's Manager at the Complex Litigation Center.  Duties:  include scheduling of court events, reviewing, processing, docketing and/or indexing of legal documents and other related data entry, as well as general office duties associated with Civil Administration.  Prepares, reviews and, as appropriate, responds to correspondence.  Requires two years of court administration experience, or paralegal civil trial experience, or equivalent experience.  Annual salary range:  $28,293 - $31,008.  (1998)

DISTRICT COURT ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT--Northeast Judicial District, North Dakota. Summary: The incumbent assists the presiding judge in coordinating and monitoring court administrative activities, including the development and recommendation of reports relating to policies and procedures and the monitoring of fiscal, docket caseflow, jury, court records, and other district court functions. Duties: include preparing initial judicial district budget; approving and monitoring expenditures to ensure proper management and distribution of funds; procuring equipment and supplies; and preparing financial reports at the direction of the presiding judge. The incumbent also regularly contacts officials with the courts, justices, and related state and county agencies, and serves as an information resource on particular aspects of the court system, answering the inquiries of judges, court personnel, media, and the public. Qualifications: a bachelor's degree in judicial administration, business administration, public administration, or a related area; one year of administrative experience in a court or related setting. Starting salary: $2,096 monthly. (1994)

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT I--Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage, Newark. Duties: assist management in court operation and administration in the finance unit; provide recommendations in the development, coordination, implementation, and administration of procedural operations in budget and finance; investigate, examine, and audit records and accounts; assist in designing and revising computer applications for an accounting system; assist in the supervision and training of finance personnel; and do related work as required. Qualifications: a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in accounting; and three years of professional experience involving the development, coordination, analysis, and evaluation of fiscal, organizational, and/or administrative support systems. Applicants may substitute additional experience for education on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree in public administration, business administration, management, or other closely related field may be substituted for one year of non-supervisory experience.
