COURT ADMINISTRATOR: City of Dublin, OH. TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR 2: Polk County Circuit Court, Oregon Judicial Department (OJD). Summary: As the Trial Court Administrator (TCA) for the Polk County Circuit Court, the incumbent will provide administration of all non-judicial court services mandated by statute and OJD’s Policy for the Circuit Court in Polk County. The TCA position is statutorily created and responsible for the care, custody, and control of court records. The TCA reports to the Presiding Judge and has full authority for all aspects of personnel, budget, financial accounting, management of information services, purchasing, capital asset management, and technical aspects of court operations such as accounting, security, case flow management, safety, facilities management, jury, court records, pretrial release, and archives. The TCA is responsible for strategic planning, policy implementation, and court operations including analyzing operating processes, administering a budget of approximately $3.5 million biennially and managing a staff of 22. Duties: The TCA supervises all court operations staff for the Polk County Circuit Court, including judicial support staff, 1 supervisor, and lead clerks. The TCA is an integral link between the court and the Office of the State Court Administrator, local Bar, adult and juvenile probation departments, local law enforcement agencies, juvenile and adult services providers, and a variety of civic organizations, the public in general, and the media. The TCA is responsible for implementing and complying with laws and policies, promoting public awareness and education about the court system, ensuring integrity of the criminal, civil, and juvenile justice systems, initiating and evaluating new service delivery techniques, acting as liaison and presenter of information among the court’s three judges, local and statewide officials, service providers and civic leaders. The TCA is also an integral link with local, Judicial Department, legislative and state agencies to develop a clear vision of the Oregon court system and the Polk County Circuit Court. The TCA is responsible to create and advocate for enabling legislation, and to work in collaboration and partnership with state and local agencies, the Bar and the public to promote justice services. In addition to these duties, the position is also responsible for performing the more complex work of the court as well as all administrative duties. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in court administration, business or public administration or closely related discipline and two years of recent management experience preferably gained in managing/performing court operations. A Juris doctorate or Master’s degree in Court, Public or Business Administration may substitute for one year of the Required experience. Applicants without the relevant educational background may substitute recent professional-level court administration or management experience on a year-for-year basis. Preference may be given to applicants with recent professional-level court administration, extensive supervisory, or managerial experience; and who possess a working knowledge of (“hands-on” experience with) multiple areas of court operations within the Oregon Judicial Department or another similar state court system. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Unified Judicial System, Grand Forks, ND. Summary: Under the direction of the state court administrator, the court administrator plans, organizes and directs court administrative activities for all courts within one of the four state administrative unites. This positions serves as manager to a large staff engaged in providing service to high-volume and complex caseloads including comprehensive district-wide programs, juvenile, and court administrative services. As the senior administrative position within the administrative unit, the position is responsible for providing leadership and guidance in all administrative areas with emphasis on the development and implementation of efficient and cohesive administrative processes. Staff oversight is provided through subordinate supervisors within the administrative unit. TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: North Carolina Superior Court, District 4A & 4B (Onslow, Duplin, Jones, and Sampson Counties). Summary: The NC Judicial Branch seeks a qualified individual to work as a Trial Court Administrator. Duties: Duties include the administration of case management and calendaring systems for civil cases in both Superior and District Court; administration of the jury management system; preparation of various statistical reports; and supervision of staff personnel. Summary: The purpose of this job is to provide a broad range of management and administrative services to the Superior, Juvenile, State, Magistrate, Probate, and Municipal Courts. TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Port St. Lucie, FL. Summary: The Trail Court Administrator (TCA) is an executive management position responsible for the administration of trial court operations, programs, and services including financial and budget services, strategic and operational planning, information technology and communications, security, personnel, facilities, capital projects, and public relations/public information. Duties: The TCA prepares the circuit court budget for state and county government appropriations, negotiates contracts with public and private vendors, manages a broad variety of court programs including mediation, Guardian Ad Litem, juvenile diversion, jury management, case management, court reporting, court interpreters, drug court, teen court, and elder court, plans and coordinates capital projects, and coordinates media access and serves as the public information officer for the court. The TCA is also responsible for long range and strategic planning for developing and implementing court technology initiatives, and maximizing judicial resources. Working relationships are established with judges, state attorneys, public defenders, clerk, judicial commissions, committees, and conferences, other state and federal courts (including the Supreme Court), community organizations and councils, local municipality and county government, state agencies, sheriffs' offices, and the public. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court, Albuquerque, NM. Summary: Court Administrator is an at-will senior management position hired by the Court Judges and supervised by the Chief Judge. Administers and manages a 24/7 high-volume, multi-faceted court of limited original jurisdiction. Duties: Responsibilities include but are not confined to managing multiple operational shifts of employees engaged in case initiation, file maintenance, bond posting, customer service, tracking and compliance, educational service, background investigation, client supervision, mediation, courtroom support, jury orientation and management, interpreter services and administrative functions supporting court judges in the disposition of court cases; exercising fiduciary responsibilities over the Court’s $77 million capital outlay, $6.8 million fixed asset inventory, $12.5 million personal services budget and over $35 million in revenues collected from case filings numbering over 200,000 per year; developing, institutionalizing and monitoring specialized pre-adjudication and post sentencing court programs such as Mediation, Domestic Violence Early Intervention, Pre-Trial Supervision, NCIC and Background Investigation Unit, Community Services, Drug Court, Probation, DWI School and Driver Improvement School to allow for sentencing options; and representing the Court before local governmental bodies, interest and advocacy groups, the media and the State Legislature. May perform other duties in order to meet the operational needs of the Court. CRIMINAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Tarrant County District Courts, TX. Duties: Implements Differentiated Felony Case Management (DFCM). Manages office of attorney appointments, grand jury bailiffs, auxiliary district court coordinators, DIRECT program staff and mental health diversion program staff. Supervises attorney for indigent clients appointment projects (SB7). Attends, represents or acts as liaison for criminal judges at meetings of Commissioners Court, IT steering committee, telephone sub-committee, Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee, Bail Bond Board, and Tarrant County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. COURT EXECUTIVE OFFICER: Superior Court of California, Mendocino County. Summary: The Court is seeking a highly qualified individual to direct administration of non-judicial activities. Duties: Under authority of Mendocino Court judges, and supervision of the Presiding Judge, the person appointed to this position will be responsible for administration of non-judicial staff and will serve judges in execution of Court business. The Court Executive Officer (CEO) will also function as Clerk of the Court. Qualifications: An educational level equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in court administration, public administration, public or business administration, criminal justice or closely related field and five years of progressively responsible court administration experience A minimum of one year courtroom experience is desirable. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: New Mexico. Judicial Branch, Third Judicial District Court. Summary: The Third Judicial District Court is accepting applications for the position of Court Administrator 3. Duties: This is an unclassified full-time position which works under administrative direction from the Chief Judge, manages all administrative activities and facilities of a district court, including the management of court programs and the clerk’s office, human resource management, fiscal administration, budgeting, and speaking before legislative and local government bodies. Summary: Under administrative direction, manages all activities and facilities of a court and directly supervises subordinate staff. Develops and presents budget requests before legislative and local governments. Participates in short and long-term planning for the court. DISTRICT COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Position in Ingham County District Court, Mason, Michigan. Duties: Under general direction of the Chief Judge, has responsibility for research, development and implementation of all non-judicial court policy. Produces reports, statistical analysis, long and short range plans as well as budget preparation and monitoring. Supervise District Court staff including the Probation Department. Will be responsible as the liaison to and for the court in making contacts and presentations to county offices, legislative bodies, court agencies, criminal justice agencies, media, bar association groups and the general public. Will be responsible for employee and labor relations functions involving recruitment, hiring, training, staff assignments, discipline, and grievance procedures. May be asked to take part in collective bargaining negotiations within the court. Will develop and oversee the “on-line computerization” of District Court operation. Summary: This position serves as administrator for Hood River , Wasco, Sherman, Gilliam and Wheeler counties. These counties, located in north central Oregon, cover a 6,696 square mile area and encompass rivers, forests, mountains, farmlands, ports, and unique geological formations; offering an abundance of outdoor activities.
