TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: AOC, Judicial District 18, Greensboro, NC. Summary: Judicial District 18, located in Greensboro, North Carolina, has an exciting and challenging position available. COURT EXECUTIVE OFFICER: Superior Court of California, County of Sacramento. Summary: Acting under the direction of the presiding judge and at the pleasure of the judges of the court, the court executive officer serves not only in that capacity but as the court’s clerk and jury commissioner. He or she is responsible for overseeing the management and administration of non-judicial operations of the court. The responsibilities include allocating resources in a manner that promotes access to justice for all members of the public, providing a forum for the fair and expeditious resolution of disputes, maximizing the use of judicial and other resources, increasing the efficiency of court operations, and enhancing service to the public. The executive officer’s main office is in Sacramento. Some travel is required – to other court locations, to the AOC in San Francisco and to other job-related destinations. Duties: The executive officer is responsible for providing innovative creative leaderships and policy development to meet the challenges of a large urban trial court. Essential functions, accountabilities and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to: Provides information and recommendations to the bench on court policy and procedure, evaluation, planning and development. Plans manages and controls budget and fiscal resources and negotiates contracts on the court’s behalf. Plans, implements and manages policies, programs and systems to support case processing and service to the public. Develops, recommends and administers a court-approved personnel plan and directs management staff. Has authority to appoint and terminate court employees except as prohibited by law or court policy. Evaluates and implements technology and automated systems to assist the court. Under the direction of the Presiding Judge, speaks on behalf of the court with other governmental entities, the public, the private sector and the media. Qualifications: The minimum educational requirement is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in court, public or business administration; pubic policy; or a closely related field. Work experience must have included assignments that involved substantial administrative management, supervision of subordinate managers and budget preparation and management. REGIONAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County. DISTRICT COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Eighth Judicial Administrative District, Lyons, Georgia. Summary: The Eighth Judicial Administrative District of Georgia, located in middle Georgia, seeks a DCA to assist the District Council of Superior Court Judges and its Administrative Judge in a wide range of non-judicial functions relevant to trial court operations. Duties: Duties to include, providing administrative, budgetary, managerial and technical support to all superior courts within the 22 county district, and to other courts as requested; collecting and evaluating relevant caseload and other statistical data; recommending and implementing innovative programs and procedures to improve court operations; developing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with government officials, bar associations and other court related agencies and officials on a local, regional and state level; managing personnel, equipment and other resources as appropriate; preparing grant applications; and performing other related or assigned duties. Summary: In partnership with the Assignment Judge and Administrative Director of the Courts, the Trial Court Administrator provides strong leadership, vision, and innovative strategies to direct and oversee all operations of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Atlantic and Cape May Vicinage. Duties: The successful candidate will define objectives for performance at the organizational level; deliver quality service to the clients and customers of the Superior and Municipal Courts; design case management processes; develop/implement strategic plans to achieve the goals and objectives of the vicinage management and policy teams; develop and manage a $27 million budget; allocate resources for approximately 500 employees; supervise nine Division Managers and the EEO/AA Officer. COURT ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER II: Minnesota District Court 4th Judicial District, Minneapolis, MN. Summary: This is an executive administrative and management position involving the supervision of the Criminal division for the Fourth Judicial District, the largest judicial district having the highest caseloads in the Minnesota State Court System. This position oversees the District’s Criminal Courts, including all felony, gross misdemeanor, misdemeanor and petty misdemeanor charges, our specialty courts, such as Drug, Community, Property and Domestic Violence Courts, and our high-volume Violations Bureau and Hearing Office. COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Bismarck, ND. Summary: Under the direction of the state court administrator, the court administrator plans, organizes and directs court administrative activities for all courts within one of the four state administrative units. This position serves as a manager to a large staff engaged in providing service to high volume and complex caseloads including comprehensive district-wide programs, juvenile, and court administrative services. As the senior administrative position within the administrative unit, the position is responsible for providing leadership and guidance in all administrative areas with emphasis on the development and implementation of efficient and cohesive administrative processes. Staff oversight is provided through subordinate supervisors within the administrative unit. Duties: include, but are not limited to, the management of juvenile, fiscal, docket and case flow, jury, records, personnel, facilities, data processing and various district or state-wide functions. CIRCUIT COURT ADMINISTRATOR: Prince George's County Circuit Court, Upper Marlboro, MD. Summary: This position functions under the direction of the County Administrative Judge. Duties: All non-judicial administrative functions of the Circuit Court are included as part of the managerial responsibilities of this position. TRIAL COURT ADMINISTRATOR (government sev.) Summary: Administers non-judicial functions of court. and training: graduated from an accredited four-year college or
university with major course work in public administration,
business administration, or judicial administration, and five
years experience in executive administrative management or
court administration; progressively responsible experience in a
related field may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for
the required college training; masters degree in one of the
above areas may be substituted for one year of the required
experience. Duties: Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
handle special or sensitive assignments with tact and diplomacy;
interpersonal skills to work effectively with personnel in the
judicial system; ability to communicate both orally and in
writing; knowledge of the Florida state courts system and
justice system; basic personnel management skills, fiscal
management skills; public relations skills; ability to persuade,
motivate, and negotiate; supervisory skills; ability to adapt to
changes, new ideas, or new objectives; ability to work with
accuracy in computing budgets, payrolls, and setting schedules;
and perform duties and responsibilities dependably. Salary

COURT ADMINISTRATOR:

County. Duties:
Direct, organize, coordinate, integrate, and oversee the
operations of superior court administration and superior court
departments; assist judges in establishing and implementing
court policies; assist judges in planning for all facets of
court operations; coordinate activities and services with court
departments and government agencies (local and state) to meet
the needs and goals of superior court. Qualifications: a
bachelor's degree in business, public, or judicial
administration or closely related field from an academically
accredited college or university, and ten years of progressively
responsible administrative experience in court management or
judicial administration; or a master's degree and five years of
experience in the aforementioned fields. Responsible experience
in a court-related environment may be substituted for the
educational requirements on a year-for-year basis. Salary,

EXECUTIVE
OFFICER:
Superior
Court of the State of
California, Lakeport. Duties:
supervise the court's staff; administer a court-approved
personnel plan; prepare and implement court budgets; negotiate
contracts; supervise and employ efficient calendar and case flow
management; analyze, evaluate, and implement automated systems
to assist the court; plan physical space needs; purchase and
manage equipment and supplies; act as clearinghouse for news
releases and other publications for the media and public; create
and manage uniform recordkeeping systems, collecting data on
pending and completed judicial business and the internal
operation of the court; act as liaison to other governmental
agencies; act as staff for judicial committees; act as
arbitration administrator and jury commissioner; perform other
duties as the court directs. Qualifications: a
baccalaureate or graduate degree in law, court administration,
public administration, business administration, or a related
field and three years of increasingly responsible administrative
experience in a court system, law office, governmental agency,
or other legal setting; knowledge of management methods,
including principles of personnel management and supervision,
budget preparation and administration, grant application,
organizational analysis, legislative analysis, and data
processing; ability to manage personnel, communicate well, and
maintain effective relationships with judges, attorneys, county
officials, the public, and court staff. Administrative
experience in court operations and in the coordination and
consolidation of municipal courts is desirable. Salary range:
$43,440 - $52,812. (1994)
