COURT AUTOMATION PROJECT DIRECTORSummary: The Louisiana Supreme Court is currently seeking an experienced software development engineer to direct the design implementation and maintenance of a statewide automated case management system.  Qualifications:  experience with systems administration, project leadership and good development methodology in a client-server architecture.  The ideal candidate should also possess excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with users.  Applicants must have at least 10 years of experience in a variety of computer hardware and software environments and have demonstrated an ability to successfully develop software.  Annual salary range:  depends on experience.  Salary requirements must be included with resume. DIRECTOR OF AUTOMATION PROGRAMS--Administrative Office of the Courts, Little Rock, Arkansas.  Duties:  responsible for oversight of all state court automation projects including oversight of automation budget and staff of eight professionals.  Work will include planning, supervision and evaluation of a new project to provide automation to all state trial courts.  Qualifications:  a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Public/Business Administration, or related field and a minimum of five years of responsible management or supervisory experience, at least three years of which include management of an information system, are required.  Project management experience, experience in a court setting, and a graduate degree in a related field are preferred.  Maximum salary:  $50,0000.  (1995)TECHNOLOGY ADVISOR--Supreme Court of Delaware, Wilmington, Delaware.  Duties:  one-year limited appointment to assist the Supreme Court Committee on Technology in the development, coordination, and implementation of a comprehensive technology plan for the Delaware courts’ system; works closely with those charged with creating uniform standards in the design and acquisition of court technology systems.  Qualifications:  formal education and training to provide working knowledge of the legal system and the use of technology in a court/legal environment.  Annual salary:  $47,000, with benefits. (1994)

COMPUTER SPECIALIST VII-- Arizona Supreme Court, Phoenix, Arizona.  Duties:  participates as a lead member of a small development team, which will develop a client/server court management system to support Arizona ’s three appellate courts.  Qualifications:  extensive VMS, DOS, and Windows experience required; client/server development experience using tools such as PowerBuilder (preferred) or VisualBasic; extensive relational database design and SQL programming experience essential, Rdb and C/C + + experience preferred; digital Alpha AXP experience desirable; WordPerfect and Lotus experience useful; considerable experience in software development using structure methods and RAD techniques; previous experience directing development teams crucial; strong written and verbal communication skills essential; bachelor’s degree in computer science and ten or more years’ experience developing and supporting computer applications.  Salary range:  $50,570.
