COURT ANALYST: Douglas County District Court, Omaha, Nebraska. Duties: Monitors and evaluates caseflow-management policies and procedures. Prepares and oversees case-management reports and analysis of case flow and delay reduction. Monitors progress and disposition of District Court cases (a) assigned to judges of other courts within the Fourth Judicial District and (b) assigned to district-court judges from outside the Fourth Judicial District. Prepares narrative and financial reports for various federal and state grants and funding authorities. Assists Court Administrator with preparation and monitoring of District Court budget, including review of expenditure reports. Prepares written reports for various specialized court programs, including fee collections and restitution payments. Provides oversight for the District Court website, with responsibility for information content and periodic updates. Prepares presentations, reports, and correspondence for the Court. Performs general and legal research. Provides assistance and support for court technology. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Prospective candidates should have a minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in case management, record keeping, data collection and review, and statistical analysis. Familiarity with legal terminology, court and government operations, and demonstrated ability to understand and apply a body of rules, regulations, directives, or laws are essential. A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Judicial Administration, Statistics, Systems Analysis, Political Science, or Criminal Justice is required. A graduate degree in any area cited above, or a Juris Doctor degree, is preferred. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug-screening test and a criminal history background check is required. BASIC SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: This position carries with it a great deal of responsibility and requires a self-motivated person with a professional attitude and the ability to work collaboratively. Court Analysts provide professional level assistance and report directly to the District Court Administrator on a daily basis. The candidate must have the ability to organize, analyze, and interpret technical data regarding case processing. Superior writing, editing, and research skills. Demonstrated ability to prepare narrative reports, statistical analyses, and grant financial reports. Prior experience with Microsoft Office 2000, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to handle and maintain sensitive matters on a confidential basis. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to interact with judicial officers and staff in a responsible and professional manner. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with judicial officers, coworkers, members of the legal community, and the public. COURT SERVICES OFFICER 2: Appellate Division, AOC, Trenton, NJ. Summary: The New Jersey Judiciary is searching for a candidate to join a case processing team in the Appellate Division. Duties: The selected individual will be responsible for the management of a caseload of appeals from docketing until ready for calendaring and post judgment activity; analyzing, monitoring and processing appeals in accordance with court rules and established practices; setting priorities and organizing work to ensure efficiency; processing motions and issuing appropriate orders; maintaining the automated docket for all appeals; responding to inquiries from judges, attorneys, and other interested parties regarding appellate procedures and/or the status of appeals; completing the final review of appeals to ensure appeals are ready for the court’s review; and other relate duties as required. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree. ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST: Office of Management and Administrative Services, HR Division, AOC, Trenton, NJ. Summary: The AOC Human Resources Division is seeking a self-motivated analyst with strong analytical and organizational skills, an eye for detail, a customer service philosophy and the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment. SENIOR COURT SERVICES ANALYST / COURT SERVICES ANALYST: Administrative Officer of the Courts, San Francisco, CA. Summary: Senior and Court Services Analysts are responsible for performing substantive analytical work, staffing committees, coordinating educational offerings, and providing subject matter expertise, technical assistance and consultation to court staff throughout the state. Duties: As a member of its family dispute resolution team, the person in this position will work closely with Family Court Services and related mediation and evaluation professionals throughout the statewide courts. Under the direction of the supervisor of the family dispute resolution unit, the analyst will: Serve as subject matter expert in child custody and mediation projects; Provide consultation and technical assistance to the courts' family court services and mediation programs, including court visits; Develop and coordinate education and training programs for the courts' mediators and evaluators, including online and distance learning products; Oversee the training approval process for mandated mediation, evaluation and domestic violence training and continuing education; Maintain AOC's status as an approved training provider for CEU credits with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, American Psychological Association, and Minimum Continuing Legal Education; Participate in the development, revision, or implementation of standards of practice, rules of court or forms related to the courts' family dispute resolution services for families and children; Review and analyze relevant legislation; Research complex topics and issues, preparing analytic reports and recommendations; Compile and calculate costs of projects or programs and prepare preliminary budgets; Conduct special studies utilizing principles, methods, and tools of data collection and statistical analysis; and Collaborate with other AOC and CFCC staff on appropriate projects. SENIOR MANAGEMENT ANALYST (Records Management): Las Vegas, Nevada. Duties: Provides complex and sensitive management and programmatic support to the Las Vegas Justice Court by maintaining current knowledge of laws, regulations, statutes and codes affecting records management and recommends modifications or revisions to management to improve effectiveness and efficiency of operation. Examines and evaluates records management systems to develop new or improve existing methods for efficient handling, protecting, and disposing of Court records and information. Evaluates findings and recommends changes or modifications in internal policies and procedures, coding systems and filing methods, such as digital archiving, document imagining, automating-filing and document tracking. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and county statutes and regulations related to confidentiality, archiving, retention, and destruction of court records. Drafting of court policy on access to court records. Coordinates with local and state justice community on exchange of criminal justice records and the developing of record standards and best practices. Coordinate public assess for court files and documents. Assists in developing goals, objectives, policies, procedures and work standards for the department or program to which assigned; coordinates budget development for the function(s) and administers expenditures for assigned areas of responsibility. Develops and implements funding and staffing requirements for the programmatic area to which assigned; prepares grant and alternative funding requests; monitors activities and ensures that all programmatic and reporting requirements are met. Plans, organizes and directs complex administrative, operational, budgetary or other studies with Countywide or major internal operational or funding impact. Reviews and analyzes alternatives and makes recommendations regarding such matters as organizational structure, team and quality improvement alternatives, budget development and administration, staffing, facilities, productivity, and policy, procedure, legal and regulatory development and implementation. Confers with and represents the department and the County in meetings with staff from other departments, representatives of governmental, community, business, professional and public agencies and the public. Provides liaison and staff support to a variety of committees and commissions. Directs the work of professional, technical or support staff on a project or day-to-day basis; provides training to staff and may be responsible for such supervisory functions as performance evaluation and discipline. SENIOR COURT ANALYST II: Office of the State Courts Administrator, Court Services, Tallahassee, Florida. Summary: This is responsible professional work performing complex analytical and statistical research, preparing detailed written reports, and making formal presentations of recommendations on a variety of court management studies and projects. An employee assigned to a position in this class is responsible for research techniques and design, data collecting and selecting the methods of data collection and presentation. Duties: Recommendations may include an evaluation of existing court programs and making proposals for improving court management and the delivery of court services. A Senior Court Analyst II may also act as a project leader in developing and implementing new court programs, and providing technical assistance to the district and circuit courts. Program responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, jury management, case management, sentencing guidelines, judicial certification, court reporter certification, alternative dispute resolution, and interpreter certification. A Senior Court Analyst II also provides professional support to judicial committees, commissions, councils, and boards. Working relationships are established with justices, judges, court administrators, clerks of court, a variety of professionals serving judicial commissions, and other officers of the judicial and criminal justice system. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Director of Research, Planning, and Court Services, a Court Program Manager, or a Court Administrator. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with major course work in judicial administration, public administration, criminology, research design, statistics, systems analysis, political science, or a related social science, and four years of professional experience in judicial administration, research and analysis, or program administration and evaluation. A master’s degree in an area cited above may substitute for two years of the recommended experience. Salary Range: $3,701.28 - $6,847.37 (Monthly). ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST 3: Superior Court of New Jersey, Essex Vicinage. Summary: The General Operations Division of Essex Vicinage is seeking a dynamic professional, who is innovative, organized and energetic. Duties: The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual to design reports and analyze municipal court data including data required under N.J.S.A. 26:2B-35; draft budgets and quarterly reports for grant administration; attend various committee and subcommittee meetings and prepare minutes as necessary. COURT ANALYST: State of New York, Unified Court System, Ninth Judicial District. Putnam County Family Court-Drug Court. White Plains, NY. Summary: Court Analysts work under direct supervision, individually or on project teams, performing confidential analysis, research, planning and other related duties in one of the following areas; budget development and court finance; personnel/payroll administration; resource allocation; and court system management and administration. The candidate will oversee the implementation of the Drug court. Duties: Duties will include statistical record keeping and reporting, data entry, program development and community networking. The coordinator will regularly interface with any and all State and/or local service agencies necessary to ensure service to court clientele, assist in various short and long term projects and represent the court at interagency meetings and conferences. ASSISTANT COURT ANALYST (Program Assistant): State of New York Unified Court System. Fifth Judicial District. Duties: Syracuse Community Treatment Court/Syracuse City Court. Assistant Court Analysts provide professional level assistance to Court Analysts and higher-level personnel in the Analyst series in projects involving personnel administration, resource allocation, budget development and court finance, administration and policy formation. They may perform as part of a project team where they may be assigned entry level professional tasks which, under supervision of a Court Analyst or Senior Court Analyst, are designed to enhance the professional growth of the employee. The Syracuse Community Treatment Court provides comprehensive case management and monitoring services to substance abuse defendants. Acting under the supervision of the Program Director the Assistant Court Analyst will at as Program Assistant to the court. This will include clerical and data entry functions as they relate to Drug Court operations. This will also include some interaction with the Drug Court participants and partner agencies. Qualifications: One year in the Junior Court Analyst title; or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or high school diploma or the equivalent and four years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. ASSISTANT COURT ANALYST/TREATMENT COURT COORDINATOR: State of New York Unified Court System, 3rd Judicial District. Ulster County Family Court. Kingston, New York. Summary: Assistant Court Analysts provide professional level assistance to Court Analyst and higher level personnel in the Analyst Series in projects involving personnel administration, resource allocation, budget development and court finance, administration and policy formation. They may perform as part of a project team where they may be assigned entering level professional tasks which, under supervision of a Court Analyst or Senior Court Analyst, are designed to enhance the professional growth of the employee. Under the direct supervision of the Treatment Court Judge and Chief Clerk, this individual will act as the Treatment Court Coordinator/Case Manager for the Treatment Court in Ulster County Family Court, working closely with the Treatment Court Team. Duties: This position will be responsible for case management activities and administering the drug treatment court case management system. Other duties will include writing grant proposals, statistical reporting, data entry, program development and community networking. Experience chemical dependency assessment, together with a working knowledge of the treatment community, a general understanding of the criminal justice system and work experience and/or of knowledge of drug treatment court(s) are desirable. Strong computer skills including experience with Windows NT and WordPerfect are needed to skillfully coordinate this program. Duties will be discussed in greater detail at the time of the interview. COURT ANALYST/SENIOR CASE MANAGER: Supreme Court, Kings County, New York City. Summary: Court Analyst work under direct supervision, individually or on project teams, performing confidential analysis, research, planning, and other related duties in one or more of the following areas; budget development and court finance; personnel administration; resource allocation; and court system management, court facilities and administration. COURT PROGRAM ANALYST: Office of the Administrator for the Courts, Olympia, Washington. Duties:  Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates judicially related programs that involve direct contact with the courts regarding program objectives; serves as liaison with the Superior Court Judges Association; responsible for staffing the Association Board and various committees, monitoring legislation and impacts on the superior courts; and managing other programs as deemed necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in court administration, public administration, business administration, or related field AND three years' experience in court administration or program development. Additional experience in court administration or program development will substitute for education on a year for year basis. COURT SPECIALIST: Washington State Office of the Administrator for the Courts, Olympia, WA. This position will be filled at either the II or III level. Duties: Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates judicially related programs that involve direct contact with the courts regarding program objectives. Positions at the III level are responsible for completing complex or major projects, exercising independent judgment in managing programs, coordinating project and funding requirements and acting as team leader on special projects. COURT SERVICES SPECIALIST: Minnesota Supreme Court, St. Paul, MN. Duties: Provides consulting services and technical assistance to trial and appellate courts. Assists in the analysis of court administrative and justice system procedures/operations and designs alternative management techniques and processes. Develops recommendations on case flow and jury management, domestic violence and child protection issues, specialized court calendars and systems, community and teen courts, restorative justice and early juvenile court intervention programs and other court matters. Works with the courts, other justice system government agencies, and social service agencies to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate judicial programs. Provides staff support to project committees or teams; support includes drafting rules, policies and procedures, drafting budget proposals, writing grant proposals and reports. Summary: Alameda County is building a custom case management and decision support application (DOMAIN) for use by the municipal and superior courts in this county.  The Civil System is deployed in two municipal court locations.
