Trends Reports 

The Future Trends in State Courts, produced annually, is intended to support courts in their strategic planning efforts and stimulate thought and discussion about important current issues in the courts.  The report has been a product of Knowledge and Information Services (formerly information Services) since the early nineties.  Each Trends report is comprised of a series of individual articles by experts in the field.

Court Futures Dialogue 

Future Trends attempts to address “The Future,” and how courts confront it, with a provocative “Court Futures Discussion” which brings together three futurists and three court professionals in a roundtable “blog.” The panelists look at many important questions, including “Why is it so difficult for courts to sustain futures planning

Ten Trends Impacting State Courts 2006 

Part 1 of Future Trends in State Courts 2006 features “Ten Trends Impacting State Courts.” These topics were selected because they appeared time and time again from several sources, including an NCSC survey sent to court constituents, reviews of the most requested topics for information, and web hits to the NCSC site. These ten trends are the areas that courts need to plan for most carefully. The history, the present, the future, innovative practices, and additional resources are presented for these topics.
