The 1999-2000 edition of the Report on Trends in the State Courts tested a different format for providing content.  The principal report was shortened to enable a quick review by constituents.  In addition, 19 supplemental articles, many written by authors recruited from outside the National Center for their particular knowledge or insight, were provided online to augment the contents of the principal report or to cover other timely subjects that the principal report did not address.
