Begun
in late 2004, the Center's Digital Archive is part of the
Library's commitment to providing easy access to NCSC publications.
These resources, which include reports from our Research Department,
Trends reports, NCSC annual reports, and other valuable publications,
date back to 1971 and cover
all areas of judicial administration. Currently, the Archive has over 4000
documents and it will continue to grow throughout 2009.
The
documents in the Archive are cataloged by the author's name, title,
subjects and date of publication. The subject headings used correspond
to the various headings in NCSC's CourTopics
database.
The
Archive is powered by CONTENTdm, a digital asset management tool being
used by university and research libraries across the country, and is
organized into several different topic-based collections, each with its
own homepage providing search and browse options. The items themselves
are in PDF format, which requires Adobe's Acrobat Reader, and can be
searched online, as well as printed. Digital imaging services were
provided by FedEx Kinko's and DataBank IMX.
We
think our constituents will find this Digital Archive a useful tool, and
hope that you will take advantage of the ever-expanding collection of
resources it offers.
