Course Overview:
Bring practical techniques for improving jury system management to your court. Learn how to save thousands of dollars annually while making jury service a positive experience for your community and ensuring its statutory integrity. Determine the effect of using a one-day/one-trial jury system in your court. Does the public view jury duty in your community as a responsibility and privilege of citizenship or as an ordeal to be avoided? For over 25 years, the National Center for State Courts has studied the management of juror selection and juror service, leading to more representative panels, increased citizen participation, reduced system costs, and more defensible jury systems. This course will be conducted at the Superior Court of Maricopa County and will be complemented with a presentation about their jury management operations.

Through collaboration with the Superior Court of Maricopa County, this course will be held at the Old Courthouse Building, 125 W. Washington Street, 6th floor. The Old Courthouse Building is located approximately 3 blocks from the hotel.
