In-Person Courses

The Institute for Court Management boasts a significant record for training and educating judicial branch personnel in the growing body of knowledge on court leadership and management concepts, case management, human resources management, the court performance standards and other areas deemed critical to professional development.

ICM faculty strives to provide both theory and practical information that is readily applicable and transferable to the court setting. As both practitioners and teachers, they bring a unique vision to help court staff use information in a practical way.

Live in-person courses have been the hallmark of ICM's educational offerings. These courses are presented in various locations throughout the United States. A typical course is two and one-half days long with evenings free, allowing participants to network with other class members in an informal manner.

To see a complete listing of ICM In Person courses, be sure to check the calendar throughout the year for new programs and selected topics useful for your professional development.

Online Courses
Participating in an ICM eLearning course requires no special technical skills and the content can be accessed using familiar, standardized software. Participants in eLearning courses have 24/7 access for three months from the date of registration and payment. Technical Support is available for participants through phone or email and each course contains helpful hints that make access easy.

For the first time, ICM now offers eLearning courses that carry certification credit for the Court Executive Development Program and Court Management Program.

ICM is continually adding new eLearning courses to our catalogue on topics important to court staff.  Choose a type of course and topic that best suits your needs and eliminate the costly travel and time required to attend a face-to-face course.
  • Mini Courses – are typically focused on a narrow topic with 3-4 hours of presentation materials. Costs range from $195 - $295.
  • Certification Courses – are robust courses which include self-assessment tests, work exercises, reading assignments, threaded discussions and instructor feedback.  Requiring 18–25 hours to complete, participants can receive certification credits for ICM’s CEDP and CMP programs.  Costs range from $395 - $795.
ICM uses WebCT, a recognized leader in on-line learning, as the course management system to deliver classes.
