Public Awareness Campaign
Justice system leaders need to play an active role in increasing public awareness of the role of courts in our society. The online NCSC Speakers Bureau, launched in November 2006, provides judges with the tools they need to address the public about judicial independence and the role of the courts, ranging from prepared speeches written by judges and other court professionals to useful talking points and reference materials. In addition, NCSC started the development of a graphic novel about how the justice system works and a poster series that tells stories of how the courts help protect the public.
