Court Culture Assessment
All courts work toward achieving common goals—fairness, consistency, and timeliness—even though their local legal cultures differ considerably. NCSC is working to describe the two dimensions of court culture (sociability and solidarity), as well as court cultural types (communal, autonomous, networked, and hierarchical), to develop a coherent framework to describe and assess how courts do business.
