National Ad Hoc Committee on Judicial Campaign Conduct
NCSC established this committee to enhance the quality of judicial campaigns and behavior by encouraging and supporting judicial campaign conduct committees. Judicial candidates are frequently questioned about their opinions on various cases and issues during their campaigns—questions that could compromise their role as judges later if they answer them. In 2006 the National Ad Hoc Committee developed “How Should Judicial Candidates Respond to Questionnaires?” which provides judges with essential guidance on how to respond to interest groups while still maintaining the impartiality they need to serve on the bench.
