Janet G. Cornell, court administrator for
the Scottsdale City Court in Arizona, has been named recipient of the
2002 Fellows Star Award, which is presented annually to an Institute
for Court Management (ICM) Fellow. ICM, which is the educational
division of the National Center for State Courts, is the premier
judicial branch education organization in the country.

Star Award
recipients, who are nominated by ICM Fellows, demonstrate excellence
in the advancement of court administration through leadership and
education. They are recognized by their peers for their positive
contributions to the profession of court administration.
Cornell is a 1991
graduate of ICM’s Court Executive Development Program (CEDP) and
serves as a CEDP faculty member. She is a past president of the
National Association for Court Management (NACM) and served on its
Board of Directors from 1992 to 1999. She is a member of the
Conference of State Court Administrators and NACM Joint Technology
Committee, the Forum on the Advancement of Court Technology (FACT),
the American Judicature Society, the American Bar Association, and a
past president of the Arizona Courts Association. |
