“I
was really surprised,” said Munsterman. It was an honor, given my
respect for the organization and the previous recipients.” OJMA
president Tom Shields presented the award to Munsterman. “I was at
a loss for words,” Munsterman said,
“but I knew that would pass. It did.”
OJMA
was formed to promote and enhance jury service for the citizens of
Ohio and is made up of judges, jury commissioners, court
administrators, and other court personnel involved in jury
management. In one of Munsterman’s Jury News columns published in
Court Manager Vol. 17, No. 2, he talks about the importance of organizations
such as OJMA, “We should . . . think about such an organization in
each state.” That article is available at www. ncsconline.org.
