Court Official Selected
to Participate in Harvard Leadership Program

(May 7, 2007) –
James D. Gingerich, Director of the Arkansas Administrative
Office of the Courts, has been selected to participate in the leadership
development program for senior executives sponsored by the Kennedy
School of Government at Harvard University.
Gingerich
will join other leaders from government, business and industry from the
United States and around the world. His participation is funded by the
National Center for State Courts, where he currently serves as a member
and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. In 2006-07 Gingerich is
also serving as the President of the Conference of State Court
Administrators, the association of chief court executives from each U.S.
state and territory.
Gingerich
has served as Arkansas’ state court administrator since 1988. He holds
an undergraduate degree from the University of Central Arkansas, a juris
doctorate from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, and a master
of law degree in international law from the University of Bristol,
England.
The National Center for State Courts, headquartered in Williamsburg, Va.,
is a non-profit court-reform organization dedicated to improving the
administration of justice by providing leadership and service to the
state courts. The
National Center, founded in 1971 by the Conference of Chief Justices and
Chief Justice of the United States Warren E. Burger, provides education,
training, and technology, management, and research services to the
nation’s state courts.
