Tom Munsterman, director of NCSC’s Center for Jury Studies, last week received the Ernest C. Friesen Award of Excellence, presented by the Justice Management Institute’s (JMI) Board of Directors. Each year, JMI presents the award to an individual who has demonstrated vision, leadership, and sustained commitment to the achievement of excellence in the administration of justice. Munsterman’s many accomplishments include providing technical assistance to local courts and states in more than 50 jurisdictions, teaching jury management workshops in at least 36 states, and authoring numerous articles and books on juries.
